From the depths of hell they came
Faceless beings able to worm inside
The place of love and warmth
Just to suck it bloodlessly dry
Most who fall victim to this species of neglect
Are often those who want to willingly love
Showing more for others than themselves
They eventually collapse on the inside
Empty of the heart and will for their soul
Why do these pure and noble souls
Feed the monstrosity known as neglect?
Letting them fester, grow into something worse
Consuming it’s host painfully slow…greedily
Why do they willingly place themselves
In such a burning hell that could kill them?
I have yet to answer my own behavior.
