Everything had been nothing short of amazing for a few months. There were days when Peter had to make sure he wasnt dreaming. Of course Tony and Peter spend every bit of free time they had together, and the brunette found himself sleeping over at Tony's tower more often than in his own apartment. Of course there were some difficult times, especially with the help from the people who once adored Tony, but now cursed his name and spat on it. But all in all, Peter and Tony both had been floating on cloud nine. That is, until Peter ended up in the hospital and their entire world changed.
Peter was walking to class, excited for the science major field trip. They were going to Oscorp Genetics Lab, a lab that was known for rare and genetically engineered species. He was so excited he could barely sit still. When they finally got on the bus, he found a seat next to his new friend Liz, and an old friend from high school, MJ. "Guys I'm so excited!!!" He beamed, humming with energy.
Liz laughed at his childlike enthusiasm "Someone likes to get out of the classroom." She joked, but she was just as excited. "So what species are you most excited about?"
"Okay okay so I know I always talk about how freaked out I am by spiders, but it's got to be this new radioactive spider. It's so new they haven't even named it yet. And it's one of a kind. They created it accidentally, so they have no clue how to do it again yet." Peter's honey eyes lit up as he spoke about the spider.
MJ rolled her eyes "Knowing you you'll end up knocking over the case and get bit." She jeered, laughing a bit.
Peter pouted a little "Hey! I'm not that clumsy" he protested, but laughed along with her, knowing all to well that we was that clumsy.

As they entered the lab Peter's eyes went wide and his mouth hung open. His eyes twinkled as he looked up to the tall ceiling, in complete and utter awe. When he looked back down he practically squealed with excitement. The spider was right there in the center of the room in a glass aquarium.
"Here we have all the latest species, these are the ones we are still deeply studying. You may look, and feel free to flip through the observations listed in the binders by each animal, but please, for the safety of you and others, do not touch the animals or their enclosures." A tall man in a white lab coat spoke. His voice was welcoming, but stern near the end. He moved to the side to allow the students a closer look.
Of course Peter made his way to the spider first. The sight of it made his skin crawl but it was just so damn fascinating. He a stared at it a while before he flipped through the binder beside of it. 'red and blue in color, seems ordinary at first glance.' he continued to flip 'created by unknown substance spill in lab 234' he tilted his head. Was that it? He flipped more. Holy crap, they really didn't know anything about it. Peter was sure they would've known something. He sighed, setting the book back down, a bit disappointed. He didn't bother looking at it again, but if he had, he wouldve noticed that it was no longer in his habitat.

For the rest of the trip, Peter felt a little bummed, but it didn't stop him from getting excited about all the other exciting animals and labs and such. When they finally exited, Peter was ecstatic to see Tony waiting for him.
Something about seeing Tony in a suit, leaning against a sleek black Tesla made Peter want to take him right then and there. Of course Tony was attractive without the suit and Tesla as well. The younger male beamed with joy as he ran over to his boyfriend, jumping into his arms and kissing him lovingly. "I missed you!" He smiled
Tony laughed and kissed him back. "I missed you too. How was the trip?"
Peter shrugged "It was cool, but they didn't know as much about ol' Tom as I thought."
"Ol' Tom?" Tony raised a brow, confused as to what Peter was referencing.
"Oh! Yeah, I gave the radioactive spider a name. Tom Holland." He smiled "I dunno, I liked it. And I figured at least one person should give him a name if nothing else."
Tony laughed "you're too cute."
Peter smiled "Only for you~" he gushed. "How was your day?" He asked, getting into the car.
Tony got into the car as well with a sigh "boring. Full of meetings, and I had to push half of them because someone decided making a bomb was fun, so of course Iron Man had to come out to play." He set the car on auto pilot and yawned.
"Really?! A bomb? Is everyone okay? Are you okay?" The college student's eyes widened as he rambled
"I'm fine, babe. And yes everyone else is okay too." He smiled, ruffling his hair.
Peter nodded "okay, good." He sighed softly. "I wish I could be a superhero like you...you help so many people, and you're so badass and sexy while you do it."
"Careful what you wish for, being a superhero is dangerous and time consuming, as I'm sure you've noticed."
Peter shrugged, "but then I'd get to be there with you, to help you." He countered, sighing softly "I guess you're right though. I dunno if I'd even make a good hero." He hummed softly, looking out the window.
"Hey. You would be the best of the best." Tony assured him, flashing a warm smile.
"You thi-- ow!!" Peter felt a sharp pain in his hand and he shook it instantly out of instinct. The radioactive spider fell down onto the console, now dead. His eyes widened.
"What? What's the matter?" Worry filled Tony's tone and expression as he focused completely on Peter.
"I uh...I think...I just got bit by Tom..." Peter's eyes rolled back and he passed out in the passengers seat before he could say another word.
Tony's eyes widened and he shook his lover "Pete?! Pete!!" He turned to the wheel, taking it off auto pilot and flooring it to the hospital when he didn't get a response.

When Peter woke, his vision was a bit blurry, he looked around, seeing Tony, Aunt May, MJ, Liz, and Ned. He managed a weak smile "H-hey...what happened?" He asked softly. It was obvious he was in a hospital bed, and a gown. He had two IVs going and Tony was clinging to his hand.
"You got bit by that Oscorp spider." Ned answered.
"Yeah, and I'm going to sue." Aunt May glared, arms crossed.
"Apparently they didn't seal the aquarium properly.." Liz continued.
Peter looked around, astonished and confused. "Oh. Well that's fun." He spoke, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
A doctor entered the room, smiling at everyone. "Mr. Parker, I'm Doctor Strange, how are you feeling?" The man smiled.
Peter smiled back "I'm uh, just a little out of it, but other than that I'm okay, I think."
Strange nodded "good good. So here's what we're going to do. You got bit by a spider that no one knows anything about. We have treated you the best we can. Mr. Stark here has extensive medicinal knowledge, as well as the means to oversee you as we would here. So you can either stay here for a few days, or stay with Mr. Stark under his care."
Peter bit his lower lip "I'd like to stay with Tony, if that's alright."
Strange nodded again "of course. I'll make sure you both have my contact information should you need anything and I'll go work on the discharge paperwork now." He smiled and exited.
Peter looked to Tony "was that, was that the wizard guy?" He whispered.
Tony laughed a bit "yes, he likes to help others even in his free time."
Peter smiled "that's so cool."
MJ placed a hand on Peters shoulder "I don't wanna say I told you so...buuuttt." she smiled, not finishing her statement. "Rest up, pal. I'm glad to see you're okay." She smiled one last time before leaving.
Ned and Liz came up to the bedside as well. "You know I'm always here if you need something. I've got your shifts at the bakery so don't worry about that." Ned smiled. "Just get better, and whatever you do don't die, because I'll have to kill you." He laughed at his joke, making Peter smile and laugh a little as well.
Liz smiled and placed a kiss on his forehead "take care, I better see you in class soon." She warned, smiling and leaving with Ned.
Aunt May yawned a bit "I uh...I guess you're in good hands." She said, a tight smile spreading across her lips."God I can't baby you anymore." She whined a bit, drying her eyes. "I'll check up on you, dear. Call me often okay?" She smiled more and kissed his head as well. Peter nodded "of course Aunt May." He smiled.
"And you, you take care of my nephew." She pointef at Tony who nodded "if course, May. You know I will." May nodded, content. She took one last look at Peter, not wanting to leave, but knowing she had to, before she exited as well.
