She had to do it really often. Midnight emergencies had become a part of her life for the last one year.

"Hum uthe hue hain Amma.. Chinta mat kariye hum time pe taiyyar ho jayenge (I'm awake Mother.. Don't worry I'll be ready on time) Khushi answered from her room
"Jaldi kar Bitiya.. Mandir bhi jaana hai (Be quick child... We need to go to the temple)" Garima said
"Ji Amma (Yes Mother)" Khushi answered
"Pandit Jee Aaj Bitiya ka shagun hai... Bhog Bantwaa dijiye (Today is Our daughter's Shagun... Distribute this offering please)" Shashi said holding out a basket of fruits and sweets

Arnav and His family were seated in the Hall of Gupta House when Anjali and Garima descended the stairs with Khushi.
Arnav's breath hitched in his throat when he took in her appearance. His heart skipped a beat and he stared at her in awe.
Khushi sat on the sofa next to him
"You're looking breathtakingly beautiful Khushi" Arnav whispered huskily
Khushi blushed a little
"Thank you" She replied
"You're looking beautiful Khushi" Arvind said
"Aaj toh Chote ko bhi complex ho jayega... Right Arnav? (Today even Arnav get a complex... Right Arnav?)" Anjali asked
Arnav smiled
Ratna and Arvind made Khushi wear a Red Heavily Embroidered duppatta. And applied kumkum on her forhead.
"Khushi... Spread your Pallu" Ratna said
Khushi spread her Pallu in front of Ratna. Ratna kept various gifts in her lap.
Anjali caressed Khushi's cheeks and kept a small box in her Lap
"God Bless you both" Anjali and Shyam said to Arshi
"Thanks Di" Arnav said
Khushi blushed
"Ab aapki beti humaari hui Garima Bhabi(Your daughter is now ours Garima Bhabi)" Ratna said
"Khushi toh Hamesha se aapki thi Ratna. Aaj bas baat pakki ho gayi (Khushi was always yours Ratna... It's just official now)"
Ratna opened a box and extracted bangles from them. She held Khushi's Hand and made her wear the bangles
"You already know what they signify Khushi... But just for the sake of it. These are Maa's Bangles and she had given them to me when I got married to Arvind Ji. They are her blessings for the daughter in law of the house my child. Preserve them more than your life. From now on, They are yours" Ratna said
"Thank You Maa. I'll take great care of them." Khushi said
"That's like my daughter" Ratna beamed
"Hello Hi Bye Bye Arnav Bitwa Khushi Bitiya, God Biless (Bless) you both. Khush Raho (Always be happy)" Manorama said
"Thank You so much Mamiji" Arshi said
"Yeh Hamaar taraf se.. Small Gipht (This is from our side.. A small gift)" Manorama said giving Khushi a box of Jewelry. Manohar patted her head and blessed the couple
Khushi smiled accepting the Gift
"Maa.. " Arnav called
"Haan chote? (Yes chote?)"
"Itne saare Gifts ka kya karegi Khushi... Kuch zyaada nahi ho gayaa? (What will she do with so many gifts... Don't you think it's a bit too much?)" Arnav asked
"Nahi chote... Bilkul zyaada nai hai. Tumhe saari zindagi jhelne ke badle mein bahut kam hai (No chote... They're not much... On the contrary they are very less in return of bearing with you all her life) My poor daughter in law" Arvind said
Arnav glared at his father
"Chote... Oops Mr Arnav singh Raizada... Your glares don't affect me... Only your employees get terrified of your so called glares" Arvind said
"Dad... Aapne toh abhi se team change kar li (Dad You already changed your team) Not Fair!!! Now I'll be left alone" Arnav said sulking
"I was always in Khushi's team sir.. You were the forever alone one" Arvind said teasing Arnav
"Arrey kisne kahaa tum akele reh jaaoge? Banane Do Khushi aur Arvind ko Team... Tum meri team mein aa jao. Woh Dono Sasur-Bahu ek Taraf... Hum dono Sasur-Damad ek Taraf Kyu Arvind? (Who told you you'll be left alone? Let Khushi and Arvind be a team. You be in my team. They FIL and DIL be one team. We FIL and SIL will be the other team. What say Arvind) And Mind you we'll do great together!" Shashi said winking at Arnav
"Oh Yeah! I'm not the forever alone one Mr Arvind Raizada!!" Arnav showed his tongue to his father
Khushi chuckled
"Acha... Ab Arnav Ki baari. (Okay... Now it's Arnav's Turn)" Garima said and applied Kumkum on Arnav's forehead
Shashi handed him a small box with gold coins in it. Then he kept a coconut on his lap.
Garima and Shashi did the couple's Arti and Kept Khushi's hand in Arnav's.
"Apni jeevan Bhar ki kamaayi saump raaha huin aapko Beta... Khayaal rakhiyega meri gudiyaa ka (I'm trusting you with the responsibility of my whole life's earning. Please take care of my doll)" Shashi said
"Don't worry uncle. Apni jaan se zyaada khyaal rakhuinga mein uska (I'll take care of her more than my life)" Arnav assured
"Barkhurdaar.. Ab Papa ya Dad bulane ki aadat daal lo(Now get habitual to calling me Papa or Dad my boy)" Shashi said
Arnav smiled and nodded
