~WHY?~ (another poem from a long time ago)
My heart is heavy; I wish this pain would be gone from me.
The voice inside my head tells me 'Being strong is the key'.
Grief isn't an option, it seems more like it's required.
And the life I have now isn't the one I once desired.
So I keep my head and and I look at the sky.
And all the questions in my head revolve around the word 'why'.
Why do people suffer; why is there so much hate on this Earth?
Why can't people see their greatness, or see their self-worth?
Why do people think cheating is ok or that lying is good?
And why don't we try to make these problems right like we should?
So much dying and so much hate, not near enough love and trust.
And when you look into the matter, you see the causes are unjust.
There's nothing I can do; I can't change this world on my own.
The best thing I could probably do is just try and make myself known.
I love my family and friends, and offer them all I have to give.
And I'm very grateful for everything that God has blessed me with.
