"Luke, get up here now!" I shout down at the boy who was currently facing backwards too me.
"Yes Ashton..." he mumbles slowly walking up the stairs holding onto the banister, as he does so before walking out ready for me to lock the door behind him.
"The key Luke" I put my hand out waiting for the him to place it in my hand.
He stood there for a second and sighed reaching into his denim jean pocket and pulling out the gold embellished key.
"Thank you, now go to the living room Michael and Calum will keep you company while I'm gone.
Luke quickly spun round, his eyes locking with mine before he releases the rushed words. "-Where are you going?"
"Don't worry your pretty little head, I'm just going to get some groceries" I stole a quick kiss as I walked past him before turning round once more to see his sad, almost into a depressed state emotion. If I could even call it that. So I thought I might cheer him up. "Look- if you're good, I'll let you come with me next time"I crouch down to his height, resting my hand on his shoulder.
"Okay..." he whispered and I pulled him in for a hug he didn't react which was good since he did use too
"Lukey I'll be right back okay" I kissed his cheek lightly before walking down the hall, I hold the keys to the truck in my pocket opening the door before locking it behind me.
I mean Luke hasn't been uncooperative.
I could let him...but will he try to run.
I think he's given up.
As long as I have them come with me this will be fine. I quick outing. More or less.
I unlock the door and walk into the living room to where Luke Calum and Michael managed to fit on one couch watching some shitty series that we had watched at least fifty times already.
So this otta cheer them up.
"C-mon, we're all going grocery shopping together"
"Really?, can't you go and do it alone"Calum whined still cuddled up on the couch as Michael stood up.
"No, you're gonna rot your brain if you continue to watch this crap any longer. I'll be making out with zombies if you watch it any longer" I laugh as Calum rolled his eyes.
"C'mon Luke-I thought you'd be happier that your coming with us?" He was still siting in the same position as when I had walked in.
"I don't have a jacket or shoes, you threw away my last pair after I tried to run away..."I heard his voice perked up in a monotone sense.
"Ah-Well, I do have shoes and a jacket you can borrow. I'll be right back"

"Well there're baby pink so it's this or nothing kiddo" I was crouched in front of him as if I was tying a toddler shoe. In that sense I was tying the baby pink converse for him out of habit.
"And the jacket is also baby pink..." what, I was trying to go with a theme.
I held the jacket open waiting for him to stand up.
I helped him get his hands through and tied the zip for him. It's simple things like this makes me love Luke. Just having another person to share my love with is just...I don't know how to describe it.
"Everyone ready?" And I hear light murmurs from everybody.
"C'mon then" and then we left, jumping into the truck-off to the nearest store, eight miles away...

"Don't talk to no one, got it" I was leaning over the boy. Currently in the car park giving him a talk down.
"Yeah-I got it" and I grabbed his hand.
"Woah-wait, do we have to hold hands. I mean I'm not gonna leave or anything..."
"Nice try-but I wasn't born yesterday" and with that I dragged him into the store after Calum and Michael who were pushing the cart in front.
"Your hurting my wrist, when you drag me around like that" he whined.
Is he really gonna start up right now. Like an infant?
"Well your a runner, keep up" I joked.
"Well maybe if you trusted me I would..." he murmured.
"What was that?" I pause and look at boy dead in the eyes my hand on his shoulder. I look around to see if anyone was around...thankfully I choose a ghost town to live in as there's only five people in the store currently.
"I let you come out with me today, in the truck- and you think I don't trust you" I breath deeply, letting out an overdue sigh " Luke, I wouldn't let you cut your own dinner up let alone go outside with us if I didn't trust you" This boy I swear.
And then came the puppy dog eyes that I couldn't resist.
"Fine- fine, but don't go out of sight. Walk with me or the others"
And I got a very cheerful nod..
I'm a sucker for him.
"Ash, can you go get more toilet roll, we ran out this morning!"cal shouted over two aisles.
"Can't you get Michael to do it, I'm with Luke!?"
"Michael went to go get more gas around the corner"
"Fine!" I groan. "C'mon Luke" he followed one aisle over to the end.
But it was on the tallest shelf, even I couldn't reach it.
"Guess were gonna have to be a team in this case" Luke looked up, a weird expression plastered on his face but only for a second as I picked him up. He screamed.
"Put me down! Jack ass! Ah-mmh" I accidentally put my hand over his crotch.
"Grab it, the one on your left"
"Get your hand off me please" he spoke very eloquently. Assertive.
I moved to his stomach and waited for the sound of plastic hit the floor. Before letting him down.
"Sorry, I know I shouldn't of done that-I didn't know where I was hol-?"
"Okay can we drop it" he said while fixing his jeans and jacket.
"Speaking off dropping" I picked up the two toilet roll packets and carried both under my arms.
"Toilet roll, Calum's request" I averted my eyes towards the end of the aisle as a signal to leave and with that we did.
I really didn't mean to do that. I only want Luke to be happy too...
Not for my enjoyment anymore but for both of us...
The four of us...

Back again :). You probably don't care but thank you for those who do?. Slow ending I'm thinking 30 chapters maybe...so hopefully this is okay for those who don't want the book to end...
