Xandra's POV
"You're mine Xandra. Only mine. And if I can't have you then no one can." James said, his eyes bloodshot as he pointed the gun at Tyler.
My eyes widened. He can't kill Tyler. Tyler is my best buddy. I can't lose him like I lost Jasmine.
"Y-you can't do this James. This is wrong." I sobbed and I watched the commotion between James and Tyler.
Tyler didn't look scared. He was glaring hard on James.
"And what you did was right?!" He yelled at me, but his gaze was fixed on Tyler.
"What she did was absolutely right. If I were a girl, I'd do the same." Tyler said, winking at me before fixing his gaze back on James, who looked ready to explode.
"Shut up! It's all your fault you'll be losing your life soon." James said his voice deadly calm. Tyler wasn't fazed.
"Guys please stop. You can't do this." I sobbed again, tears leaking from my eyes uncontrollably.
James' eyes softened a bit as he looked at me. But he still had his gun.
"I love you Xandra. I really do. And I know you love me too. You just don't know yet." He said, trying to explain that to me, but it looked as if he was explaining that to himself.
"You still don't get it, do you? It was all a game, James Cage. A fucking game. We wanted you to fall for Xandra just the way Jasmine fell for you. We just wanted to avenge for her death. All because of you she isn't alive anymore. Bloody fucker." Tyler said, glaring at James.
James pulled the trigger and pointed his gun at Tyler. He was about to shoot him.
I had to do something.
I pushed Tyler out of the way as I heard the gun being shot.
I gasped as my eyes fluttered open. It was a fucking dream. A nightmare. A memory which I wanted to erase from my life.
I was shaking uncontrollably and I felt the beads of sweat on my forehead and everywhere on my body. My PJs were wet because of sweat.
I tried to calm myself down. I took two deep breaths.
I can't let this happen to me. I am not weak. I am Alexandra Black and Alexandra Black isn't weak.
I noticed it was still 12:00. I stared at my new room's ceiling. It was a light shade of purple. In fact, my whole room's theme was in two shades of purple only. I know it's different but guess what? I'm different too.
I noticed something bright outside my window.
Walking towards my window, I was surprised to see that there were lights on in the neighbor's house. Only one room's lights were on.
Who would be awake at such an hour of the night?
I sighed. It was none of my business.
I walked back to my bed and tried sleeping again.
In up to 20 minutes, my eyes started feeling heavy and sleep engulfed me.

You know the feeling when someone wakes you up early on a Sunday morning? That's exactly what I'm feeling right now, well it's not that early but it isn't very late either but who is going to explain this to my mom.
''I'm up! I'm up!'' I exclaimed, removing the cover from my body and sitting up on my bed.
Geez, so much hard work.
I sighed; Picked out a dress before rushing into the bathroom as mom started shouting again.
Letting all my stress and sleepiness out, I started relaxing in the hot water.
Hot showers are the best. Especially if you're tired and need to relax.
Yesterday, After a good five hours road trip, when I finally reached home, I was tired. I tried sleeping but woke up in the middle of the night because of the God awful nightmare. After trying so hard, when I finally slept, mom decided to wake me up.
I sighed. My life sucks.
After stepping out of the shower, I dried myself with a white towel and then got dressed. My outfit consisted of a pair of denim shorts, a black crop top, and my favorite white converse.
I decided to go with no makeup today since I'm starting school tomorrow, I'll just head out and have a look at this town.
I then straightened my waist length hair, and finally decided to get down and eat something.
As soon as I entered the kitchen, a heavenly smell filled inside my nose. I then started looking for those oh-so-delicious choco chip cookies.
I smirked as I found them.
There they were, placed on the table, but as soon as I tried to reach out for them, my mom slapped my hand away.
''Ow.'' was my only response as I turned to look at my mom.
Stood beside me was Lilly Black, aka my mom, with the motherly stern look on her face and her hands on her hips, her light brown hair( just like mine) was in a messy bun and she looked ready to scold me.
She still looked beautiful with her apron on. You could say that I got all my good looks from my mom. She was an evergreen beauty.
''You need anything, sweetie?'' My mom asked, too sweetly.
Too much sweet isn't good.
''Yeah, actually I do,'' I said as I tried to take a cookie, only to get my hand slapped again.
''These aren't for you, honey'' she said as she took the plate of cookies away from my reach.
''Oh? then for whom are these?''
''They are for the neighbors.''
''Have you met them?''
''Yes, I did. I meet this kind lady today morning, she gave me the directions to the nearest supermarket, she lives next door.''
''So, are you gonna bribe them with these paradise cookies?''
''What? no of course not, I just want to extend a hand for a friendship with her, I have a feeling that we are going to be good friends in no time.''
''Oh okay.''
My mom loved making friends. I sighed, before going towards the fridge.
I heard my mom say something, as I turned to face her.
''Just give me 5 minutes to get ready and then we'll go and meet them.''
Wait, we?
''What do you mean by 'we'?''
''I mean that you are coming with me.''
Oh no. Why do I have to go? I wanted to chill today.
