" You need some more water baby" my mother asked.
Her and my father flew in the same day from Georgia to Michigan.
Now that they are here I realized how much I really missed them.
" no I'm fine" I said shaking my head a little.
" where do this nigga live at so I can beat his ass" my father said furious.
" Nathan chill before you be back in jail" My mom said shaking her head.
When my dad saw me he literally broke down crying. Out of all my years I have never seen him cry which really broke me.
After a while In came Marley. Once she saw me she had that same pity look on her face.
But It wasn't her fault.
" hey y'all" she said to my parents.
They gave her a small smile.
" these are for you, they came from my brother"
I looked at the yellow roses. That was so sweet of him.
" awwwl he didn't have to"
" I know but he feels that it's his fault for introducing you to him" She said sadly.
" um sweetie me and your father are going to get something to eat you want anything" my mom said standing to her feet along with my dad.
" no I'm fine mom"
I watch them both walk out.
" girl if your mama wasn't with your daddyyyy" Marley said
I laughed at her.
" that's nasty" I said making a face.
" I'm just saying, but anything new"
I shook my head.
" no same ole same ole" I said looking at my fingers.
The doctors told me that my uterus was perforated and that I will need surgery.
Also that it's a possibility that I want be able to carry a baby it's full term. That was some heart breaking news that Im still not able to take in.

" Marley it's not your fault, this is all me" I said to her.
" No it's not. A man should never put his hands I wish you could of told me about this, I could of told my baby daddy about this so he could kick his ass you know he crazy"
" now you are starting to sound like my dad"

I was laughing at her when a knock came to the door.
I told the person behind it to come in.
It was Rock.
He was dress down in some grey joggers and a Nike shirt.
Simple clothes still made him look so handsome.
" hey" I said softly. I sure didn't want him to see me like this.
I could barley see out my left eye, both of my cheeks where purple-bluish, and busted lip that was slowly healing.
I also had cast on my arm since it was fractured.
Ashton really did try to kill me last night because He thought I was cheating on him.
It stayed quiet until Marley spoke up.
" I think I'll leave" Marley said quickly getting up.
I looked at her funny.
" you just got here"
" um something came up, but get well hun, I'll be back tomorrow to check on you" she said.
It was late at night.
Marley said a quick hi to Rock before disappearing behind the door.
" that's ya friend" he said pointing out the door.
" yea that was Marley"
His mouth formed an "o"
" um you can take a seat ... if you want"
"thanks"
It stay quiet between us for less than two mintues. I didn't know what to say to him since I was the one that initiated we should stop talking.
" so he did all this to you" Rock said frowning up.
" yea" I said looking down feeling ashamed.
I started to play with my hands.
" um .... Rock those words that I said to you I didn't mean it"
" I know you didn't Nia, but as a man I should of said something instead keeping my mouth close"
" for now on I plan being here for you forever"
" Rock you don't have to" I said shaking my head.
" I want to though, you don't deserve this hell you probably would not be here if I didn't pick that phone up, but I let my ego get in the way, and I deeply apologize"
" it's ok " I said
" no it's not you sitting here in the hospital bed bruised up and I could of stop all of this"
" let me do you a favor and take care of you" he said pulling my left hand into his.
" I swear you are the sweetest guy I ever met"
" you think so ?" He said raising his eyebrow.
" yea you just .... I don't know" I couldn't describe it.
He was just so caring yet rough around the edges, I liked it though.
But For some reason I felt like something was bothering him.
" is everything ok with you" I said
" yea why you say that"
" I don't know ... I just got a feeling" I said shaking it off.
Through out that whole day Rock stayed and even met my parents.
Surprisingly they all got along.
This was all I needed family and friends.
Two Weeks Later ......
Rock
" oh my God there is no need for you to do this" I said laughing at him.
I don't care how extra I was being. I wanted to make sure she was comfortable as possible since her job is giving her three weeks off to heal fully.
" I can't help it" I said shrugging my shoulders.
" I'm suprise your arm isn't broke" she said slyly.
" why would it be, you light as a feather" I said to her as I sat her on the couch.
" you know I never did thank you for this, I truly appreciate this" she said sincerely.
" it's no problem and plus it would be better for you to stick around here just in case he would try to find you at your place"
Ofcourse his rich ass made bail and was a free man ... again.
I just don't get how the system let him get away.
" yea you are right about that"
I notice how sad she got all of a sudden.
" you hungry I can cook you something to eat"
" you know how to cook ?" She said smirking.
" you know I meant take out" I said laughing.
" that's ok I can just make some Jambalaya"
" you sure" I asked her
" just becasue my arm is in cast is not going to stop me from cooking"
" well go ahead and get to cooking ma'am"
She shook her head at me as she got up slowly.
" you need to go grocery shopping sir" she told me.
Nia was looking in my frig.
" what for when I have you"
I didn't know how to cook to save my life.
