It is illegal to cross breed with a hybrid. If a vampire is exposed for claiming a hybrid as a mate they are given the option of being arrested indefinitely for soiling the vampire's pure blood line or forced to kill their mates.

* Hybrids
Seen mostly weaker than humans and most forced into prostitution.
After birth, most hybrids are left to fend for themselves, either finding masters in humans or other stronger hybrids.
After the age of 15, they begin to have needings every few months that causes extreme pain and discomfort, if not mated they could possibly die, depending on the strength of their heat.
Male and female hybrids can get pregnant.
Are extremely terrified of vampires because of their mafia ties and prostitution rings for hybrids.
There are only two types of hybrids. Feline or wolf.
Are not tied to family but tend to find other hybrids of their own kind and form small groups and communities to survive. Live in the forests away from people but can venture into the human world to find masters or mates.
