(A/n:Glad you all enjoy the story what do think of the last couple chapters I feel like they've been good anyways let's get into the story shall we.)
Now for a recap that happen while you were being "Dead"
Well now you must be wondering what happened after y/n "died" well it was like normal but more gloomy.It took Raven about a year to get over your "death" and for her to go back to normal but still held a place in her heart for you.Your team was were sad that you left and hoped the best for you of course like you promised you visited them from time to time.Summer and Qrow were very upset finding out you were "dead" they took the longest to get over your "death".Qrow started to drink more than often and got drunk a lot and well summer she was more quiet she wasn't the same.Then there's Tai he may have been a dick or asshole but he felt bad for what he did but he tried and stay strong for his team even though he was filled with guilt.They went on and got done with beacon and graduated to be great huntsman after beacon Jill and Vincent got married then Raven and Tai then John and maria.But I believe we need to back up a bit and hear were have you been during all this.Well you see after you were healed up you went on got some new weapons and armor and traveled around meet some new people.You became a casanova during your travels one of the many place you went were menagerie and meet someone interesting.Kali a cat faunus who was very cute and caring how you met well you see during your time at menagerie you were on a job to clear some of the land so they could expand.Well you did that but no before leaving that place bloody and beaten with some very bad wounds.You were limping back to the village and passed out before you made it all the way she found you and took care of you.She nursed you back to health and you two got closer which lead to a very..........let's say steamy night.Of course you had to leave sooner or later which you explained to Kali and she understood to say if it was serious or not it was hard to say there was a lot of mixed emotions between the two to of you.Anyways you came a very well known huntsman and also kept in touch with Kali she was a good person.You kept in contact with your team who kept you updated on what's been going on and check on you now and then.On were about to drop in on a very important day
Y/n pov two years ago
I was sitting at a bar drinking the past away like I usually do since there's no job around and I thought I would take a breather.I was looking it at my glass and a thought came to my mind "today would have been the anniversary of me and Ravens friendship" oh well this is what she wanted after all.The bartender come's by and refills my drink and goes to care of other people and I see a chick very attractive I'll try my charms on her in a moment.I hear someone seat next to me I don't bother to see who it is I just focus on my drink but I can feel this person staring me down.
Y/n:Look buddy I don't know who you are but don't you know it's rude to stare
???:Sorry it just seems like somethings bothering you wanna talk about it
This guy sounded familiar
Y/n:it's just this would have been the anniversary of me and old friend but we got into a fight and she told me to leave and that she never wanted to see me and the worst part is that I was and still am in love her but other wise no i'm fine
???:Yeah I kinda figured after all I was there when it happened
Y/n:Wait what
I turned to see my old best friend John man did he grow a beard
John:Hey there old friend
Y/n:Hey how did you find me
John:One name Maria
Y/n:*chuckles*Of course so why are you here John
John:Well I hope you still have the tux from my sister's wedding
Y/n:Yeah why
John:Well first off i'm not saying you have to come to this but Tai and Raven are getting married
Y/n:Why are you telling me this John is this why you here
John:Yes listen I understand that this big for you and hard that's why I wanted to do it in person and i'm not saying you have to go but I thought I tell you and ask you
Y/n:Thanks John........when's the wedding.........
John:Next week at a church in patch i'm sure you'll find it if you wanna come
Y/n:You know what fuck it i'll go
John:You sure I mean you don't have to
Y/n:Raven would do the same beside even if she doesn't love me or wanna be my friend she's still my best friend I should be there
John:Like in the same room or.....
Y/n:I'll be watching from a safe distance I still want people to think I died after all it's not Y/n cousland it's now Y/n L/n
John:How is your family
Y/n:There good kieran is a professor at haven academy he teach dust mom and dad are retired and live at the same place pretty old though dad is still in great shape after all they were young parents
John:How old are they now
Y/n:Dad and mom are a year apart so dad is 64 while mom is 63
John:Good to know there still alive
Y/n:Yeah so how are thing between you and Maria
John:Great you know I think I'm gonna propose soon
Y/n:I better be the best man
John: Wouldn't that be hard since Raven and Tai,Summer,Qrow would be there
Y/n:Yeah maybe I'll come out just to be your best man then leave again
John:Sounds like a dick move
Y/n:Yeah but still it would be funny I fake my death and disappear and I just came back to be the best man then disappear how pissed everybody would be at me
John:Yeah they would be so your still in love with Raven there hasn't been anyone els e
Y/n:Well for awhile now I've been doing one night stands but there was this one girl her name was Kali she lives in menagerie and she found me wounded after clearing some grimm and she nursed me back to health and we got to know each other I stayed for a week or two and then one night we just had sex
John:Was there feelings involved
Y/n:Yeah I think there was I mean I felt something and she say she did too but we weren't sure and I told I had to leave but we still talk but I know I still love Raven I can't stop loving her I mean every time I think of all our time's my heart beats faster then aches when I think of her and Tai together
John:Huh i'm sorry for what you've gone through because of Raven and Tai
Y/n:It's not your fault man
John:Yeah still though I could have helped you more but the past is the past right
Y/n:Yeah............John I know you want to move on but I can't forget what happened
John:I know that's why i'm not saying you should or have to people go through grief or sadness in there own ways i'm just here to be your best friend and support you
Y/n:Thanks man
John:No problem anyways while I would love to stay and talk but Maria has some sort of surprise for me so yeah don't wanna keep her waiting I'll see you at the wedding and oh before I go Jill is pregnant so they'll have a baby shower soon
Y/n:Alright I'll try and show now go and get that surprise
John:*Chuckles*Alright see ya man
John stood up and walked out of the bar I looked back my glass it was empty I waved the bartender over to get a refill.He refills my glass I started think the fact that Raven and Tai were getting married it brought tears to my eyes.I held the tears back I had to happy for her even if it means i'm not happy the things you do for the ones you love.
TIMESKIP A WEEK
I was on a bullhead heading towards patch since Tai and Ravens wedding was today and being honest I couldn't stop and let a few tears fall from my eyes.Today was the day I was giving away the one I love and my best friend sure she hates me but I still care for her I need to move on from that day but it's so hard.I was wearing a tux with a black button up formal vest.The suit jacket was un-botton I was wearing a black tie white button up shirt.They were going for a standard color for the men women were black and red dresses.I was going in as a musician that John"Hired" I was gonna play an acoustic guitar at the wedding and so no one recognized me I wore a fedora that was black and had a white strip that went around it and some black shades plus the left side of my face was bandage from a fight.The guy smashed my face with a bottle making a cut plus tiny ones and glass stuck in my face tiny ones but still hurt.Of course after that I went ham on the guy which lead to me winning the fight though I should thank him it helps me here and now.This was pretty risky but hey I promised Raven that I would be at her wedding when we were younger and I plan on sticking to it and that's also a reason why I agreed to go to this wedding.The bullhead landed I had about thirty minutes before the wedding started so I started to run to the church.As I was running I was looking at the place they chose to have there wedding and from what John told me it also were there living it was a good choice they made ad a great place to start a family.I soon found a dirt that lead into the forest it went in deep but I started to follow the road and soon in enough I was in front of a white church(I want to not I choose a church since it's the most place wedding happen so sorry if you don't like church's )
It had steps that led into the church I looked at my watch to see I had ten minutes left I walked in there was two rooms to my left and right and of course the seats in two rows and a walk way in the middle to the rows then at the very end stood everybody.I walked to right side of the rows and took a seat with musicians and all now was to was to wait.Couple minutes passed and the lady on the piano started to play it and Raven walked out in a red bride dress.She looked great in the dress and she looked so happy I mean it was her special day and I had to be happy for her.Tai looked nervous as Raven walked towards him holding flowers in her hands.Qrow was walking Raven up to Tai he looked like he was gonna cry same goes to summer who seemed so happy for her teammates.Then there were my teammates who had big smiles on there faces John and Maria glanced at me and waved with big smiles on there faces mainly Maria.Soon Raven made it to Tai and it started.
TIMESKIP AFTER THE WHOLE VOWS
Priest:Does anyone object to this two getting married speak now or forever hold your peace(Sorry if that's not right I'm just going off what I think is right)
I wanted to say something so badly but I didn't no I couldn't ruin Ravens wedding what kind of friend would I be if I did that.
Priest:Then Raven branwen do you take Taiyang xiao long to be lawfully husband through sickness and until death(Like I said I'm going what I think is right so sorry if it's wrong work with me here)
Raven:I do
Priest:Then do you Taiyang xiao long take Raven branwen to be your lawfully wife until sickness and until death
Tai:I do
Priest:The the power in me I pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride
They lean and start to kiss people get up and clap for them and cheer while clapped but didn't get up.Tears were going down my face I wiped them away not wanting anyone to see then they walked outside the church going outside to hold a party in celebration of them getting married.They had food set up and speakers and decorations it was pretty sight I did my own thing staying away from any member of STQR and mainly talked to my team.Some time passed it was my time to play some music I grabbed my acoustic guitar I walked to the little make shift stage they had out there.I walked up and sat on a stool keeping my head down there was a microphone in front me all eyes on me.I already knew what song I was gonna play and John said that I was gonna play a slow dance song so everybody partner up.
People started to slow dance Summer was dancing with Qrow I think you know who the rest was dancing with Jill with Vincent,John with Maria,Raven with Tai.I watched as Raven rested her head on Tai as they danced they looked so peaceful tears escaped my eyes I was trying my best to hide them but I think some people notice.When I finished the song I walked off the stage and away from the crowd who were looking at me but I ignored them.
POV SWITCHED TO JOHN
Raven:Who's that guy
John:A guy I know I hired him to play
Tai:Alright but what's wrong with them
Qrow:Yeah he seemed really bothered
John:Well you see that song was what he and he's wife danced to on there wedding day
Summer:What happen to his wife
John:She died from grimm so it probably think of that
Raven:Why did he play it then
John:He was happy to play the song to a happy new wedded couple here I'm gonna talk to him
Qrow:Alright don't be gone to long
John:Right
I walked to were Y/n went I was lucky they believed that story I knew this was gonna be hard for him.I found him sitting against the church I'm glad I brought this I walked up to him and held out the flask.
ANOTHER POV CHANGE BACK TO Y/N
I was sitting on the side of the church this was harder than thought I should of thought of this being hard to do.I was looking down when I heard footsteps I didn't bother to look up since I wasn't in the mood to talk to someone.Then I heard what sounded like liquid hitting a surface like a bottle.I look up to see John who was holding out a flask offering me a drink I take the flask and drink some of it.He sits by me sighing as he looks out into the forest then looks at me with a sad smile.
John:You think you'll make it
Y/n:I don't know man I'm gonna try to though and thanks I really needed this
John:No problem man
Y/n:It's so hard seeing her married to Tai you have no idea how bad I wanted to object during the wedding but I chose to not to I couldn't ruin this for Raven
John:Your really selfless man you know that
Y/n:If that's what you wanna call it
We heard people cheering and clapping we look over to see a painful sight since I knew what it meant.Raven and Tai the center of the crowd Raven holding her stomach with Tai's hand over her's.They had huge smiles on there faces people were giving them congratulation's and hugging them.If you haven't figured it out yet then I'll tell you Ravens pregnant with Tai's child and I think I lost it.Tears started to stream down my face I was happy for them but it hurt so much seeing them happily married and having a child and all I wish was that it was me instead of Tai.But it's not and I have to deal with that even if i'm not okay or happy with it it's all I could do without revealing myself to them.
Y/n:I think I'm gonna go now
John:Alright will I see you at the baby shower for Jill
Y/n:I'll stay here for awhile for both of the baby's showers until the my old friend
With that I waked away holding a flask in my hands and tears going down my face and a sad smile.
