i need to talk to someone, but i don't have a clue who. there's jordan, but he's doing something with his girlfriend, i can't distract him with my issues. camila is already out of the picture. cole has a date with lili, so those two are a no. the only people left are charles and kj.
hmmm
wait, Michael. i can talk to Michael about this. it's been a while since we last caught up.
i decided that i should call him and ask him out
"hey vanessa! it's been a while. felt like you forgot all about me"
"i couldn't even if i tried mike! how have you been?"
"doing better, it's getting easier every day"
"that's good. remember if you need anything mike im here"
"thank you vanessa, your so generous"
"anything for a friend"
about 5 months ago michael's dad died. Michael was super close to him. It's been rough for him ever since
"so what you call me for?"
"oh yeah, i was wondering if we could meet up somewhere and talk. i have some stuff on my chest that i really want to let out"
"sure, I'd do anything for you vanessa. where do you wanna go?"
"i was thinking we could do lunch somewhere"
he huffed "shoot"
"what's wrong?" i questioned
"i have a flight at 3, it's 11 now-"
"oh. you don't have to come then it's-"
"no no I'm coming. actually i have better idea. I'll get veggie grill to go and we can have a picnic at your place"
i smiled "that sounds great"
i could sense him smiling to through the phone
"great, see you soon"
"see ya mike"
he laughed then hung up phone

"i have a salad for you, and a tofu catfish sandwich for me"
i took the salad out of the basket and set it down on the blanket i laid out in front of my window so it could feel like we were outside
"thank you mike"
"anytime vanessa"
he sat down across from me and began to unwrap his sandwich
"so, what did you want to talk about"
"it's a long story"
"well i want to hear it, every last bit of it. i have time"
"you don't really have time, mike"
"for you vanessa, i do"

"-and now im confused on what to do and how to feel"
"wow, that's a lot"
i pouted "yeah i know"
"i think what you need is a break"
"a break?"
he nodded, and took a bite of his sandwich
"yeah, some time to just relax. to forget about your feelings and your issue with madelaine" he paused for a second
"how about you come to New York with me"
"what?"
"you heard me, come up to New York with me. we could go see a show, go shopping. Maybe even catch a baseball game" He winked at his joke
"it all sounds so nice, but im so busy"
"it's ok, you can take a couple days off"
i began to poke my salad "i don't know mike"
"come on nessa!! please"
"mikeeee" i pouted
"you said you would do anything for me" he folded his arms and frowned like a little kid, which was cute and funny at the same time
i laughed "your right"
"so, is that a yes?"
"yes, I'll come with you to New York"
"Whoooo hoooo!! Pack your bags!"
i smiled as i took a bite of my salad
he's right, a break is exactly what i need
New York here i come
