i walk into baskin robbins with steve and bucky, all of us craving a sweet treat
when it's our turn, i smile widely
"hey scott"
he smiles "hey cutie. how are you?"
"i'm good. how about you?"
"can't complain. although this job sucks"
i giggle
steve, bucky, and i place our order before stepping to the side and waiting for it
when they're ready, scott walks around the counter to hand them to us
steve gives him a confused look when scott also hands my order to him, but shrugs it off
scott picks me up in a bear hug, twirling me around, both of us laughing our asses off
he puts me back on the ground, placing a kiss to my cheek before walking back behind the counter, a big grin on his face
i take my treat from steve before walking with him to where bucky sat at a table
his metal hand in a fist as he stares down at his ice cream
i sit next to him as steve sits in front of him
"did you get a brain freeze?" i ask, a smile tugging at my lips
he shakes his head
i frown "do you not like it?"
"i haven't ate any yet" he mutters
"oh" i say, taking a bite of mine
"who was that guy?" bucky asks
"you mean scott?"
he nods
"he's my friend"
"didn't seem like it"
i frown, looking at steve for help
searching for an answer as to why bucky is suddenly mad
"buck, he's just a friend of y/n. no need to get mad" steve says
"friends don't normally get all handsy like that"
"i haven't seen him in a while" i defend
"still"
"when you come back from missions, i hug you like that" i say
his cheeks heat up
i smile, kissing his cheek "eat your ice cream before it fully melts"
he takes a bite and his eyes widen
"good?" i ask
he nods, going in for another bite
i giggle
he shovels the ice cream into his mouth at a rapid pace
i cringe "you might want to slow down buck, before you get a-"
he drops his spoon, placing his hands on his temples "ow, ow, ow"
"a brain freeze" i finish, holding back a laugh "put your tongue on the roof of your mouth"
he does and after a few seconds, he goes back to eating at a slower pace
i giggle at him

"y/n" friday says "mr. stark wants you in his lab"
"thank you friday"
i get up and walk to his lab, wondering what he could possibly want
my eyes widen when i see scott
his eyes widen when he sees me
"woah, you're part of the avengers?"
i nod "what are you doing here?"
he smiles "i'm ant man"
"no way" i scream
he nods, laughing
i pull him into a hug before focusing my attention on tony
"you two know each other?" tony asks with a smirk
i nod "we're very good friends"
"god, i wish i could see the look on barnes's face when he sees you-" sam is cut off by bruce, shooing him away
i shrug, choosing to ignore his statement
"i called you in here to see if you could show scott around the tower" tony says
i smile "sure thing"
i take scott's hand and pull him along, showing him every room
i knock on steve's door
he opens it with a smile
"hey y/n and scott" he says
"hey cap, so apparently scott is ant man"
his eyebrows shoot up in surprise "really? that's cool"
"not as cool as captain america" scott fires back with a giant smile
i giggle, pulling him to the next room
i knock and bucky opens it shortly after
he smiles when he sees me, but frowns when he sees scott
"what's he doing here?" bucky asks in a monotone voice
"be nice" i scold "scott is ant man"
bucky smirks "so i can squash you under my foot when you shrink?"
i start to say something, but scott beats me to it "you could if you can catch me"
i playfully roll my eyes before leading him downstairs
i let go of his hand, as the tour has been completed
i pour myself a glass of water before setting it on the counter
i go to grab something from the cupboards, but feel two warm arms wrap around my waist
i turn around to see sam
"hey sexy" he says with a smirk
i laugh "hey sam"
"so i was thinking that we could go out tonight"
"like a date?"
"mhm"
i shake my head "not gonna happen, bird boy"
he playfully scoffs at the nickname
i pull out of his arms, sitting at the table, next to scott
"the falcon just hit on you and you said no?" he asks, shocked
i giggle "he always hits on me. plus, i have my eye set on someone else"
he smirks "captain america?"
i shake my head
"oh i know it's-" i place my hand over his mouth
he licks my hand making me shriek in surprise
"ew" i say, wiping my now wet hand on his shirt
he laughs "so i was right"
my cheeks turn pink as i was about to say yes, a voice cuts me off
"what were you right about?" a deep voice asks
i look up and see bucky intimidatingly glaring at scott
but scott doesn't seemed fazed
"about who she likes" he answers simply
"please tell me it isn't you" bucky groans
scott laughs "of course not. it's-"
i slap my hand over his mouth again
and of course, he licks my hand
i pull it away, wiping it on his shirt again
"did you not learn the first time?" he asks, laughing
"did you not learn the first time?"
he playfully rolls his eyes in response
"who do you like, y/n?" bucky asks, staring at me intensely
i blush, looking down at my hands
"someone way out of my league" i say
"bucky, why do you look like you're about to kill scott?" steve asks, walking over to us
"because he knows who y/n likes and he's annoying" bucky states
"you have a crush and you didn't tell me?" steve asks, playfully acting hurt
i roll my eyes at him "if i told you, you would freak out. plus, like i told bucky, he's way out of my league"
steve puts a finger on his chin, thinking "it's not scott and it's not sam"
he pauses "it's not tony. he could be out of your league as in smart wise or skilled wise"
"it's not clint. it's not thor. so that leaves either bruce or bucky" he says, looking at me with certainty
i nod, blushing wildly
"so it's between me or bruce?" bucky asks
i nod, smiling shyly
"and the guy is out of your league so it's obviously bruce" bucky says with a frown on his face
"you're wrong" i say in a small voice
steve's face lights up as bucky stares at me, shocked
"me? but i'm not out of your league" he says
"yes you are. you are so out of my league it isn't even funny. you're strong and handsome. you're a good guy and you fight for the ones you love without a second thought"
"no you're-" he pauses to look at scott and steve before looking back at me "do you want to take this somewhere more private?"
i nod, walking over to him and letting him lead me wherever
he sits on his bed as i stand in front of him
his head in his hands as he stares at the ground
"i've had a major crush on you for a while and now that the time has come, i realize that i'm not good for you"
"you are good-"
"no, i'm not good period. sure, i saved steve, but that was after i tried to kill him"
"that wasn't you" i whisper
"it was a part of me and i still did it"
i kneel on the floor, inches from him
i run my fingers through his hair, loving the feeling
"bucky, i know your past and i know what you've been though, but that doesn't change how i feel about you. if anything, it makes me want to be with you more"
he looks up at me, his deep blue eyes staring into mine "that's the craziest thing i've ever heard"
i smile, tucking his hair behind his ears, resting a hand on his face "i want to show you what it's like to be loved. what it's like to have someone care for you in a way steve can't. to smother you in kisses. to cuddle you at all times. to help you through your nightmares. and i would never be doing it because i have to. i would be doing it because i want to. because i've been wanting to ever since i saw you"
in a flash, his lips are on mine
i instantly kiss back, one of my hands staying on his face as the other rests on his thigh
both his hands on my face as he continues to kiss me with so much passion
as the kiss heats up, i stand up, not breaking it as i then straddle his waist
a few minutes later, we pull away, out of breath and slightly light headed
he rests his forehead on mine, trying to catch his breath
i do the same
"you just made me fall for you more, if that's even possible, with those words and that kiss"
i giggle, pecking his lips
he smiles "i could never get tired of this"
i smile, kissing his cheek "then make it official"
he leans his head off of mine, looking deep into my eyes
"y/n, will you be my girl?"
"i would love to"
he seals the deal with a sweet kiss
