Chapter 15 – The Start of a Big Mess
Seth’s P.O.V.
Naghire ako ng private investigator to know who that Blake Bustamante really is. He may be famous like an artist but alam ko na somehow, may tinatago yun.
I didn’t like what he did to my sister. My sister was raised up by my parents and her biological father well enough para lang bastusin ng tulad niya. My sister is well respected and people look up to her because of her kindness and beauty. Tapos ganon lang gagawin niya sakanya?
I think that’s too much.
Alam ko over protective na ako pero alam ko na this is the right thing to do: to fight for my sister para naman hindi siya makawawa. What if she gets pregnant? Diba? I just can’t let my sister’s image fall and ayoko siyang siraan ng ibang tao because of this one mistake.
I’ll find a way to solve this. Pero dapat sabihin ko muna kila Mommy & Dad. >:)
Rein’s P.O.V.
After ako kausapin ni Seth, natulog muna ako para kahit papano mawala sa isip ko yung nangyari last night. As for Ella, napagalitan siya ni Mommy, Daddy at Papa ko. Bakit daw kasi niya ako iniwan eh alam niya naman daw na I don’t usually go in places like that.
After ko matulog, I changed my clothes into jeans and a shirt tapos I decided na pumunta kay Michael. I haven’t visited him in a while. Last na visit ko was when I met Josef.
I brought flowers and candles before ako pumunta doon. And the same as I expected, naiiyak parin ako seeing him as dead.
“Hi Mike. It’s been a while since I last visited you. How are you? I’m sure you’re happy in heaven now. I miss you so much.”
“Alam mo, I did something stupid last night. I got drunk and… I slept with a man whom I haven’t even met before.”
“Sorry.”
And naramdaman ko nanaman na may luha na pumatak galing sa mata ko.
I still couldn’t believe what I did last night. That was an act of being irresponsible and it resulted me to lose a thing that’s important for women. Tama sila Papa, wala nanaman akong magagawa eh. Sabi nila sila na daw gagawa ng paraan to not make me feel bad.
“Umiiyak ka nanaman?” I heard a familiar voice coming from my back. Pagkalingon ko, I saw a man wearing the same shades but a different jacket this time.
“Josef.” I called his name then he sat down beside me.
“Bakit ka nanaman umiiyak? Why do I always see you when you’re at your worst? That should stop. Seriously.”
Napatawa ako sa sinabi niya. He held my face with his hands and wiped my tears away with his thumbs.
“I can’t stand to see you crying. Parang tinutusok yung heart ko everytime I see you cry eh.”
He hugged me and sinandal niya ako sakanya. And sa hug niya, I felt the same feeling when Michael hugged me before. I felt safe.
“Sabi ko na nga ba dito lang kita makikita. Pumupunta ako dito almost every day just to see kung nandito ka eh. And last night hindi mo sinagot yung texts at mga tawag ko.”
“Sorry. It’s just that something happened last night. Something really stupid.”
“Ano naman yun? Maybe I could help?”
“Well… I don’t want to talk about it eh. It’s just an act of being irresponsible and stupid. Really.”
“Kung ano man yun, I’m sure there’s a reason why that happened. Wag na maging sad.”
I smiled weakly at him.
“You can’t fake your smile. Ganito nalang to cheer you up, may pupuntahan tayo.”
Bago pa ako makapagsalita, he helped me to stand up tapos guided me to his car. He brought me to an ice cream parlor sa isang mall. He asked me kung ano yung gusto ko and siya na nagorder.
Parehas kami ng inorder na flavor which is yung pralines and cream dahil pareho daw pala kami ng favorite. Pinagtitinginan kami ng mga tao because he was still wearing the sun glasses and his hoodie was still covering his hair.
“Ayaw mo ba talaga tanggalin yung shade & hoodie mo? You know… para kahit papaano low profile. I don’t want any issues.”
“Ayaw mo nun, we might be in tomorrow’s headline. One of the kind-hearted princess in the Philippines started dating again.” He laughed a little. “But seriously, I don’t care if my name gets in any news. I’m kinda used to it.”
“Talaga lang? What’s your real name ba? Why won’t you show your face to me? May tinatago ka ba behind those sun glasses?”
Natawa nanaman siya… “Trying to talk me into this? Won’t work. Trust me. I’m willing to hide my indentity by all means.”
“You’re not a murderer or something right? Why would you even hide your personality?”
Natawa nanaman siya. We were eating our ice creams habang nagkukwentuhan at nagtatawanan kami. Nung bigla nalang siyang napatitig sa lips ko. Then bigla niya nalang pinunasan yung part ng lips ko na may ice cream with his thumb.
“Ang cute mo kumain ng ice cream.”
OMYGOSH! That killer smile! Ano ba ‘to?! Parang sasabog na yung heart ko sa sobrang kilig!! :”> WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :”>
After that, namasyal nalang kami sa mall and we were still getting the attention of people because of him.
Hinatid niya din ako sa house after naming mamasyal. He still didn’t show me his face. But I noticed one thing, I was strangely comfortable with a person whom I don’t even see his face.
“Rein, I have to go na.” He said while I was still staring at his covered face. He seemed familiar.
“Owww… Okay. Sorry.” I was supposed to get out of his car but tumakbo pa sya to my side to open my door.
We stood face to face and he was giving me the smile that gave me shivers every time he does that. “Bye na. Thanks for cheering me up always.” I told him kasi baka makita pa sya ni Seth.
“That’s nothing. Okay, I’ll go ahead.”
Whoever Josef was, I know that he’s a nice man. As I was walking through the door, my other phone rang and I answered it agad. Who else would call me in my private line? My smile was ear to ear when I answered.
“Hello? Missed me agad?”
I heard his soft laughter and it made me blush. “Actually, yes.”
“You should continue driving you know.” I said as I was near the patio and I stopped there.
“I know. I just want to hear your sweet voice again. And I just want to remind you to drink your medicines, sweetheart.”
“Opo, Kuya. Sige na, I’ll hung up. Concentrate on driving. Good night!”
“Opo din Ate.” I heard him laugh. “Wala bang kiss jan??”
I was taken aback with what he said. I felt myself blush even more and I was like a kid na biglang kinilig. “Eh?? Seriously?”
“Joke lang! Sige na. Don’t sleep late, drink your medicine, and pray. Good night, sweetheart… bye.”
Hindi pa ako nakakaget over sa kilig pero I decided to go inside na sa house. Pagkatalikod ko, I saw my brother with his arms across his chest and giving me a deadly glare.
“Yun ba yung naghatid sayo dito? Sino yun?” He walked around me and stoped at my back. “That guy looks weird, Ate. Wearing shades and a hoodie at night?? Seriously.” He went back sa harap ko and gave me a grin. My brother is such a bastard!
“Stop it Seth.” After ko sabihin yun, I continued to walk without even looking back at him. He was such a pain in my head lagi. Why does he always have to irritate me?
“I think Mom, Dad and Tito Enzo should know what happened to you. That’s a big deal, Ate.” My gaze turned back to him and gave him a sharp look.
I just looked down as I didn’t know what to respond. I just continued walking away from him. Now isn’t the time to let my reckless brother to ruin my good mood.

Looks like I don't have any plans on going to sleep. It's almost 1am and I've been rolling in bed for almost 2 hours now.
Hindi maalis sa mind ko yung galit ni Dad and ng Mom ko when they found out that I wasn't pure anymore. I didn't know what to feel since alam ko na I've lost something really important.
Dad even told me hurtful things but I accepted them all kasi I know sa sarili ko na I wasn't responsible enough kaya nangyari yun.
And to thing that they were always giving me their full trust, sobrang shameful yung ginawa ko. Yes, I didn't want it to happen but still, it’s my fault.
To my surprise, my phone rang. I was taken aback by the though of who could ruin someone's sleep at this time of hour knowing that we all have works and classes tomorrow. I just didn't mind it till it stopped ringing.
Somehow, I was secretly hoping na si Joseph yun. He didn't call me this whole day and I'm beginning to worry.
My phone rang for the second time and the ringing was irritating me so I decided to answer it. It was an unknown number so I tried to be as polite as possible.
"Hello? Rein Villafuerte speaking. Who's this??"
"Rein... Can we talk??" Bitterness kicked in my system as I heard the voice of the famous bastard, Blake Bustamante.
"How'd you get my number?" I hissed.
"Kinuha ko while you were sleeping." I felt amazement in his voice and lalo akong nainis sakanya.
"If you're calling me para lang inisin ako, I'm going to hung up now, JERK!" I really emphasized the word jerk just for him to know that he's like that.
Blake's POV
"If you're calling me para lang inisin ako, I'm going to hung up now, JERK!"
Ouch. Hahaha
She truly is amazing. Ang sarap asarin kasi pikon. Hahaha. But she's really nice. Not to mention her sweet scent, her kissable lips, her perfect set of teeth and those eyes. I’ve been staring at her pictures for almost the whole day now.
Sa totoo lang, I’m outside their house and I was supposed to say sorry and tell her the truth na kaya lang, nakakalibang kasi talaga sya. She looks so cute with her annoyed expression and pati na rin the way he said jerk. Hahaha
“WHAT?! Stop calling! Do you know what time it is?!” I dialed her number again and ang tagal bago niya sagutin tapos ganyan pa. Kamusta naman yun??
“I’m outside your house. Let’s talk.” I told her calmly.
“Talk?! Seriosly, Blake? Ano ba gusto mo?!” I saw her na sumilip sa window niya and mukhang galit na galit na sya. Hahaha.
“Baba ka dito or you want me to tell the press people what happened?” I can’t help but to form a smirk on my lips as I heard her footsteps running down their stairs over the phone.
Bumukas yung front door nila and nakita ko si Rein in her pink pj’s na may pigs na nakaprint. Para syang bata. Hahaha. She went out the gate and tumayo sa mismong harap ko. She looks beautiful kahit ganyan lang suot niya.
”What now, Bustamante?” She said as she were gritting her teeth na para bang kinamumuhian niya talaga ako.
“Masunurin ka din pala talaga, babe eh.” I said as I tucked strands of her hair sa may ears niya then I kissed her sa cheek. I felt her palm land hard on my face.
“No one dared to do that to me babe…” Napasmirk ako lalo while I was holding my cheek. I went near her more which made her lean against the gate. I held her wrists at the top of her head and kissed her roughly. I know this may looked like I’m forcing her into something but I’m not.
When I finished the kiss, she covered her face with her hands and cried. Naiinis ako. Parang bigla nalang I felt guilty with what I did.
I was supposed to hug her when she yelled on top of her breath na I should go. “Umalis ka na, Blake!! Please!!”
“But..”
“Please, Blake?!! TIGILAN MO NA AKO! UMALIS KA NA!” Pagkasabi niya nun, I saw lights flickering open sa rooms ng house nila. Napatingin sya and began to panick. She started pushing me papunta sa car ko. “Umalis ka na before my parents see you, please?”
“REIN?!” Napatingin kami sa front door na biglang nagopen. I was shocked when I saw that si Matteo Yllustre pala ang dad niya.
“Sht.” I cursed quietly. I know na sobrang laking gulo nito when my Dad finds out. Nagmadali ako na pumasok sa car but I felt someone pulled me. Sinandal niya ako sa car ko and began punching me hard in the face.
Rein was crying and was screaming for her dad to stop but he still continued punching me. “ARE YOU THE ONE WHO RUINED MY DAUGHTER?! HA BUSTAMANTE?!” I didn’t answer but he punched me again. “ANSWER ME!” And doon sa punch na yun, I fell to the ground and Rein hugged me.
“Dad, please stop!!” She hugged me tightly while she was sobbing. “Sige na, Blake. Go now. Let’s talk again some other time.” She caressed my cheek and inalalayan ako to stand up papunta sa car.
“Your Dad and I will talk, Blake.” I heard Matteo say before I closed my car door.
This is going to be a big mess. Nice one, Blake.
