As I rouse from a heavy slumber I am first aware of the coolness of the air and it's loamy fragrance. The ground is lumpy as if I were on a bed of earth and rocks. Slowly and reluctantly, I uncover my face. I blink, close my eyes, and blink again.
Now I'm awake, perhaps more fully awake than I've ever been. There are no paths around me and no sign of another person.This bizarre nightmare is mine alone. It's worse though than it first appears, usually after this point in waking I know who I am, and I don't.
I hope you know what I'm talking about.
I walked out of Tay's room, everyone was already fast awake.
Checking the time it had already been 1pm. I slept for so long. I stepped in my room, as guilt embraced me.
When guilt comes it takes me down the old familiar path. I want to refuse to walk it pretend that I'm the person I demand to be. But that's not me. I don't share my pains, but I own them. They make me stronger.
I grabbed my towel and walked into the bathroom shutting the door. I strip down and step slowly into the tub, turning the water on high and letting it beat over my head in steamy rivulets. Closing my eyes to the water as the heat soaks into my skin. Not taking much time I scrubbed my self and got out wrapping my towel, around my waist. I grabbed my clothes and placed it in the wash.
I headed back to my room when Trinity and some girl walked closer to me. Who's she?
"Goodmorning Danny." They greeted me as I smiled.
She knows my name. I walked into my room and shut the door. I threw on my hoodie and wore my Supreme men wear, wore my boxer , I wore my adidas track pants and sat on my bed.
There she is again. In my mind. Here I am again. Were we ever strangers? I'm not sure we were. That day I first saw her there was something, even I didn't know what.
I don't know how she has gotten into my head. I hate the fact that she can mess up with my mind just so easily. And it just hurts me at the same time. Malik didn't have to die now, trust me.
"Dan."I heard by my door, as my thoughts got distracted.
"Wasgood Tay," I replied with a rough smile as he walked in shutting the door.
"Yhu Ah'ite?" He questioned as i sighed.
"Yeah man." I replied.
"Kennedy and her brother jus' got here." He said. "They're downstairs."
"Ah'ite." I responded.
"Yhu finna come down though right?" He required as I lifted myself up after grabbing my phone.
We walked out of the room, and quietly down the hallway.
"Who's da new girl?" I broke the silence.
"Trinity's cousin." He responded before I nodded, " her names A'Driana,"
We slowly walked down the stairs before everyone's faces popped up by the kitchen table.
Our guest, Chip Anderson and his sister were sitting by each other.
Our presence distracted everyone, I avoided contact with Kennedy an went to shake her brothers hand.
"Hi." I said as she gave me a weak smile.
Making my heart weak.
"everyting gud?" He said once I went to stand next to Trinity.
"Yeah." I replied looking over at Trin who was wearing decent.
I realised she was melting.....and that had me to chuckling.
I remember how much she told me she liked Chip.... she used to always talk about how hot he was.
Although half of the people in this room knew I refused to say anything.
"starting off im sorry fah fi yuh lost." Chip distracted my thought as I stood at him.
"Yeah," I looked down after that response. "I mean, we're all affected by his death."
"Mi know."
"If I have ta' be honest. Da disturbin' thang gettin' in our way is yo' brother. I mean I would've appreciated it if it wasn't him."
"im sorry bout fi mi broders disrespect too." He replied. "mi mean mi only knew yuh guys had beef wen kennedy called mi fram Jamaica fah help..mi aredi warned fi mi broda but him wont listen."
I sighed deeply thinking.
"If I had ah gun on me right now it would blast through his head." David said with anger
"Mi respek yuh," Chip responded. "but mi rada yuh guys torture him dan to kill him."
"Yhu also don't want him dead huh." Tay added
"nuh, just torture him ill help yuh find him," He suggested as we looked at each other. "mi just want him to learn iz lesson. Deal?"
We kept quite for a while. Before I realised we were wasting time.
"Deal," I said as he shook his head.
"TayK," He said. "nah everybody ah fi yuh bredren, someone ah out dere decieving an selling yuh to the Babylon (police) wen mi luk pon yuh fava yuh arent dat but fi yuh inna de biggest trubble."
Tay chuckled staring at me before Royalty had walked down the stairs. I thought she was here the whole time.
Luckily she didn't get to hear this.
"Neddy." She said hugging Tay. "Yhu sleepin' over?"
She looked at her brother putting on a half smile as he smiles back at her.
"I'm nah sure." She responded before Trin pinched my hip causing a little jump out of me.
"What was dat fo'?" I questioned as she folded her arms at me.
"Neddy," She said. "Yhu should sleep over."
"Yeah yhu should." Jordan added.
"Yeah Babes." Royalty agreed.
"Ah mean, there's dis fine as lookin' , better dan yo' ex of course...." Trin said as I chuckled.
"Which one of her exes tho?" Lexis questioned.
"The last one of course," Trin respond with a laugh."homeboy is beggin' fo' yhu."
"Oh yeah wat's his name again?" Tracey thought. "Dat's right Andrian."
"I mean yo' free right.l?" Lexis questioned with a smile as I sucked my teeth.
A new guy huh.
"Trinity...." I said. "Yhu need ta' ask yo friends permission befo' yhu step da line ta' get her brother." I smirked winking, before walking up the stairs.

mi wouldnt gi him up fah notin inna dis world, mi would du notin to kip him safe.
doh mi wuk hawd to kip him comfortable. im fraid of de feeling dat him keeps inna fi mi heart. mi dont want to kip fi mi distance fram him. him doesnt care an yuh can tell by de way him walks wey or barely looks at mi.
