"You know I know who you really are, ain't need to lie
The universe couldn't keep us apart
Why would it even try?
Don't let them hurt you ever
I know you far too smart
Before things come together, they have to fall apart"

Alix's P.O.V.

- "What?!" I exclaimed with opened eyes has Harley told me the deal she made with my dad.

- "Please don't freak out Alix, I know it doesn't sound good, but it was the best option." She tried to calm me down by taking my hands in hers and squeezing them gently, she looked calm but concerned with me.

- "What the fuck Harley?! I just got you back and now you're basically telling me you're leaving me again? How can you be so calm." I said and felt the need to get up, but when I looked at Harley I couldn't help but sight and stay put.

- "Alix, I'm not going to move continents and be more than five thousand miles away from you because I'm sure we can do this. I know it." She said softly, it almost seemed like she was pleading for me to understand her decision.

- "But, Harley, it never worked before because we were never strong enough to stay away from each other. What tells you we'll be able to do it this time? I just, I don't want to lose you." I said and felt something weighting on my chest at the thought of her leaving.

- "That's not going to happen, we'll be careful and try to spend time outside the house together. School is almost over, we'll get out of here if we can, we'll be together everyday, we just have to stay away from each other at home. I know I'm crazy, but I just want to be with you and have everyone be okay with it, so, until we can find a way to sleep in the same bed everyday, we just have to control ourselves." She said with a smile now and I couldn't help but to let myself smile shortly at the tought as well.

I got up now and for a moment she furrowed her eyebrows trying to understand what I was doing. I went to my desk and opened a drawer, inside there was a small silver box, I took it out and put it behind me moving towards Harley. Kneeling down in front of her we stood at the same height now and I gave the box to her. She looked at me with furrowed eyebrows and hesitated before opening the box. Inside were two rings, the one she had given me and another ring, one I was already planning on giving to her. It belonged to my mom and it was the only thing I still had from her.

Vovó's ring, the one Harley gave to me, was probably more antique than the one I gave to Harley, but both of them weren't from this century surely. The ring Harley gave to me was a Diamond and Sapphire Platinum Engagement Ring and the one I was going to give to Harley was a French Sapphire Diamond Silver Gold Engagement Ring.

- "You, you got me a ring?" Harley asked as she looked between the rings and me.

- "It belonged to my mom. I have been keeping it for when I got engaged, but since I already have a ring and I'm already getting engaged, than I want to use this one to claim you as my soon to be wife." I said, taking the ring out of the box and smiling.

I silently took her hand in mine and put the ring on the finger it was supposed to be at.

- "It's really beautiful Alix..." She said, checking the ring.
After a couple of seconds, she did the same with me and put my ring on my finger.

- "This, these rings are a reminder of what's at stake. I refuse to lose you again." I said now looking her in the eye.

- "You have no idea how much I love you Alix. I won't ever lose you either and I can promise I won't ever leave you, they would have to kill me before forcing me away from you." She responded.

- "I love you, Harley, so much." I said and for a second we got in our little own love filled world and almost kissed, but both of us backed away knowing we had to follow rules in the house. Imagine if we actually broke them even before my dad accepted this whole deal?

Guess we have to control ourselves way more.

Harley's P.O.V.

After yesterday I was nervous. George was supposed to tell us if he accepted the deal today.

As I left my room to go and have breakfast, I saw my mom and George at the table. I said good morning and sat down.

George wanted to talk, I could sense it, but I also knew he wanted Alix to be here to hear the decision and that was one of the few things I agreed with him on. I also wanted her here.

After less than a minute, Alix came out of her room and sat down, she was nervous as well, but most importantly I could see she was concerned. I knew how much it meant to her having her father accept this.

- "So, George, wha-" I tried to ask but he put a hand up and stopped me.

- "Calm down ok? I'm going to answer everything so you can both relax." He said but I could sense a bit of annoyance and defeat in his voice.

We just looked at him expectantly. I took my mom's reaction in and she seemed pretty relaxed.

- "So, I spent the entire night thinking about this deal and I've decided." He said but every word seemed to get out of his mouth in slow motion.

- "Come on George! You're making the girls nervous, just tell them what you've decided." My mom said getting impatient as well.

- "Ok, ok. Well I accept the deal. I accept your relationship. I still don't accept the marriage, that's completely out of the table, I don't want my daughter to even think about getting engaged before she's at least 25." He said looking at Alix in the end.

- "But dad, we're not going to get married now. It's a future plan." She responded.

- "Yeah, well, we'll see. Meanwhile, Harley, don't forget, if you brake the rules, you have to keep your part of the deal. No stepping down." George said looking sternly at me.

I nodded before I responded.

- "I won't brake my word if the time comes." I responded seriously.

- "Don't you dare Harley! I mean it." My mom said looking at me, but I knew she wasn't concerned about the rules, she just didn't want me to move. She was ok with me and Alix being together, but she wanted us to behave so I wouldn't have to leave.

- "I know mom. Don't worry. We know what's at stake." I responded and looked at Alix. I couldn't help but to smile a bit, both of our parents accepted our relationship.

The rules were pretty basic. We couldn't kiss or sleep together. Hugs were supposedly ok if we didn't take the chance to feel each other up. Anything that involved pda was also against the rules, like holding hands or being too touchy feely with each other as well as calling each other babe or baby or anything like that. The other thing we agreed on was that we would have to build some kind of trust. If I wanted to talk with Alix or she wanted to talk with me, her dad wouldn't be watching us like a psycho or being paranoid about something happening and in return we would be honest and follow each and every rule. Apart from that, if we were outside the house and George wasn't there it would be fine to act normal.

- "So this means you accept our relationship dad?" Alix asked like she was making sure.

George looked between me and Alix serious before he actually almost smiled.

- "Yes, I accept it. Be happy both of you, but follow the rules. Maybe someday you can convince me on the whole wedding thing." George responded. I took Alix in, she was so happy, so free of guilt. It made my heart swell up.

- "Thank you dad, I promise we'll be good." Alix said and looked at me with a smile.

Finally we wouldn't have to hide or carry this guilt on our shoulders of somehow ruining our parents marriage, finally they accepted our relationship, even if we couldn't exactly act like a couple around the house.

Today, I couldn't help but to have the biggest smile on my face. As soon as me and Harley got to school and got out of her bike, I took my helmet off fast and as soon as she took hers off I pulled her to me and kissed her passionately. I didn't mind whoever was watching, if my dad wasn't here, I would kiss her if I wanted to.

- "Wow, if you kiss me like that every time we get to school I'm going to start to bring you here on the weekends as well." Harley said right after we kissed, her eyes still closed and a smile on her face.

I smiled as well as she opened her eyes and looked at me and than behind me. At that her expression changed to a pitiful and sad one.

- "Harley, what's wrong?" I asked her and tried to look ro where she was looking, but she responded before I could look.

- "Nothing, let's go inside? The guys must be at the bar already." She responded and I stood for a second trying to figure out what happened, but let it go and started to move.

Harley's P.O.V.

We moved towards the bar and I couldn't help but to feel a bit embarrassed and sad. It's just the face she hasd when she saw me and Alix kiss was one I couldn't forget. I didn't want to hurt her when she helped me when I was down, but I also wouldn't let anyone or anything keep me from being with Alix and loving her outside our house. I just hoped Claire could find someone perfect for her, someone who loved her enough to treat her the way she deserves, because I could and would never be that person.

As we got to the bar, my smile returned seeing our friends. I didn't even care that Matt was there, ok, maybe I did, cause when he looked at us, I pulled Alix closer and kissed her for a couple of seconds trying to tell him she was mine again, but when I looked back he was smiling, like proudly smiling. What the hell...

- "Hey guys, so does this mean you told your parents you're back together?" June asked and Alix smiled instantly and nodded.

- "You're back together?! Fucking finally! Seeing you two all sad and gloomy for two months was taking my appetite away." Leo said making us smile.

- "Yeah, yeah, the world could be on the verge of ending and you'd still have appetite." Luna responded making us laugh.

After some time the bell rang and we got up to go to class, but I was pulled back by my arm.

- "Hey, hum, Harley, can I talk with you after class?" Matt asked a bit nervous scratching the back of his hair.

I looked at him curiously but a bit annoyed but said yes and moved to class wondering what could he want from me.

_______________________________________

When I left my class, Matt was already waiting outside the door and we moved to a calmer place.

- "So, what do you want to talk about?" I asked trying to hurry him up because I still wanted to spend some minutes with Alix.

- "Well, first of all, I want you to know I'm really happy you and Alix are back together, when you were apart she was beyond sad, almost depressed and I'm glad you're both happy and together. Second, I wanted you to give me a chance to be, you know... your friend. I know you don't fully trust me, but I really want to be able to just hang out with you and the guys without having you hate me. So yeah, what do you say?" He said and asked with a nervous smile.

I looked at him and studied the way he talked, but apart from being nervous he sounded and looked genuine.

- "I think everyone deserves a second chance, you are not an exception. I'll gladly give this a shot, but if you so much as try to flirt with Alix or touch her inappropriately, I won't even think twice before killing you." I responded but he smiled again.

- "Sure. Either way, I don't want Alix, sure, she is beautiful and an amazing person, but she clearly belongs with you. In fact I wanted to ask you something else." He said still with a smile.

- "Ok, what is it?" I asked curious.

- "That girl that you spent time with while you and Alix were apart, Claire, well, she's in some of my classes, and I, I don't know, I kind of have a crush on her. I just, I wanted to know if it's ok for me to, you know, try and ask her out, I mean is she even straight?" He asked and I almost smiled seeing how nervous he was.

- "I have nothing against it if that's what you want to know and she is not a lesbian, she, like Alix, is bi, but treat her nicely, she deserves someone good. Just a tip, she likes adventures, like extreme sports and having fun, so if you ever ask her out don't just try some boring dinner in a fancy place." I said and smiled as he listened intently to me.

- "Really? Ok, nice. That's one thing we have in common already. Maybe you can give me some more tips on how I could ask her out or prepare the perfect date?" He said.

- "Yeah, but let's go and meet the guys, we'll talk on the way there.

I said and he nodded. We just moved while I tried to remember things Claire liked so I could help him. I must say I missed her friendship, but there is nothing in this world that would ever be more important to me than Alix and I knew that if I had her it would always be more than enough for me.
