I woke up to my phone buzzing.
I grabbed it off the nightstand seeing Marley text me.
Bestie: I hope you get well girl, and don't forget to tell me about the date 😊.
Boss: I'm so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon darling.
I was sick?
I read through my messages seeing that someone hint:rock was pretending to be me sick.
I shook my head.
Since I was "sick" I guess I'll be staying in today.
After taking a shower I look through Rock drawer seeing one of his work shirt.
I needed to do laundry and didn't have anything to lounge in.
Surprisingly his shirt fitted me perfectly stopping at mid thigh.
Speaking of the devil I heard a door close.
I walked in the living room seeing he was just coming through the front door.
" morning beautiful" he said smiling.
" morning handsome"
He came right up to me kissing my lips.
I swear I could get use to that coming from him.
" I got breakfast , you hungry" he asked
" yes very, thank you"
" no problem"
He laid the food out on the counter while I got plates for us.
I did realize one thing, he needs to go shopping. He lacks silverware and other dishes. Half of things we use are my stuff.
Not that's it's a problem at all.
" so you had work today"
" Nawl but it was an emergency and I was there to the rescue" he said lifting his arm"
" you are so silly" I said laughing at him.
" but something came up while I was their" he said staring at me as he ate his eggs.
" what happen"
" I took the offer"
" oh my God really !" I said getting excited.
" yes I figure it was time for me to take big steps"
" that's great I'm really happy for you"

" sooo what are you going to do all day" I asked.
" spend it with you"
" I'm pretty sure since I called in sick" I said rasing my eyebrow.
" oh dang foreal, we gone have to get you some medicine" he said smirking.
" Rock don't play with me I know you sent those messages out"
" well it worked didn't it ?"
" yep unfortunately it did" I said smirking.
" well good hopefully you can give me a recap of what took place last night"
I watch as he removed himself from his seat walking to me picking me up.
" Rock I'm eating" I said as he carry me to the couch where he laid me down getting between my legs.
" you can finish that later" he said hiking up his work shirt off of me.

We was now in the car heading to her apartment since she ran out of clean clothes.
As of right now she was in one of my tank tops and gray sweats that were too big.
Meanwhile she was singing my ear off.
" FEEEEEELINGSSSS ... SO DEEP IN MY FEEEELINGS"
I shook my head at the particular song.
She sings it everyday not missing a beat.
" oooooo no I can never get over youuuu"
I turn the nob down.
" yo can she at least sang the damn song"
I was too busy focusing on the road but I know she was staring at me.
You know how you can feel it without seeing it.
" boyyyy" Nia said.
And turn it back up.
Thank God we was pulling up at her complex.
The blue lights and man in uniform alerted us that something was wrong.
Along with the caution tape at her door.
" what the heck" she said worried.
She got out quickly rushing out my car up to her door but a policeman stop her.
I got out the car to see what was going on.
" sir I live here what is going on" she said frantically.
The look on the policeman face said it all.
" ma'am a woman was killed here"
" WHAT .... WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT" Nia said rasising her voice.
I stood right behind her.
Soon as the the man was about to speak someone else did.
" where is my daughter"
On the left side of me was older couple that was coming up to us.
Nia turn to her side recognizing them.
" Mrs. Smith"
The lady saw her and eyes went wide.
They both engulf each other in a hug before separating.
The officer cleared his throat.
" Excuse me ma'am are yall Ashyln and Donavan Smith"
The both nodded there heads.
" you might wanna come in"
Me and Nia both stepped back.
" it's gone be ok" I said pulling her into my arms as she cried.
" NOOOOOOOO THATSSSS MY BABY"
The loud screams said it all.
The woman came out along with the man who were crying.
This shit is crazy.
" who would do that to my baby !!!"
She cried in the man arms.
By than a small crowd was looking from across the street to see what was going on.
The same policeman walked up to us.
" ma'am what is your name"
" N-Nia Bowesman"
I watch he wrote it down in his notepad.
" ok Ms. Bowesman this will be an opening investigation and we want to know who did this to Miss Smith."
" okay" she said wiping her eyes.
" a detective from downtown will be calling you soon .... probably in the next couple of days"
" okay but when will I be able to get my things"
" soon as we take the body out, you can stick around in the meantime and wait or you can just come back" he said
Nia nodded her head.
" I-I think I'll go"
" alright ma'am"
He walked over talking to the parents as they were continue to take it hard that their daughter was dead.
" you ready to go" I asked
" yyea"
I grabbed her hand walking her to the car.
We were both quiet taking the news in.
Once we got home Nia went straight to bed.
I figure I'll just call Kane and Dub over.

" everything good , you look sad as hell" Dub said.
" just a lot going on with my girl"

Of course leaving some things out.
" some shit went down at her apartment"
" what happen?" Kane asked.
" her roommate was killed, we pull up to the scene and cops were everywhere"
" damn I hope it ain't that crazy nigga that you told us about" Dub said frowning up.
Both of them was ready to kill'em after I told them what he did to her.
" Mann ion even know" I said rubbing my hand down my face.
" I haven't even thought of that man"
" well if I was you I just watch y'all surroundings"

I could definitely agree with him on that one.
