It was like a blast of cold water splashed all over Eamon's face when Liam yelled at him. Nobody ever told him off the way he did. He winced when he felt the familiar sting of his chin and saw the blood on his shaking hands. He was right though, in every sense of the word. Instead of letting him talk he just stupidly jumped to conclusions. And now Liam embarrassed him in front of the two boys that only paid attention to him. Not even his family cared, and because of what Liam said, he lost them too. He felt the familiar sting in the back of his eyes as he refused to cry in front of them.
He already almost did with Billy, and he wasn't going to show anybody how weak he really was. He was defensive for a reason. Anybody he ever got close to would always eventually leave him or never stayed too close or long enough to care. It made him cold, and a jerk because he was scared. That's why he didn't want Liam to get too close too and now look at what happened. On the first day of school, he told Liam that he had many friends but that was a lie. He had no friends, had no family that bothered giving him the time of day and now nobody. Liam had every right to hit him. He wiped the blood off of his chin and sniffed.
Liam and him may have many things in common, but Liam wasn't an asshole.
"Eamon..." Alec said to his left but he just shrugged him off. "He's right. Don't you dare feel sorry for me." Eamon bit out as he glared at Alec, making him let out a sigh. Eamon tried to stand up on shaky legs, feeling a little traumatized. Liam used to be the one to protect him from bullies, and now he was scared that he made a bully out of him. But he had it coming to him, it was his fault. Billy tried grabbing onto his arm to prevent him from stumbling but he shook him off. He didn't need their help he was fine on his own.
He limped his way to the bathroom ignoring the stares of the librarian, Alec, Jace, and Billy.
"Young man please go to the nurse's office!" She called out but he ignored her. He didn't want to go to the nurse's office, if he did, they would call his dad and his dad would just make it worse. He was just going to tend to the wound like he would all the others.
Even though Billy was worried about Eamon, he couldn't help but feel a swell of pride when he refused help from anybody. He realized that he was in the wrong, and had the balls to stick it up. His heart sped up as he admired Eamon even more and felt an undying need and urge to be close to him. How was this short human so strong? He just been hit by a werewolf, and while he couldn't fight the urge to strike his luna. He couldn't do anything about it. If it were anyone else he would of hit him even harder. It would be so much easier if this wolf of his wanted another werewolf. But that was the alpha's mate, and he was already walking on a thin wire with him and he didn't want to cause anymore trouble. His blue eyes never strayed away from Eamon's retreating figure even as the librarian spoke.
"I hope you gentlemen would look after the boy. He has been refusing to go to the nurse's office a lot more recently. He has always been so stubborn and prideful." She mused making Billy's fists clench. "What do you mean a lot more recently?" Billy growled out as he whipped his head to look at her. "He has been getting hit?" Alec asked trying to control his alpha side to him. The librarian nodded unsurely.
"Unfortunately, poor boy goes through a lot here at school with the bullies and his father seems to be of no help either." She tsked. "He is a very strong for a little man."
"I thought I took care of those bullies." Alec growled out as Jace put a hand on his shaking shoulders.
"Calm down Alec."
"Well, I'll leave you boys be then." The librarian said as she went back inside the library.
And just when she did, the little alpha snapped at Billy making him roll his eyes. Now that his alpha wasn't there breathing down his neck he could say and do what he wanted.
"I told you to stay away from him you rogue!" Alec growled lowly while getting dangerously close to his personal space. Billy held his hands up and refused to back down.
"As long as he isn't marked or officially claimed I have every right to fight for him. He is unmated." Billy deduced as calmly as possibly.
"He is mine!" Alec growled as Jace fought to calm down his alpha.
"Alpha, please!" Jace pleaded while holding onto his arm.
"That's where you're wrong alpha, he's mine, unless you're willing to share him." Billy growled back. "I got to him first remember." He smirked, liking the feeling of controlling the alpha's emotions.
"He's human, he has to know about us." Alec calmed down and reasoned. "We need to tell him before we have more problems with the high council." Billy arched a brow.
"High council?" Alec nodded, stepping away from him as Jace somehow managed to calm him down.
"They're rarely seen, and only appear when serious wolf matters occur. They have already been alerted about Liam's situation and are on their way. I don't know how we're going to deal with them being informed of this mating hunt. Eamon is a human, and its dangerous for humans to know about us."
Billy nodded. Surprised that they were having a civilazied conversation. "I don't want anything to happen to him. The council could kill him, if Eamon doesn't accept the mating hunt, or tells another human about our existence."
"What about Neil and his brother Adam? They're humans that know too." Billy dared say.
"That's what they're here for too. We're going to have to talk to Eamon."
Billy felt peeved about not being able to talk to Eamon about his alone but if it were to prevent a battle than it has to be necessary. Billy nodded in agreement.
"And Liam?" He asked.
"I've been thinking about offering him and his mate a place in our pack." Alec said to Billy making him frown.
"An alpha of the rouges settling into your pack? Don't think he will." He growled out. "He won't abandon a pack that he's built for so long to maintain!" He threatened.
"I know. But I'm trying to think of what's best for everybody here. The high council is going to want to hear solutions! Think you got a better idea?"
"Your pack isn't even an official pack, you're all just filthy rogues." He hissed lowly, careful so that no human around could hear. Billy tsked and fought off the urge to growl at this stupid alpha. Instead of listening to what else he had to say he did what no rogue would do, he turned around and looked for Eamon. This was a human school after all he wasn't so dumb as to start a fight with another werewolf. He ran down the hall smelling after Eamon and when he finally found him he was by the drinking fountains in the basketball court. Trying to take off the blood off his nose. Billy's smile tugged into a frown when he saw that he was crying. He walked up to Eamon, took out a piece of cotton out of his pocket and held his chin up.
"What are y-you doing?" Eamon stuttered out in shock as Billy plugged his nose with his cloth.
"Stop crying." He said, knowing that Eamon was the type that didn't like to be treated softly and he liked that about him.
"Who are you to tell me what to do? I can cry if I want too."
"It doesn't suit you." Billy tsked as he put the cloth back to his nose even when Eamon tried to fight him off. He was so damn stubborn Billy thought as he brought out his hand and slapped Eamon's butt making him stop and freeze as he looked at Billy in shock. He pushed his hand off of his nose. Making Billy frown in annoyance as a drop of blood ran down his nose.
"Did you just slap my butt!?" He cried out. "Be still and be a good boy. Or you'll get slapped again." Billy didn't mind it at all, he liked the feel of Eamon's round little ass against his hand. And his fingers were itching to touch it again.
"I told you to leave me alone!" Eamon said as he tried to put water on his bloody nose. Billy rolled his eyes and slapped Eamon's butt again making Eamon gasp a little. His cheeks suddenly matched his red hair when Billy refused to let his hand leave his butt this time. Instead he got much closer to him and held the cloth back up to his nose. He noticed that Eamon stopped crying and just let Billy do what he wanted.
Good. Eamon was a fast learner.
"The second one was for lying to me..." Eamon looked at him confused. "Why didn't you tell me or Alec that bullies were still hurting you?" Eamon looked down but Billy pulled his chin up. "Keep your chin up it helps the blood from flowing! Answer my question." Eamon gulped, he didn't know Billy still cared even after what Liam said about him. Eamon didn't know what happened then but he couldn't help himself from liking the way Billy's eyes dominated him. Or how he made his heart speed up. No one has ever looked at him that intensely before, not even Alec. It made him feel wanted, it made him feel safe.
"I-I thought you didn't care." Eamon said, as he was trying so hard to not let his walls come crumbling down. He felt that Billy could actually be someone that could stay. He wanted so badly to have someone care about him and stay. It wasn't like that with Alec, it never was. He didn't understand why Alec would always just make him want to stay away from Billy. Alec always somehow managed to make him mad, or annoyed and was always demanding something of him. But Billy...he was hard and dangerous with other people, but with him he wasn't. And it made Eamon feel special, Billy still didn't judge him even after the little scene with Liam. He still wanted him...
Billy smiled softly while pulling little Eamon into his chest. "I'll tell you something Eamon, and I'll only tell you this once so listen good. I love you, don't ask me why I just do. You don't have to tell me anything now but... if anything happens to you, you need to tell me okay? And I'll take care of it, I'll take care of you with all the little that I have. I don't have anything to offer you, I'll even tell you I'm no good. I don't have a single penny on me, but I can give you my heart and soul." And with that, Eamon let go. He cried so loud and hard into the school bad boy's chest. He cried for everything, he was worried that his blood would stain Billy's shirt. But Billy didn't care and just latched onto him.
In the corner of the hall Alec looked onto Billy and Eamon's hug feeling a rage bubble and boil over into his system. He hated how close that rogue was to him, and how he did get to him first. If only Eamon knew that he was a good for nothing rogue that couldn't provide for him, that couldn't give him anything. He wouldn't be so close to him. Alec was an alpha, and he could give him everything Eamon wanted. What did he see in that rogue? Even after warning him time and time again, Eamon was still being stubborn and wouldn't listen. "Alec come on..." Jace told him softly. But Alec wouldn't move. He tried so hard to win Eamon's affections from the very beginning and now this!?
He had to get rid of the rogues that came into his territory for good. Since Liam came he's been bringing nothing but trouble to his life.
"Alpha..." Jace said trying to encourage Alec to walk away from the scene before him, and he did just that...eventually.
Liam looked at the alpha after he stopped crying.
"I hit a human...I'm not supposed to do that." Liam whimpered worriedly.
"I think your friend understands my love." Arden said as he moved Liam's bangs out of the way.
"I feel bad for hitting him, but at the same time I don't. Is that okay?" Liam whispered shakily while clasping a hand to his forehead.
"That's perfectly normal." Arden chuckled. "Your wolf was just riled up and a little pissed off." He said while kissing his mate on the lips.
"But I couldn't help but think how hot my mate looks when he's angry. It was very sexy." Arden said while kissing his mate again, making Liam blush and almost forget why he was crying.
"Would he ever forgive me though? I really didn't mean it, I still want to talk to him Arden."
"I'm sure he'll come around baby." Arden whispered while placing butterfly kisses on his mating mark making Liam fight a little moan.
"It was wrong though...to hit a human." Liam whimpered when Arden nibbled on his weak spot.
"I'm a sub Arden...subs shouldn't be like that, only dominants have those kinds of tendencies to get riled up. Subs would always cower."
Arden stopped nibbling at his mate's neck as what he said made sense. "Liam?"
"Yes Arden?"
"You said you never knew who your parents were right?" He asked, making Liam shake his head.
"My previous alpha told me they abandoned me at birth. Why?" Arden really didn't want to tell him what he was thinking because he didn't want to tell his mate and worry him more.
"Don't worry about it love." He said going back to kissing his mate's neck and clouding his senses. He hated how his mate wasn't paying attention to him. And while he was busy pleasing his mate his mind couldn't help but wonder about something.
Maybe his mate wasn't just an ordinary sub after all. And he liked that.
