We reach the top of the stairs and there's a door at the far end filled with security guards.
"Taylor I have to go."He says with a straight face but I look at him knowing my face is showing him exactly how I was truly feeling.
"We can both make it out here alive." I say in a desperate voice starting to panic a bit.
One of the guys standing near the door call Luca and tell him that we have to leave immediately or else they'll see us. Luca nods at him and lowers my head more to hide my face.
He looks at me knowing that it'll be impossible.
"Goodbye Taylor." He says his voice filled with regret and pain.
He turns around but I stop him before he does.
"Wait.. I'm coming with you!" I say walking towards him.
"They're coming out. You have to leave now." The guy says to him and I feel my heart sink even more.
"Leave before it's too late." He says more urgently and gripping my arms trying to make me come to my senses but I can't leave him here.
"You know what he'll do to you when he finds out." I say in a more rushed tone trying to hold in the tears from coming out.
"I promised you I'd take care of you and I'd rather die than to break that promise. I wasn't lying when I said I was falling for you."
I don't deserve him, I don't deserve him. Luca was willing to risk his life for what? I feel the earth shaking and my heart break into a million pieces. I didn't want to let go of him. I didn't want to be without him.
I was desperate. I knew Rob was going to kill him and I didn't want that because... because I cared for him. I finally understood why I felt the way I felt about Luca. He was the light in my plunge of darkness and somehow he did make it feel better.
"Taylor leave now they're coming out!" He says shaking me and forcing me to move towards the door but I don't.
"I'm not leaving here without you!" I hear myself screaming. I feel like my heart is being cut into pieces with each second that passes.
I see the panic in his eyes and the sadness in them. He shouts something to the guy at the back and I suddenly feel him pulling me away from him.
"Let me go!" I shout and scream as he drags me aways from him.
I watch the pain in his eyes and for the first time his face reflects his true feelings. He looks broken and defeated. He knew how this was going to end and had accepted it. My vision is blurry and I know the tears are coming out. I don't hold them in.
If Luca went back in there he was as good as dead.
He still had his brother, his father and still had to find his missing sister.
Is this what love feels like. I was crying for Luca and my heart was bleeding because of him. Was I in love with him did he love me back? What was this. The feeling was horrible and all the emotions I've been hiding throughout the years all come bleeding out.
He quickly makes his way to me and without any hesitation he kisses me. He pours all his emotions into the kiss and runs his hand through my hair. I don't hesitate to kiss him back. He wanted me to remember him by this kiss.
He stops to look at me for a second. I've never seen him this raw and open with me. He wipes the tears on my face with his hand and looks at me one last time.
"I'm sorry.."
With that he turns around and I watch him walk away forever.

"Take a right turn and you can stop in front of that apartment." I say pointing to it.
He takes the turn and stops right in front of the apartment as I said. I try to open the door but it's locked.
"The-"
"Look Eve I know I was a bit rude tonight but it won't happen again." He says interrupting me.
I'm not interested in his apology I honestly just want to get out of this car.
"Yeah sure. It's cool." I say shrugging my shoulder and giving him a fake smile.
He stares at me and I'm forced to hold the smile. My mouth is in pain from this position but I just want him to nod his head and unlock the door.
But he doesn't.
"Stop smiling. You look weird" He says with a weird expression on his face.
"Uhhh... I thought you'd never ask." I let out a breathe of relieve as soon as he says that.
"Well it was nice hanging with you and stuff. Please unlock the door." I say growing impatient as time goes.
"I know you're trying to get away but I first want us to talk."
I sigh and this time I roll my eyes at him.
"We've been talking for the past hour and now you want to hold me captive in your car?"
"Open the door Cole." I tell him more firmly.
"Just listen to what I have to say."
He turns around in his chair to face me properly. I face the front, fold my arms together and wait for whatever he has to say.
"Look I'm sorry. I thought you wanted to so I just offered plus we were in a room alone so?" He says awkwardly scratching his neck and avoiding eye contact.
"I said it's fine just open the fucking door Cole!"
After a while he unlocks the door and I get out even more pissed than I was at first.

My heart is beating fast I feel overwhelmed with emotions. I can't see properly and I feel myself fall to the ground. I'm outside now and I look up to see those two doors closed.
"Fuck you look like a mess." I hear Ford say in the far distance.
He pulls me up and puts my arm around his shoulders. I'm still wearing his coat and his hat. I hug myself harder as if it'll bring him back.
"Ford we have to go in there and help him." I say stopping in my tracks and meeting his eyes.
"We can't. There's no way in and no way out. We can't take that risk and he knew that before even going in."
I keep quiet.
"Taylor." He says in a serious voice and stops in his tracks.
"Your father is here."
I continue to stare at him.
"He's the one that gave Luca money and he's the one who managed to get us in."
Too many emotions at once and I can't handle them. My brain shuts down and so does my body.
"Luca felt that he owed it to you to give up his life. Said he had to keep his promise or some shit."
I promise I'll help you kill him.
I promise..
He was going to kill Robert. That's what he was hiding when he looked at me earlier. I keep quiet cause I'm mentally and physically dead.
A helicopter descends from the sky and Ford rushes us towards it. The night air hits me hard but I feel warm in his coat.
A guy comes out and beckons for me to come forward.
"Go Taylor. You're safe from now on!" Ford shouts over the noise coming from the helicopter.
"Wait where's Nikolas?" I shout feeling flustered and scared to death.
"He's in the car we're leaving together."
"Come on we have to go!" The guy shouts.
I look at him and look at Ford. I think about Luca and think about Nikolas. I didn't want to leave them but I knew I had to.
"Goodbye Ford and I'm sorry about your dad.. I'm sorry.."
I wish I could tell him about how he has been haunting me all these years, searching for something I never knew but I don't. I turn around and make my way into the helicopter. They close the door and fasten my seat belt and give me something to protect my head.
"Are you ready?" He asks but I ignore him and I stare at Ford, watching him disappear more and more as the helicopter rises out of view.
I hug myself and take in Luca's scent, taking comfort in it. I was scared and alone but that was only the beginning of what was to come.
