Let me wander to where the words don't hurt

As they are never spoken

You underestimate the power of a letter

A word read

A sentence said

A mind fed

A reader:

Dead?

Take me! Oh filaments of mystery

Take me into your thrall

And take my heart once again

So when I fall

The illusion will cushion me

As I escape into veiled dreams

And as each fibrous strand breaks free

Thoughts unwind at the seams

And I am plunged into darkness once again

As the last page is turned

And my mind is forced back into reality

As I finish one chapter

And begin the next
