Chapter 5 "Burning Desire"
(Zen’s POV)
I felt bad for stealing a car but I was doing it for the right reason. I could not see another dead body. I also wanted to know why they did not reborn in hell core. We had one and it had scanned our entire DNA. We were all supposed to be immortal. This was life changing in demon world because now no demon was safe. I reached the city and it was jam packed. I parked the car in an illegal spot and I ran off. In this city there were so many hideouts. The Red Dragon guild had the most amount of members. Most of them were weak but there were at least 20 demons that were well known. Anyone with the surname Zolskier had a big reputation and they were all in Red Dragon guild. I was happy to have left them. I walked my way through the crowd and I had made it to the hotel. I could see the staff looked down on me but I really did not care at all. I went into the lift and headed to the highest floor. When I reached the highest floor, I went to my aunt’s sweet room. I knocked on the door a couple times. It was annoying that there was no answer. I wanted to break the door but that would mean causing trouble. I sat down and waited for her and it was getting dark.
1 hour later…
I felt somebody tap my head and I woke up. I was finally pleased to see my aunt Sonora. She gave me hug and was glad I was back in town. She asked me what I needed. I told her the truth of what I really wanted from her. She did not seem happy after I explained my request but she was willing to do it. My aunt was well known as the dark flash. Her teleportation magic was amazing because she could teleport anywhere and she did it in lightning speed. She agreed to do it and so she teleported me to Zadak. She did not want to stay here because she was scared. She left and told me to find my own way back. I was definitely happy to comply with that because I was going to beat Lucifer very badly. It seemed different from Earth. This place was dark and very misty. I thought it would be good to sneak into the palace which was a kilometer away. If I could reach there then I would make some noise.
(Narrator)
Zen was about take on at least a hundred black angels. There were only around a thousand but they all lived far away from the castle of Lucifer. Zen decided to calm himself a bit and so he waited for a while for him to concentrate on his magic. In the realm of earth Layla and the rest were enjoying the hot spring.
(Layla’s POV)
It was really nice to know everyone’s name. There were no phones and it was just a nice conversation. Kat and Varys loved going clubbing and they hated chilling with the guys because they always fought. They also did not like working at night but they knew their responsibilities when they had become demons. I really thought Kat and Varys were very hot. I was like nowhere near the standards. If I was a guy I would be all over them. I was glad to talk with them because I felt like I had older sisters. The conversations about being a demon got boring and so the topic changed to boys. Ann and I were really shy to talk about boys. Kat then confronted me about sleeping with Zen on the bed naked. Ann and Varys were surprised. I rubbished any speculation. I told them that I was virgin and I was not interested in sex. Kat thought I was lame and she asked me if I ever had a boyfriend. I told them yes and he was from Japan. I described him and told him about his gangsta life. I broke up when he decided that he wanted to have more than one woman. Kat and Varys thought that it was decent of me to break up with a thug like him. I then asked if they were virgins too and they both laughed. I then realized by looking how good their bodies were and their faces even without make up that they were not virgins. Ann was a bit quiet in the conversation because I guessed she felt very unconfident of herself and she was very upset about Carlton. I still could not forgive that bear for being such a pervert. He was so freaking annoying the rude way he spoke and the unthoughtful things he did. I wondered why I agreed to a deal with him. Kat and Varys were getting bored and so they decided to leave. They looked even more amazing when they got out of that tub. I wished I had that kind of body but I did not want to attract creeps. From our conversation I learned that Kat was a free girl who loved to do crazy things. She always very active and she loved drinking and partying. Varys was a strong character who believed in her principles and was more responsible. She liked to have fun like Kat but she was more responsible. I was glad to have two new friends. I was also hoping to get along with the boys tonight. I planned on chilling with them in room 404. Ann was a bit down and she wanted to head home. I wanted to join her but she wanted to be alone. I decided to listen to her and let her have that alone time. We got out of the tub and headed to the hideout. Ann and I separated.
(Narrator)
Zen had his rest and had made inside the palace. He was going to free Sakana and he was going to beat Lucifer up. Zen was than spotted by Black Angels and they were going to attack Zen. Zen was prepared as his flames raged all over his body.
(Zen’s POV)
I was pumped up and I boiled in my flames. I ran at them and kicked them and punched them. I was beating the hell out of them. The next batch came and I requested to meet Lucifer and to have Sakana back. They did not respond so I blew fire out of my mouth. They were all hurt by the flames. I really found this very fun. I kept beating them down with a combo of flames and close combo attacks. I found it weird that there the Black Angels were so weak. I wondered to myself where the Zodiac 12 was. I got more pissed and my flames were boiling even hotter. I started to attack more vigorously. I headed to the higher floor and I kept on punching and kicking the Black Angels. The Black Angels realized that my devil fire slaying magic was to strong and so they stopped attacking me. I was really close to Lucifer’s chambers. Suddenly, a load of dead zombies appeared. I could not believe there were actually zombies. I really felt this day was the best to fight. I started beating the zombies up and it was even easier because they were so slow and fragile. I just had to make sure they did not bite me. I had taken out all the zombies within minutes. I was so happy that I had loads of opponents to beat up. I screamed out asking Lucifer for more of a challenge. Suddenly I heard the ground shaking and hell hounds had arrived. There were only ten of them and that was a bit too much for me. I ran in the opposite direction but they were faster than me. I decided to stop and punch one of them with my fist flames. It went crashing through the floor as the rest had gotten onto me and started biting my flesh. It was very painful and with the little power I had left I burned them all with my flames. They hated the fire and ran off. I could barely move…
(Ann’s POV)
I was a bit scared to walk alone and I felt like I was being followed. I turned around but I saw nobody. When I turned back I saw Kelantan. I was told about him back in the forest. I was a bit insecure that he followed me. Kelantan then told me to walk with him. I did as he said since he was a fellow member of my guild. He told me that he never liked clubbing and he preferred to just chill alone. I felt the same way. He took me to a park and we talked about our dislikes and likes I found out we had so much in common. The only thing I did not like about him was his scarf and beanie. He seemed very weird. He told me that Miss Reva had organized me to go to school tomorrow. I was very grateful and I cried a bit. It was joyful tears but then I realized it was late and I had to sleep. I gave Kelantan a hug and I ran home to get some sleep. I hoped that Layla would remember to come home.
(Layla’s POV)
I could not believe how crazy the boys were. Yuso and Victor played chess and Yuso won. Victor picked a fight with Yuso and then Pratause joins in. Daniel was asleep and he was woken up and so he fought too. Eventually Varys’ special cheesecake got destroyed and she joined in. Kat and I just watched the fight go on and on. It was midnight and Varys had won. I knew Miss Reva would stop this but she was marking some papers. I was dumbfounded to know I had school tomorrow and all these people had finished school. I raced home to get my sleep for school.
(Narrator)
Ann and Layla had forgotten that demons never needed sleep at all. Their bodies could function 24 hours a day. The Scarecrow guild was all done for the day but there were two other demons that were still in trouble. Zen had woken up to find himself handcuffed to Sakana. Sakana was shouting at him as he woke up.
(Sakana’s POV)
I was with a complete idiot. I was in jail and there was no way out. He woke up and I slapped him. He did not recognize me at first because of my new dyed pink hair and the glasses I wore. I lost my contacts and Lucifer was kind enough to give me glasses. Zen figured who I was after a while. He was angry and wanted to pick a fight with Lucifer but he had drained his magic and I only had wind reading magic. My magic gave me the abilities to read fast. It was pointless since it could not get us out of here. It was even worse that I was stuck with a blockhead. Why could it not be somebody smarter like Daniel or Yuso. Zen then sat down which dragged me down. I got pissed and tried to slap him again but he caught my hand. Zen said that there was a fire torch right in front of us. He admitted he was injured and needed to rest a bit then he would suck the fire and suck the other torches so we could get out here. I was surprised by his thinking skills. He really had shown maturity and leadership and I was so proud of him. I waited with him and in my heart I was truly grateful to have a friend like him. I was in so much terror to see my friends killed in front of me and I was grateful I was spared from death. I wondered if there was a God who was out there. Zen was done resting and he sucked the flames. While he did that, the floor disappeared and we fell into a hard concrete floor. I hurt myself and so did Zen. We were in the throne room. I saw Lucifer sitting in his throne seat laughing at us. I bowed down to him and begged for forgiveness but Zen got up and called him a bastard. I knew we were done for. Lucifer said he would let us leave and I was so glad to hear it. He threw a knife to cut the chains. I was even happier to be free but three people came. One was a woman and the other two were men. One of them was dressed like a musketeer and he had the most beautiful long hair. The lady had a diamond dress on and she looked a bit mixed of Asian and American. The last guy was a red head who dressed quite similar to Zen. He had 4 earrings on each ear. Lucifer introduced to them and their names were Bantora, Marvel and Herico. Zen did not care as he ran with flames in his right hand as Bantora said he would memorize it. He did and copied the exact same magic. Marvel caused an explosion out of nowhere at Zen’s back. Zen went flying into a wall. He was pissed off as I felt his pain of not being able to do anything. His jacket was ripped and he could barely stand. Herico laughed and had a poison ball in his hand. He said he was the poison devil slayer. He threw that ball at Zen, Zen could not dodge it and so the poison hit him causing him to feel very weak and ill. I could see part of his skin being purple. Lucifer, out of nowhere, gave him a sucker punch and he was done for. I was very scared and was in tears. I could not believe somebody like Zen was beaten up so badly. He laid covered in poison and his own blood. Lucifer opened a portal to earth and threw him in. Lucifer threw his body in. I rushed also and got through the portal. We were in a desert and Zen was badly hurt. He needed a healing potion or he needed to see a doctor. I wondered where we were and how we could last in a desert at night. I had school in a couple of hours but that did not matter.
(Narrator)
Zen and Sakana were in America but were in a desert in Texas. They were far off from where they lived and Zen was a key part in the white horse game. The important question was how they were going home. Sakana stayed with Zen all night until a car with a bunch of party girls came in. They were kind enough to let Zen and Sakana join in. They were in a van so there was space for Zen to sleep on his back. These party girls were actually heading to Zam high school to meet a drug dealer that sold a famous new drug which would give them the best time of their life. Sakana and Zen were very lucky to make it out of Zadak alive.
