" Okay, that's it guys !" I declared leaving the meeting
I glanced at my Phone which was ringing from past 1 hour.
" Hello Maa!" I greeted
" Gurnoor, how much will you work dear ?" Mom asked
" Mom, I'm sorry. Just a week more and then im off " I apologized
" Okay, can you just tell me what colour would you like to wear on the mehendi ceremony. Since , you are busy I'll have to this also " Mom taunted
" Maa, it's okay. I'll pick my dress " I replied
" Come on, tell me. I'm anyways sitting at home doing nothing" Mom said
" Blue " I replied smiling
" Okay, take care dear. Come back soon. Love you Gurnoor" mom bid adieu
" Bye maa, take Care. Love you too" I quickly replied and kept my phone down
As soon I kept it in my pocket it vibrated. I looked at my phone and it was a text... From Virat?!
It read , call me as soon as possible.
I dialled his number and he picked up in 3 rings.
" Hey " I greeted
" Uh-hey!" He replied abstructly
" You told me to call you?" I asked
" Actually, you know it's nothing. Leave it " he spoke
" Virat, if something is there then please tell me " I quizzed
" Actually, my teammates wanted to listen to your voice. So yeah !" He trailed
" Oh!" I replied awkwardly
" So you were on speaker " he said
" Well, then I must have sound like a creep " I giggled
" You have a beautiful voice" he stated
" Thanks , how are your matches going on?" I questioned
" They are good, just a match to go and then we go to New Zealand for the next tour" Virat explained
" Wow! Great. It's a good place, I always wanted to go there " I spoke
" Then why don't you join me there? Anyways, you don't watch cricket so you know you can learn what's cricket and then kinda explore New Zealand" Virat asked
" I really don't know. I just got a holiday for 1 week and I mean the wedding preps are already on.. " I trailed
" Oh yeah. I totally forgot. It's okay " he replied sounding sad
" But you know I can always adjust" I smiled
" You mean ?" Virat puzzled
" I will visit New Zealand next week. It'll be fun to know about cricket and explore New Zealand. Maybe , we can also know more about each other " I blushed
" Sure, that would be great. Looking forward to see you" Virat Giggled
" Okay, have a great match Virat. All the best. Bye !" I said
" Thanks. Bye " he cut the call

Virat & I got engaged a month back. It was a arranged one. Our Families are good friends. We both asked our family not to rush in the marriage so we took a break of 3 months and decided the marriage.
Virat Went to Sri Lanka in the meantime while I finished my work of the publishing house. I owned the company ' Redline Publishers '
I took a break from my work for a week to look how the prepared of the wedding are going on. But I guess, I'll have to make it three.
I was flying to Makau to the book launch but now I will not attend it as I will fly to New Zealand. I think this is a opportunity where I can really know Virat better.
We haven't contacted so much. It's just after the engagement, 2-3 meets and then texts. Calls are very unusual.

I was here standing at The Tauranga Airport waiting for Virat to pick me up.
I texted my Mom that I landed safely in New Zealand. In moments, I saw a car standing in front of me. Virat stepped down embracing me in a hug.
" Hey, how are you?" He asked
" Fine as always" I smiled
" Let's get going" he spoke as we sat in the car
The whole ride, we discussed how was our work and usual things. Virat told me the schedule. He had a game after 2 days. He said , we'll just rest since I just landed and tommorow we'll start exploring.
We reached the hotel and Virat was bombarded with some paparazzi. We both decided to keep our head down and ignore them. We were soon taken in the hotel with the help of the Hotel Security.
" I'm sorry you had to suffer that! " He hushed
" It's okay, it's not your fault" I smiled
" I don't know if you want a separate room.....or.....maybe, ......you..... could..... actually...if ....you ....want....can.... stay....in my room ?" He asked shyly
" It's okay. I can stay with you, anyways I'll have to get used to it " i giggled. Virat smiled at me and ordered the Buttler to take the luggage to his room.
Virat & I went to have the brunch. He kept talking about the Previous tour the whole way.
" Hi Virat" Suresh Raina popped in front of us
" Hey Raina, oh! It's Gurnoor here. My fiance " Virat introduced
" Nice to meet you, Gurnoor" Suresh Shaked hands with me
" Nice to meet you too " I greeted
" Here is Priyanka and My Daughter Gracia " he introduced
" Nice to meet you all too " I shook hands with Priyanka.
" Going for the brunch?" Suresh asked
" Yes Actually" Virat replied
" Then why don't you all join the team ? Let Gurnoor blend with the girls ?!" Suresh asked
" Yeah, Vee bring her to the brunch " Priyanka requested
" I'd love to join you all to the brunch" I replied smiling
" Okay, let's go " Virat Led the way talking with Suresh
" The girls are going to love you" Priyanka whispered
" I hope so " I smiled
" Do you want to hold her ?" Priyanka asked pointing at Gracia
" My pleasure" I nodded taking the little princess in my arms
We walked to the brunch and sat on a table where several cricketer with their families were seated
" Hello peeps! I'd like you all to meet Gurnoor , My fiance" Virat introduced
Soon, I got small Hi's and Hello's.
" Hello Guys. It's nice to meet you all " I greeted
" Hey, Sakshi here " Sakshi shook hands with me as I sat beside her
" Hey " I smiled
We soon got engrossed in our conversation and ate our brunch. The Brunch made me introduce to the team and the girls. I even made plan with them to shop. They all were joyful. Even the kids, they all were cute little smilies.
" See you soon, Gurnoor" Ritika waved
" Yeah sure " I waved
Virat and I both stepped into the elevator going to our room.
" They all love you" Virat said
" Looks like " I replied
" So what do you want to do now?" Virat questioned as we stepped in our room.
" I don't know" I answered
" How about We get to know each other more ?" Virat asked
I nodded and Virat sat in front of me and we both instantly hit off in the conversation.

My eyes were shut, hands crossed. I was for the first time praying like this to God for something.
Woahhhh!!!
I heard the crowd cheer and as I opened my eyes , I realised that Virat Had reached to 102*
I stood up clapping for him, my eyes were moist and the smile on my face was just not disappearing.
Virat waved his bat and looked up. It was a blistering innings. Virat had hit some monsterous sixes. He had literally smashed all the NZs bowlers , even the finest.

" Thanks, here !" He replied handing me the trophy

" Because, you are the reason I scored a century" he smiled tugging my lose strand of hair
" No, it's you " I whispered
" No, it'll always be you " he kissed my forehead
" Virat, you deserve this. You earned this " I said handing the trophy back to him
" Gurnoor, I'm glad I have you. I never realised but I fell for you. Damnit, I can't even put it in words. Dang, I love you Gurnoor. I'm shameless falling for you everyday" he hugged me tight
