"And 1, 2, 3, 4," Carly counts off the beats as she and Colin practice the dance again for the nth time.
"ba ba ba bababa ba," Carly says out loud at each beat.
The duo get through the dance halfway when Colin messes up once again.
"You're not putting enough force into it," Carly says, stopping the music. "And you're half a beat late,"
"Like this?" Colin tries the move again, only to loose his balance and fall onto the floor.
Colin's cheeks flush a light pink in embarrassment as he laughs at himself. Carly laughs and holds out her hand for Colin to grab and help himself back up.
"That was a little too much force," Carly says, "But it was better,"
Colin was a good dancer, but he had a hard time getting certain moves right, especially when it comes to spinning (which happens to be in the move that he's trying to do now)
"Here," Carly says. "Watch me,"
Carly slowly does the move, rolling her upper body forwards, doing an arm movement before spinning and landing perfectly.
It seemed like an easy move but Colin kept tripping over his feat during the spin, causing the tall to fall.
Colin bites the inside of his cheek as he watches her do the movement, studying the way her body moves so he can replicate it.
"You try," Carly says and Colin looks at himself in the mirror.
Carly watches Colin as he does the body roll and hand movement before tripping on the spin.
"Ah," Carly says again, moving closer to Colin. "right after the arm movement, place your legs with one foot in front of the other like this-" she demonstrates "And then it'll be easier to spin,"
Colin nods and tries the move again, successfully completing it.
"Yes!" Carly cheers high-fiving him, happy that her friend finally learned the move. "That was great,"
"Well I couldn't have done it without you," Colin says with a stupid smile on his face.
"Aah stop being cheesy," Carly laughs, "Now lets do the whole thing,"
Carly turns the music on and the pair dance through the whole thing, neither one of them making any big mistakes.
The music stops and they're both left panting from working hard.
"Ahh I'm so tired," Colin says as he walks up to Carly and wraps his arms around her shoulders while letting his body weight drag slightly, making her carry his weight slightly as she pulls him around the room.
"Ya! Stop it," Carly says, trying to pry him off of her, "You're too heavy,"
Colin lets go and laughs, rolling his eyes as he walks across the room to get a drink from his water bottle.
Suddenly, the practice room door busts open revealing Minji and Mina.
"Carlyyyyy," Minji calls, dragging out her name.
The girl looks up as she hears her name being called and she walks over to the pair.
"We're going out to get some food for everyone," Mina says. "Do you wanna come?"
Carly looks back at Colin who has his cheeks slightly puffed up from the water in his mouth, he nods at her and she turns back to the girls.
"Yeah I'll go," Carly says. "Colin and I are done practicing for now,"
"Alright, Let's go!" Minji says, spinning around and getting ready to walk out the door.
Carly quickly jogs over to a pink sweatshirt that's on the floor.
"Is this yours?" Carly turns and asks Colin.
"Yeah," He replies simply, taking another drink of water.
"Good," She says before picking it up and throwing it over her head and sliding it over her thin body. Carly has the habit of stealing and wearing her friends sweatshirts.
She leaves the room with Minji and Mina leaving Colin confused and alone in the practice room.
Mina, Minji and Carly make their way through the company building towards the front entrance.
They pass Haneul and Daehyun who are at the vitamin water vending machine the company has.
"All I wanted was some water!" Haneul says in a whiney voice, lightly hitting on the glass window that separated Haneul from his beloved vitamin water.
"What happened?" SunTae asks, walking up to the boys.
"My drink got stuck!" Haneul says. "Twice!"
Daehyun laughs as he tries to shake the vending machine, trying to get the drink unstuck.
"Hey, be careful with that!" Minah says, also joining the small group. "More vending machines kill people a year then sharks do,"
"How do you know that?" Daehyun says, stepping away from the giant metal block.
"I just happen to remember useless information," Minah says.
"Did you ask one of the staff or trainers to help?" Chaerin asks, popping up out of nowhere, "They might be able to unlock it,"
"That's a good idea!" Haneul says, grabbing Daehyuns arm.
Haneul leaves and drags Daehyun with him to try to find someone to help.
Minah rolls her eyes playfully and looks at SunTae and Chaerin.
"The boys here are so stupid sometimes," She says jokingly and both Chaerin and SunTae agree.
"They are," SunTae says. "Ugh, I should get back to practicing,"
Minah and Chaerin tell her bye and watch her leave.
"I should probably go too," Chaerin says.
"What are you gonna practice?" Minah asks, stopping Chaerin before she can leave.
"Oh, I'm going to meet up with Mingxia and a few others, they're helping me with vocals," Chaerin explains.
"Oh! I'm about to go practice with them too," Minah says.
Chaerin smiles and holds her arm out for Minah to take.
"Let's go then shall we?" Chaerin asks with a smile on her face, Minah laughs and grabs the elders arm and they make their way to the vocal practice room.
As they make their way to the vocal room they hear loud noises and yells coming from the rap practice room next door.
"What's happening next door?" Chaerin asks as they step into the vocal room, being greeted by Mingxia and Hannah.
"Oh, Charlize, Areum, Yumika, Jaemin, Minyoung and a few others are having a rap battle," Mingxia says.
"A rap battle?" Minah asks surprised. "Wow,"
"Yeah, they started a little over thirty minutes ago," Hannah says. "They've gotten way louder than they were when they started,"
"Well I mean that's one way you can practice," Chaerin says, laughing.
"Yeah," Mingxia says. "Now lets get started?"
The four girls start practicing their vocals, occasionally getting annoyed by the yells from the room next to them.
Everyone continues practicing until Minji, Mina and Carly come back with food an they spend the rest of the night joking around and eating.
Wow I feel like this was longer than what the mini chapters normally are, so I hope you enjoyed this!
Also, I tried to add as many trainees as I could without overdoing it so if you're trainee didn't get much time in here, they'll definitely show up in the next chapter!
