Her heart was once as soft as pure gold,
She was a loving person and not very bold.
She was always with her friends, no matter what
She cared for them although they hurt her a lot...
But as the days went by, the gold caught rust
And her heart- a beautiful piece, lay beneath a layer of dust.
The dust was her self-respect, her identity and her pride,
She finally knew that in the end, there will be no one by her side...
She realized that she wasn't just a doormat for others to step on,
The girl with no self-respect was now long gone...
She still loves the people who respect her and care,
Others don't try to use her, because now, they dont dare!
