Choices blurred inside my head,
Maybe I should be daring,
maybe I should take a chance,
and,
I did

I opened the file,
to see you,
scars,
deep scars on your back,
bruises,
covering your chest,
my heart quenched,
when I saw the date underneath the picture,
this picture was taken,
the summer you left,
with your mother,
what had happened?
.......................
I flipped the page not being able to see anymore,
the next thing,
shocked me more,
a picture of a boy,
who looked,
just like you,
but with lighter hair,
who is this?
then,
I heard the sound of footsteps,
getting louder and louder
.....................................
