Alex and Kara aren't sisters. This is basically elementary, Kara is an ex surgeon but quit when a patient died during surgery, And became A sober buddy, Lena after loosing someone she fell into drugs, now sober, After a year they became business partners, Lena is training Kara to be a detective)
Lena stormed into the girls joint apartment;
"Ok I need a case now"
Kara set down her book "You solved one this morning, There are plenty of old ones, look In your box of unsolved cases"
Lena took of her coat "I'll look into them later"
"well then I got nothing" Kara shrugged
Lena went into the kitchen, she opened her mouth to speak but her phone cut her off
After short conversation over the phone, Lena picked up her coat and headed for the door saying "Zor-el we have a case"
Time skip to victim house
"Thanks for coming" Captain Danvers says as the consulting Detectives approached the door of the house where the murder was committed.
The detective leads the girls in.
"Who is the victim" Lena says looking down at the body
The captain opens up her note book and reads out "Mike Daxam, 34, From what we can tell it was a break in gone wrong, the safe was broken into, time of death around 11pm last night"
The Kara stands back, Her mouth agape with the information
"Zor-el what's wrong" Lena questions
"He was my ex" she explains
"Well then that makes you a suspect I'm sorry Kara" Captain Danvers says
"It's ok whatever helps" Kara shrugs
"No, she isn't a suspect, She was with me last night, and anyway your looking for a trained killer and they didn't break in" Lena says suddenly getting worked up
"What makes you say that" The Alex asks
"Our victim here was the one who broke in, Look at his hands, there are cuts caused by the broken glass. No witnesses in a busy area, no evidence anywhere, only lead you Have is what was in that safe, so if you bothered to notice" Lena snapped
Kara leaned over the body and checked the eyes "Actually Lena you missed something"
"Excuse me" The green eyed woman turned around.
"Sorry, But this man was poisoned"
Alex looked confused "Why shoot him then"
"Led poisoning, he was poisoned ages ago, Probably in small amounts, But the shooter didn't know that, so we have two killers" Kara explains her deduction.
"Well Zor-el I see you read my essay on poison" Lena said puffing her chest out slightly in pride
Alex rolled her eyes
"is Detective Arias ok?" Kara asked
"I noticed she isn't here"
"Yeah she is fine. it's her day off" Alex says
"Well we need someone Who can notice something" Lena muttered
"Ms Luthor do I have to remind that I'm your Superior"
"You can certainl-" Lena starts
Kara quickly elbowed Lena in the arm earning a grunt "What Lena means to say is no, And we will be on our way, Please send us the Forensic report, thank you"
Lena opened her mouth to argue but she was pulled out by the Blonde
"What happened in there, I become a suspect and you loose it"
"Look Zor-el you don't get it, but I can't loose you"
"It's ok, I would hug you but I know
You don't like that"
Lena nods at the thought
They both get into the car and drive back to their apartment.
"Ok so he was being poisoned, any ideas on who the the is suspect" asks Kara
"His mother, obviously, Pictures, she looked angry, And I know that because her mother knows mine and They have tried to set us up for marriage" Explains the brunette.
"Well it seem we both have had romantic interests with him, so you knew she was threatening him,...to marry you, Gosh that's weird"
"I shared with her my opinions on Marriage" Lena offers a cup of coffee to Kara who graciously excepts
"I know them, Anyway So we think we know who was poisoning him, who would shoot him for whatever was in that safe"
"It's A key" She says casually
"How do you know that" asks Kara
"One time when we were having sex-"
Kara chokes on her drink "I don't need to know"
"I have told you before, Sex stimulates my brain, I don't use it as a pleasure"
Kara shakes her head .
"Although I find it More stimulating with women thought" Lena continues
Kara stands up, her cheeks heating up "Ok that's enough, I'm going to go see if captain Danvers sent the forensic file"
"You won't find anything" Lena calls after her
as she walk towards the stairs
"Ok, fine I won't bother, Lets go get his mother"
Time skip (at the house)
The blond lifted her hand to knock and gently tapped three time.
Standing down from the top step she fiddle with her fingers
"Why are you nervous" Lena asks
"Mrs. Daxam hates me"
Lena shrugged "She'll be happy to see me"
Kara opened her mouth to respond but she is disturbed by the door
"Lena my darling, I see you have finally come to your senses, Oh....Ms Zor-el, Come in"
The girls walked in
"Sorry Mrs. Daxam I'm still not marring your son, He is dead" Lena says, Lacking empathy
The mother sat down
Kara nudged Lena "You have our condolences" Kara said
Lena walked over and stuck her finger at Mrs. Daxam
"We know you were poisoning him"
Kara pulled the brunette away "But that's not what killed him, A gun shot wound to the head, We happened to notice the effects of the led"
The mother sighed "Fine I was, But I had no intention of killing him"
"Was your son in any suspicious activity" Kara asks
Lena started to wander around "Mrs. Daxam did you know your son was a Drug Dealer, Never used it himself"
"What my Mike would never, how dare you accuse him of that"
"Well he supplied me with my drugs, I'm sober now thanks to Ms. Zor-el"
Kara held her smile back "So Anything else you can help us with, If you do I'm sure the DA will be able to reduce your sentence"
"Are you going to arrest me?" The woman stood up
"Us no, But Captain Danvers will"
The captain walks into the house
"Rhea Daxam your under arrest for the wilful poisoning of your Son Mike Daxam, Anything you say, can be and will be used against you in court"
The Comander cuffs the older women and takes her away
"You never told he was your dealer" Kara says, her voice full of concern
"My mistakes Zor-el, It's in the past, And I have figured out who the killer is"
"What that quickly?"
"His mother hired a killer"
"Now How did you figure that own out" Kara pondered
"The notes on her table, there should be plenty of evidence in this house to lock her up, It's elementary my dear Zor-el"
