Chapter 12
Daren's POV
“What’s going on here?!” A security guard rushes forward, “break it up and get home NOW before I call the police!”
Rick lets his arm drop and scowls, “We’ll finish this on Monday.”
And the group disperses angrily. Sylvia whispers something to Arya before moving away and her eyes expand.
“What was that about?” She shakes her head and heads over to the boy.
“Steven? You okay?” She lifts him to a sitting position.
“I… I think…” He shakes his head, looking pale.
“Here,” I bend down throwing his arm over my shoulder, “Where’s home?”
“Ary knows,” he whispers, “I’m not exactly good at directions.”
She laughs, “No you’re not. Oh and hey,” she digs around in a bag that had been flung to the floor in a fight, pulling out a cold water bottle and pushing it against a swollen patch on his face, he smiled and laughed hoarsely.
I lead them to his house and we walk inside, Arya refuses to leave him alone and I refuse to leave her to take care of him by herself so after a fight we all stay at his house.
