I'm so sorry I took so long to upload a new chapter. I had exams and then that period where you have to take about 2 weeks to chill.
Oh, and I hereby announce that there will only be about 5 or so chapters left!!! FINALLY IT COMES TO AN END SOON .

“So…” Not knowing how to start the conversation, the entire Southern Moon pack gathers in the hall. All attention is on us, the longer this awkwardness is the more agitated I become. “Argh! Enough with this ‘Oh my goodness’ and gawping expressions. It’s too awkward!” - “Let’s get this straight then, I am your alpha. I don’t think I need to confirm it anymore” Stepping forth, Nathan truly shown his presence as a prince and a alpha; one who holds the highest authority in this room. “We won’t accept you as our alpha until you provide us a good reason!” The beta, named John. “What kind of explanation do you want?” Ruffling his hair in agitation, Nathan sighs whilst the pack seemed to be determined for an answer and a explanation for Anna’s death.
I don’t think Nathan can do anything until I step forward. “Let me explain” Stepping out Nathan pushes me back, “You don’t need to speak just stay put” “I can’t stay put, I was the only one who stayed with Anna till the end” - Hearing Anna’s name from my mouth the pack growl at me - “Don’t any of you dare lay a hand on here” Nathan warned them in his alpha tone but since they had not truly accepted him, his tone had a limit.
“It’s fine Nathan, if they want to shred me into a million pieces then let them.” - “What?!” Nathan question me in a disbelieving tone of voice as I step forward, “Anna’s death was no conspiracy of mine or anyones. The genesis of everything will root down to the Queen Irene’s plans with the Eclipse Moon pack. Over the years they had been stocking up silver, dealing with hunters and the human government. As long as they had their hands on silver they could hold the upper hand throughout this kingdom. The incident back at the Eclipse Moon pack, was purely a genocide. It was purely unfortunate that Anna was the one who couldn’t make it out there alive.”
“I heard you could’ve saved her! The government, the Queen! Wants to get rid of us after the Northern Moon pack! You royals are all just evil and ruthless! You’re the remaining surviver of the Northern Moon pack right?! No wonder you got out alive! You purposely took revenge on Anna along with the royals!” Yelling and agreeing with one another I grit my teeth before cracking my knuckles.
“I also hate this kingdom! I hate the Queen! I hate your pack! I hate the queen! My pack did nothing but good for this kingdom, my parents, my friends. One by one I watch them leave me, I swore revenge and that is why you’re seeing me here today as the Crown Princess of this kingdom!”
Growls erupt in the room - jumping in front of me with a protective arm as the palace guards stop them from coming near us; their anger and sorrow deeply seep into my heart.
“Before you all rip me into shred please listen to my story!” “We don’t want to hear anything from you!” Yelling at me Nathan growls - “Take Raine back!” He orders; grabbing my arm the guards pull me away attempting to get me away from this chaos but if I really leave now. I won’t be able to fulfil the promise to Anna - To protect Nathan and look after her pack. “Wait!” I yelled and pulling away from the guards I grab onto Nathan - “Please listen to my story!”
“Raine!”
Trying to push me back i know the only way to stop them is to show them what I wanted to earlier.
Just like how Zero taught me to slip into people’s consciousness, I maximised my telekineses. Creating a empty space in their minds and linking them together - we now stand in a empty dimension.
Confused expressions appear on their faces, “You all won’t listen to me, so I’ll use force. In here, you cannot transform or hurt each other.” “You monster…” John growled with the rest of the pack behind him doing the same - yet I wasn’t scared, just frustrated. “I am a monster. Yet everyone, even a monster has a story. If you could listen to what I have to say, after that you can decide whether or not to kill me” Doubting my words they whisper amongst each other - “Alright, we’ll listen to what you have to say” - Letting out a sigh of relief I bow towards them in appreciation for their decisio
Taking it from the start, I describe to them how me and Anna first met. How she was an innocent angel at first, with kindness emitting from her presence whilst I on the other hand was a troublemaker. We were the polar opposites of each other, yet we became friends very quickly. With Nathan and Noah arriving at the Northern Moon pack, I described how I couldn’t understand why Anna clung onto Nathan and asked me to understand him under a different light - yet I thought it was because she was a really kind person from the beginning thus made me determined to change Nathan’s behaviour.
However, the day we met again was the day my pack was killed right in front of my eyes. Not only did she destroy my pack but did she execute my father and my alpha right in front of our eyes. Not a few moments later did my other follow my father to the after life - at that moment Anna was no longer the Anna I met at the royal ball. I remember blaming myself for being weak - and wanting revenge I decided to follow Noah back to the palace to stop Anna and the queen to carry on with their evil plans.
“Once me and Noah took the position of future king and queen. Anna hated me and I knew that she will be one of my biggest threats when dealing with the queen; I later heard Nathan’s story, about why he treated Anna they way he did, after hearing that I seriously thought she was truly a evil person, who just wants to succeed the throne. Yet I was wrong. Anna, only wants to protect her pack and the people important to her. If I’m right, Anna’s parents died during an attack, right in front of her were they slaughtered. I always thought she would never understand me yet it turns out that it was me and everyone else who didn’t understand her. After a long and tough battle we decide to work together against the queen, but that was short-lived. It really should’ve been me who had died, yet she asked the minster to come and help me first. It was my fault she died.”
Recalling all the memories I had with Anna, they were all truly bittersweet. So short yet so many experiences - “I really regret not putting more effort into getting to know her completely, but even so, it isn’t all my fault. You all here! Can you all truly put your hands on your heart and say that you all didn’t push her away?! Wasn’t it you all here who shaped her the way she was?" Questioning their actions towards Anna, none of them spoke a word back to me.
"I am not blaming it all on you all in here, what I am trying to get you all to understand is that what Anna wants isn’t us to be fighting but to be working together. To finish what she couldn’t”
Silence.
Not even a sound was made by anyone. We are all guilty.
The dimension I create soon enough breaks, with my limited power the guards support me as I watch the Southern Moon pack walk away. Only leaving John standing before us - “Perhaps… you’re right” Taking a pause in mid-sentence, John stares back at us and pinching the bridge of his tall nose me gives a sad groan. “Every since Anna’s parents died, we placed her in the position of Alpha straight away, we didn’t even bother asking about her opinion and expected her to know what to do. Never did any of us think, was she in pain. We all took her for granted. You’re right, Crown princess. We are all guilty” Becoming emotional from John’s confession he suddenly bows down on his knee.
“On behalf of the Southern Moon Pack, we accept Prince Nathan as our new alpha”
Succeeding the position, I return everyone back to the real world. “As your new alpha, I order you to bring me and Lucille to my father, your king” Nathan didn’t waste time, and hearing his words John nod “At your order, alpha” With respect he start to lead us towards a isolated part of the pack house. Finally reaching to the door that beholds the man we’ve been looking for, John seemed uncomfortable and hesitant. “What?” Nathan asked with a tone hinting he’s annoyed; hesitating again, Nathan push John aside and quickly push the door open.
“Is that you? Nathan?”
From what I always had imagined, the king was drugged to near death and ill. For why right before me and Nathan, is he standing so tall and majestic?
