Christmas

Today was Christmas Eve; Patton was bouncing off the walls and making piles of cookies, Logan was helping Patton with baking, Roman was making sure all of the decorations were perfect, and Virgil and Rem were preparing hot coco for all of them, along with some popcorn, so they could have their movie marathon.

They were all in their pajamas. Patton had his cat onesie, that matched Logan's unicorn one, with the stupid tie still on it. Roman wore a shirt with the word "Prince" on it in cursive, along with some pajama pants. Virgil had a purple, long-sleeved shirt and some black fluffy pants. Rem had a pink sweater with the words "Yasss Girl" on it, and some pale pink sweatpants, he even traded out his usual sunglasses for ones with a pink tint.

Once the cookies were in the out of the oven, and on a plate, along with the other snacks, they all got onto the couch and began their lazy Christmas Eve.

At least they would have if Virgil and Roman weren't fighting over the movie they should watch.

"Nightmare Before Christmas is the best Christmas movie, by far! It has Christmas and Halloween together!" The emo shouted.

"But Rudolph is a classic!" Roman held up the DVD for the prized classic.

"Now, kiddos-" Patton tried to scold, only to be cut off by a glare from both of the others, before they continued their bickering.

This went on for a minute, before Logan cut in, standing up, clapping his hands to get their attention. "Students! Let's take a vote. It's the only fair way to do this."

"Then Virgil's going to win!"

"Princey's going to win!"

"Why would I win? Three out of five of the people here love those movies, despite Nightmare Before Christmas being a million times better." Virgil complained.

"Guilty as charged." Rem raised his hand. He was a sucker for clichéd shows.

"Everyone here is your soulmate! They're bias!" Roman pointed to all of the people on the couch.

"Calm down, you two. I have met kids more mature." Logan rolled his eyes.

"You're face is more mature!" Roman shouted.

A second of silence passed over them, before Patton and Rem started to laugh.

"Didn't think that through, did you Princey?" Virgil chuckled.

"No." Roman sighed, running his hand over his face.

"Alright, to be fair. Rock, paper, scissors?" Virgil raised a brow.

"Sure." Roman rolled his eyes, pressing his hand into a fist on top of his other, Virgil doing the same. "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!"

Virgil won with paper. Roman groaned, before going to sit down on the couch, dramatically falling across everyone's laps.

"Aww, Ro, I'm sorry that you lost, but you can't blame yourself, you were stuck between a rock and a hard place." Patton laughed, waiting for the others to get it.

"And he's making Rock, Paper, Scissors puns now." Logan sighed, pushing his glasses up.

"I thought it was punny." The smallest giggled.

Once Virgil started up the movie, Roman got up, and let the emo sit down next to Logan and Rem. Patton was next to Logan, and Roman was next to Patton.

The prince and emo sang with all of the songs, with Patton shouting out the words he knew. Logan would comment on how disturbing some points actually were, like when the kids sang. While Rem would provide sarcastic and dramatic commentary.

The movies came and went, until Rem had managed to fall asleep on Virgil, so Roman had to get up to change the movies. Then Roman fell asleep, leaving the job to Logan. Virgil ended up resting his eyes for to long and falling into a deep slumber. Leaving just Logan and Patton, watching the live action Grinch.

"Hey, Lo?" Patton asked in a whisper, as to not wake the others.

"Yes, Pat?"

"I wanted to ask you if you- you are okay, emotionally. I just want to know you're okay after Roman." Patton claimed.

Patton said it so the bond didn't force Logan to respond, which was very sweet, but it made Logan have to think about his response, which was not ideal.

"I am okay. Roman didn't break me emotionally. It was a crush that I believe I have gotten over. I may fantasize about him sometimes, but I don't see him as I do you and Virgil, anymore. I am completely fine." Logan explained. And it was true. It had to be true if he was telling it to Patton.

"Good. I'm glad you're okay." Patton whispered, laying his head on Logan's shoulder. He was out like a light. The movie eventually ended, with everyone curled up on the couch. And everything was peaceful for about eight hours, until Patton woke up.

"Christmas!" He shouted, standing up, making Logan jump back, his glasses lopsided now. Everyone, except Rem, had flinched back in a similar manner. Rem was still deep asleep. "We have to open presents now!" Patton nearly flung himself at the tree. Virgil shook Rem into mild consciousness, pressing a cup of coffee into the strawberry blonde's hands.

Virgil called someone, but Patton was too busy focusing on other things to even notice.

Eventually, Patton had moved all of the presents into groups, each for the person receiving the gift. Patton had the camera recording, and on Logan.

"Me first? Alright. Who's should I start off with? Color coded? By size? Alphabetical?" Logan mumbled to himself.

"Don't do any of that, and just grab the nearest one!" Virgil yelled from across the room.

So, Logan did, opening Roman's, which was a set of six jars of Crofters. Rem got him a book. Then Virgil's was a new puzzle.

"Well, that face is just precious." Rem cooed at Logan's stary eyes.

"Shut up." Logan scolded, going to open Patton's.

"No!" Patton shouted. "I want you all to open those at the same time!"

"Fine, Pat." Logan rolled his eyes, curiosity seeping out.

Logan got Roman a new sash and a cape. Virgil got him more Disney movies. And Rem got Roman a crown shaped pillow. Roman was smiling as wide as he could.

"Remy's turn!" Patton shouted.

The coffee lover got a bag of coffee from Logan, with a note that warned him not to drink too much, a hand bag from Roman, and a travel mug from Virgil.

Then all eyes were focused on Virgil, and his anxiety decided to kick in for a second. What if he opens them wrong? What if he breaks them? What if he doesn't like his presents? What if all this worrying is just making him look more awkward?

He swallowed down that bitter emotion and opened the bag that Roman gave him. A make-up kit was inside, along with a note that called Virgil out for his fail at eye shadow. Rem had given him the newest Panic! album. And Logan had gotten him a black hoodie with "black is my happy color" written on it. Virgil chuckled as the camera was passed off to him, so that Patton could open his gifts.

Patton opened Logan's to find a bunch of socks, just a box filled with brightly colored, fluff socks. Which was amazing in Patton's eyes. Rem gave Virgil a raised eyebrow, along with his mouth being slightly ajar, but the emo just shook his head with an amused laugh.

Then Patton opened Roman's to find a cat plushy, to go with his collection. And Rem had gotten him a bunch of bracelets with attachable animals charms. And Virgil, had gotten him a note.

It read: "You'll understand in a minute, when the doorbell rings. Just wait."

"Okay?" Patton furrowed his brows before smiling again. "Here, Verge, give me the camera. You all have to open my Pat-zents now... Well, That pun did not work."

They all moved so they were in shot of the camera, all in different states of confusion.

"Okay, open them!" Patton cheered, smile wide.

Prince was the first to get his open, and he gasped so loud the neighbors probably thought someone just died. In the box was a red notebook with a bunch of cartoonishly drawn musical posters glued to the front, with cardboard in between to make them stick out. Next to the notebook was a mason jar with what looked to be fairies on the outside, along with lights on the inside so that when it lit up, it would appear that fairies were on the walls. And there was a tiny felted plush of Roman. The color of Roman's face resembled the notebook.

Logan's eyes went wide. A blue notebook with a silhouette of Sherlock was placed in the middle, next to it a jar filled that contained a terrarium. The terrarium contained fake flowers, some trees, and toy deer. And On the other side of the box was a mini Logan, felted.

Virgil got a purple notebook with various emo lyrics written on it. Next to that was a mason jar turned into a snow globe, that held all of them. Roman, Patton, Logan, Virgil, and Rem, all holding hands, in clay form. They were very simplified, yes, but you could tell who they were. And of course, there was a little Virgil in there too.

And finally, Rem had opened his box to find a pink notebook, absolutely covered in mean girls quotes. Along with some childish drawings of coffee cups. There was also a mason jar filled with origami stars, varying between pink, black, and white. And there was a small Remy in there too.

Roman tackled Patton into a tight hug, turning off the camera, and putting it away. Roman returned to hugging his boyfriend, both giggling like little girls.

Suddenly, the doorbell went off. Logan got up to get it, Virgil trailing behind. At the door, was Elliot, with a dog in his arms. Patton stood up, eyes wide, smile even wider.

Elliot was let in, along with the dog they were carrying. Patton was bouncing up and down, as the dog was put into his arms. He settled down as the young pomerainian cuddled into him, eventually sitting down. Patton was cooing at the dog, mumbling about how cute it was, discovering the tag she had revealed her name to be "Sassy".

"Thanks, Ell. Do you want to stay? We're just sitting around today and I know your family- yeah." Virgil rubbed the back of his neck, offering a shy grin.

"Don't worry about it. I actually- I have a date." Elliot explained.

"Not your soulmate?"

"Nah, I don't think I'm gonna find them. Plus, it's just a date."

"Alright. If they hurt you, come to me. I will f*ck them up." Virgil claimed.

"I don't the he's like that, but okay. I will." Elliot smiled reassuringly, going to leave. "See you at work on Monday?"

"Yeah, Monday." Virgil nodded, watching as Elliot left.

"So, do we get the puppy for the rest of the day?" Patton asked, the pup in his hands.

"No..." Virgil teased him.

"Half the day?"

"Nope."

"Two days?"

"No."

"Verge, how long can I cuddle this fluff ball? I need to know! I don't want to part with Sassy."

"Well, you don't have to. We own her." Virgil watched as Patton's face absolutely lit up, eyes stary and teary.

"We have a dog!" Patton shouted, causing Sassy to flinch back. Patton mumbled an apology to the dog, before saying much quieter. "We got a puppers."

"Yes, we have all agreed to get a dog. We have the space for it, and the items necessary." Logan confirmed, gesturing to the garage, which probably held the items that he was talking about.

"Best. Christmas. Ever." Patton giggled, going back to sit on the couch, next to Rem, so they could both play with Sassy. "Now, I just have to eat all of the candy I got."

"Let's not eat all of it." Virgil laughed.

"But- candy..." Patton whined.

"You're amazing, Sugar." Remy laughed, hand running through fluff.

"You're amazing too." Patton claimed, earning no response, though Rem was still smiling like he was before. Still happy. Still safe. But Patton wanted to make that smile bigger. "Remazing, to be clear."

And Remy snorted, actually snorted. And wow, was he pretty. And Patton really wanted to kiss him. So, f*ck it. They liked eachother. Patton wasn't dumb. He could tell Remy liked him, and Patton loved everything, including the coffee dork, so f*ck it.

Patton jumped up to press his lips to Rem's. Quick and sweet, a puppy snuggled into Patton's lap. Dorky smiles across everyone's faces.

Roman joined the two in the couch, and then Logan and Virgil. All getting a turn to play with the happy puppy. Joy in every single one of them.

And that's how their life would stay for a long time. Smiles and happiness. And it never really stopped. They were happy a lot of the time, and even when they weren't, they had eachother to bring them up. They were never alone.

They were happy.

Bonus:

Deceit had opened his door to find a box, that appeared to be a gift from his brother, Patton. He unwrapped it to find a yellow notebook, with top hats pasted on it, sticking out using cardboard. A jar filled with different sweets was next to it. The jar had snakes drawn on the sides, along with a note hanging off of it that read, "for my sweet toothed bro. Don't rot those fangs though." And the last thing in the box was a plush snake.

"Dork." Dee chuckled, glad he had given his brother a present, which was just a box filled with candy. He prayed the others didn't call him while all hell broke loose, as Patton got on a sugar high.
