Manik was working in his office when his phone ringed....he glanced at the no flashing on the screen....his eyebrows furrowed together when he saw a call from an unregistered no....pondering who would he be....he picked up the call
Ma: yes who is there???
Caller: naam jaan ke kia karna hai journalist sahab
Ma: what (voice laced with confusion)
Caller: bara uncha urne lge ho.....ab hmare tak phncho ge.....tmhe pta nhi kis se panga le rhe ho.....hmare samne khara hone wale ki laash(dead body) bhi logo ko nhi milti.....
Ma: ohhh mr aman singh dhamki thi ye....dar gya mein (he smirked)
Aman singh : a corrupt and one of the most powerful politicians of india.....manik was working on a project against him to expose his corruption and evil face to the whole world
Aman: bache ho abhi isi liye araam se Smjha rhe tmhe.....kal tak ka time hai tmhare pass is project ko khud hi bnd kar do warna bnd karwana hme bhi ata hai (with this he hung up the call and manik was just staring at the phone with anger and determination in his eyes)
He threw his head in his arms and closed his eye....he knew that aman would do every possible thing to stop him.....b4 starting the project manik knew what would be the consequences.....he wasnt afraid of anything.....he wasnt even afraid of death thats what gave him the courage to take such step......he vowed to himself that he would never leave the project in between....he would fight against people like him....he would take the first step in improving the society
The whole day went like this and manik didnt give his frnds or family a slightest hint of the threat....he was at home in the evening and mukti manik was fighting over the silly things like siblings do while riya was in nandini's lap and they were playing with riya's doll....riya was such a cute baby that nandini luved being in her company....her cute chubby cheeks and her smartness could make anyone fall in luv with the little one when riya shouted after not getting attention from manik
Ri: mamuuuuuuu (she said getting irritated) u dont play with me now....m angry with u (she said pouting turning her head to opposite side in anger)
Ma: ohhhhh baby is angry (getting up from his place he picked riya from nandini's lap)
He kissed her cheeks one by one but she pushed his hard rock body with her tiny hands...... I m not talking to u
Ma: but we were going to play (her face lit up at the word play )
She clapped her hands excitedly jumping in his grip...... lets play...lets play
Ma: but u r angry....how will u play with us.....chalo its okay we 3 will play....u can watch us
Ri: no m not angry......i will play......mom tell him m not angry (she whinned looking at mukti)
Mu: ayeee manik dont trouble my daughter (slapping his arm and riya laughed sticking her tongue out at him)
It was mukti's turn and everyone hid in their places....they were playing hide and seek and everyone was participating in the game fully equally excited than riya.......riya hid beneath the table while manik was finding a place for himself......he went to a room and found a perfect place to hide in the cupboard...he hid there but after few seconds nandini opened the closet with intention to hide but then found manik there.....she decided to go from there disappointed as she was unable to find some gud place to hide but then they heard mukti's voice that she was cmng....nandini panicked but manik pulled her inside the closet and closed the door....nandini was about to shout at his sudden pull but he put a hand over her face and gestured her to keep quiet........he put a hand on both sides of her waist and jerked her towards himself making her gasp.......
N: manik game (she panicked)
Ma: she wont find us that easily (moved closer to her so that their front was colliding with eachother)
They both looked in eachother's eyes and their was sth in manik's eyes which scared nandini.......they were lost in eachother's eyes when they heard mukti shouting tag and giggling of riya.....manik smirked at nandini saying mene kha tha naa
He tugged a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her earlobe......nandini shuddered bcz of their closeness.....aman's words echoed in his ear and the thought came to his mind that he wouldnt get a chance like this next time......like sth would happen......he hugged her close to him and he moved towards her neck when the door went ajar and riya shouted tag making them jump away from their places......
Ri: u 2 were hiding in the same place (placing hand on her chin)
Ma: come mamu will buy u an icecream (picking up riya so that she wont spill the beans in front of mukti while nandini went from there with embarassed face)
At night manan were in their room and manik wasnt able to meet his eyes with nandini bcz of that act...he was embarassed...what he was going to do.....nandini was surely hating him..these were the thoughts playing in his mind making him disturbed
Ma: wo nandini.....wo din ke time ....... (he was stuttering) m so sorry
N: dont be (she said fixing the bed sheet....then she lied down on bed while manik looked at her with shocked+ happy face as he thought that she wouldnt like it but from her behaviour he could tell that she didnt hate it also.....he was happy at that also)
He went to bed to pick his pillow when she said in low voice
N: u can sleep here (making space for him and manik didnt wait for a second b4 jumping on bed and passed her cheeky smile b4 closing his eyes..... ufff this man.....it seems that he was waiting for this from years...she blushed after reminding his actions
Next day he was waiting for their next move but the day went smooth without any problem....in the evening he was little relaxed and he decided to take riya to park who was asking for it from past 3 days.....he entered the apartment and saw riya shouting with excitement running towards him....he picked her up and twirled the doll b4 hugging her and kissing her temple
Ri: I missed u so much....u know these 2 ladies r so boring (she whispered in his ear making her laugh)
Ri: u r laughing (pouting angrily she nearly shouted)
Ma: no ofcourse not why would i laugh at my princess(hiding his laughter)
Manik was sitting on sofa eating snacks while talking to mukti and to nandini rarely when riya came holding her doll
Ri: m getting bored here...koi mere sath khelta hi nhi
Ma: come lets play (hearing these words riya started jumping at her place in happiness making manik chuckle at her.....he lifted her in air b4 making her sit on his shoulders and in this way they went to the park)
Manik was running slowly behind a laughing riya who was running using her full energy.......
Ri: u cant catch me (sticking her tongue out)
Manik with a large jump went near her and put a hand around her petite figure throwing her in air....her laughter echoed in the park breaking the silence and he hugged her close to him while kissing her cheeks
Ri: mamu m hungry (she spoke exhausted bcz of running......)
Ma: mere princess ..... u just wait here m cmng (he made her sit on bench while going towards the tuck shop...he bought chocolates and chips for her whistling he was happy and his actions were showing it.....)
He turned towards the bench where riya was sitting but the shopping bag slipped from his hand when he rushed towards it with large steps...he looked for her here and there....behind the trees in the swings but she wasnt there...... his face went pale and aman's threat ringed in his ears and a colour appeared on his face and disappeared soon......he was running here and there like a mad person....*what would he say to mukti* was the only thought cmng in his mind
He got exhausted and sat on bench holding his head when his phone ringed....he answered the call
Caller: bachi ko dhoondh rha ho (with a laugh)
Ma: khan hai riya (anger dripping from his tone)
Caller: ye jo kia ye sirf 1 trailer tha...hmare sath laro ge to nuksaan tmhara hi hoga.....
Ma: bachi khan hai (he said sternly)
His face was stoic but he knew what was happening to him....every moment was like years for him.....what would he say to daadi to muki to abhi...and to that little soul who would suffer bcz of him.....
Ma: tm logo ko mere se masla hai beech mein us ko kyon larhe ho....use chor do (he said controlling himself not to break down in front of him)
Meanwhile he heard a shrill voice of his Barbie doll mamu .....he turned on his heels to find riya...he let out a deep breath which he was holding from don't know how long and hugged her tight......he kissed her whole face madly saying
Ma: khan chale gye the aap.....aap ko pta hai mamu kitne pareshaan hogye...
Ri: wo there was a sweet uncle....u know he also played with me.....(showimg his excitement)
Ma: m here to play with u......u dont need to play with strangers riya.....mom ko pta chala to kitna naraz hnge
Ri: sorry......mom ko na btana plzz (she said fearing about her mother's anger)
While manik said nothing just hugged her close to him thinking that he seriously needed to do sth about it.....
