"You're not my Dad you know. You have no right to keep me from dating." I steam as I pace back and forth in Yoongi's room.
The guys had left awhile ago and now I was just ranting.
"I'm just looking out for you. Trust me, you'll thank me when you're not crying about your heart being broken." Yoongi says as he scrolls on his phone.
I sigh as I sit down on the end of Yoongi's bed.
"Is it seriously that big of a deal?" I ask.
Yoongi looks over at me and sets his phone down.
"As your best friend, it's my job to keep you from getting hurt. Guys lead to lies. Then you'll get hurt. So just listen to me when I say you're better off single." Yoongi says as he pats me on my shoulder.
"It's not fair." I pout.
"Life isn't fair." Yoongi says then pulls the blanket up.
"And What's with this outfit? You're too exposed." Yoongi says as he places the blanket over my legs.
"I just wanted to change up my style. I thought maybe I could show you I was mature enough to get a boyfriend." I say and Yoongi laughs.
"I know your personality, y/n. No matter how you dress I'll always know you're still a child."
I straight face at Yoongi's words.
"I can't stay single forever you know." I say as I mess with the end of the blanket.
Yoongi laughs and pats my head.
"Yeah, I know." He says.
"Then when will you finally let me meet someone without you scaring them away?" I huff.
Yoongi leans forward and boops my nose.
"Never."
...
The next day I decided I'd go shopping on my own for a bit.
I wanted to relax and hopefully even mingle a bit since Yoongi wouldn't be around to stop it.
After awhile at the mall I picked up a few things, mainly shoes.
Man I loved buying shoes.
"Y/n?" I hear and I turn my head in the direction of the sound.
Coming my way was Hoseok.
"Oh hey, funny meeting you here." I smile as I push a strand of hair behind my ear.
"You too. It's weird not seeing Yoongi at your side." Hoseok laughs, his smile brightening the room.
"Isn't it." I laugh.
"He's really protective, huh?" Hoseok says as he begins to walk beside me.
"Very."
"Doesn't it get a bit frustrating? I mean you don't even get to date." He says.
"You're telling me. I'm surprised Yoongi isn't popping out of the floorboards just because we're talking." I say.
Hoseok laughs but I was serious.
Yoongi was everywhere.
"He's a good guy, he's just looking out for you." Hoseok says as he looks over at me.
"Yeah, I know. It's just a bit much sometimes ya know."
"I understand. Hey, I know Yoongi probably won't like it but would you maybe want to keep hanging out?" Hoseok asks and I look over at him, eyebrows raised.
"Like, together?"
He laughs and nods.
"Usually. That's kind of what hanging out means." He says.
"Oh um, yeah of course. I'd like that." I smile.
"Okay, cool. Should we go back to your house or?" Hoseok asks.
"My house.."
Yoongi definitely wouldn't approve of that.
Plus Yoongi was the only guy who had ever been in my room before.
"I mean unless you'd rather go somewhere else." He says but I'm fast to deny.
"No, my house is fine." I say.
"Alright, then should we go?" Hoseok asks, smiling down at me.
I nod slowly and lead the way.
Yoongi definitely wouldn't like this so we will just have to make sure he doesn't find out..
...
"Your room is pretty cool." Hoseok says as he runs his fingers over the picture frames on my desk.
Most of the pictures were of Yoongi and I but some were of my family too.
"Thanks. It took a long time to decorate it how I wanted." I say.
Hoseok looks over at me and smiles.
"So, What do you plan on doing for your birthday?" Hoseok asks as he sits down on the edge of my bed.
"I'm not sure. Usually Yoongi and I celebrate together since our birthdays are on the same day." I smile.
"If you have a party I can be invited, right?" Hoseok asks, giving me a cheesy smile.
I smile as I bite my bottom lip.
"Of course."
"I can't say this in front of Yoongi so I think now is the perfect time to say it." Hoseok says, shifting closer to me.
My heart started to race as his knee touched mine from how close he got.
"You're really cute and I want to get to know you better." Hoseok says as he looks up into my eyes.
"Are you serious?" I ask.
"Of course I am." Hoseok smiles.
"I don't know..."
"You Just have to get to know me and I'm sure things will be great." He says as he looks into my eyes.
Instantly, I think about the rules.
"I can't.." I say.
"Oh come on y/n, it's not gonna hurt you." Hoseok says, his finger twirling a piece of my hair.
Before I can reply, someone else does.
"What the hell." I hear, causing Hoseok to move back.
There, I see Yoongi standing by the door.
When the hell did he get in here?
This is exactly what I mean!
He's everywhere.
"Oh hey Yoongi." Hoseok says as he moves his knee away from mine.
"What are you doing here? And what do you mean it's not gonna hurt? What were you trying to get her to do?" Yoongi asks, a Not so happy look on his face.
"Relax, we were just hanging out." Hoseok says as he stands.
"Really Yoongi, we were just talking." I say as I stand up, pushing my way in between the two of them.
"I think you should leave." Yoongi says, his eyes on Hoseok.
"You want me to?" Hoseok asks, looking down at me.
Now both of them were looking at me with two completely different looks.
"Y/n." Yoongi says, his voice stern.
I turn to Hoseok and drop my head.
"It's best if you leave." I say.
Hoseok pulls in his lips and nods before heading towards the door.
When I hear the front door shut, Yoongi looks down at me.
"What did I tell you, y/n? And have you forgotten about our rules? You can't date my friends and you definitely can't date Hoseok." Yoongi says sternly.
"It wasn't like that."
"Then what was it like?" Yoongi asks.
"He just said he wanted to get to know me better. It's not like we're gonna date or anything." I say.
Yoongi scoffs before shaking his head.
"You don't know Hoseok like I do. He's not a good person for you. I'm telling you y/n, stay away from him or you're gonna regret it." Yoongi says in a warning tone.
I look at Yoongi who was staring down at me with a serious expression on his face.
I sigh and nod.
"Fine, Okay." I say.
Yoongi lets out a breath and nods.
"Now, let's hang out." Yoongi says.
I nod and sit back down on my bed.
As Yoongi and I sit there I think back on earlier.
What did he mean when he said I didn't know Hoseok like he did..
What was I missing here?
He seemed fine to me..
I shake the thought and lean back into my bed.
Honestly, I'll end up dying alone.
