Jaeoh shifted in her sleep. She was starting to wake when she felt a weight on her waist.
Jaeoh opened her eyes and saw Daniel's sleeping face right in front of her. She frozed as she didn't expect to see Daniel and what's more sleeping beside her.
Jaeoh did not know what to do but stayed in the same position, trying to figure out how to get out of this.
A scene of last night suddenly came into her mind. She had told Daniel that she liked him and Daniel too said he likes her. She felt her face heating up as she recall that they had kissed and even though Daniel started the kiss, she had pulled him in more.
What an idiotic move, Jaeoh thought as she silently blamed her actions. She was afraid of Daniel's reaction when he wakes up. Will he regret the kiss? Will they stop being even friends?
As she was thinking through her options, she looked at Daniel sleeping with a peaceful face. For a moment, Jaeoh thought that he looked cute. How can someone even look good even when they are lying down?
Jaeoh than saw Daniel opened his eyes suddenly "am I really that handsome?"
Jaeoh immediately close her eyes to pretend that she was still sleeping but she open them again as she knows that Daniel already knew she is awake.
"Yah.. don't get embarassed on me now," Daniel started softly and avoided Jaeoh's eyes, "I was awake even before you were. I just didn't wanna wake you up since you were lying on my arm."
Jaeoh immediately sat up hearing that.
Daniel stretched himself for awhile, feeling a little sore on his right arm.
"About last night.."
"Don't worry Jaeoh, we did not do anything more then just sleeping and.. kissing."
They both went silent after Daniel talked about kissing.
Daniel thought that since both of them had confessed last night and that they were already adults, this should be alright. Especially since they did not do anything more. He didn't want them to be awkward but Jaeoh is acting awkward currently. He knew he have to say something.
"Jaeoh, I meant what I said last night. Even if we drank a little too much, I really meant what I said. I like you. But if you do not.."
"I-i do!" Jaeoh interupted Daniel before he could finish his sentence.
Daniel sighed in relief. He smiled as he look at Jaeoh whom is having her head facing down again.
Even though it has been a long time since he have dated and he had just debut not too long ago, he wants to have a relationship with Jaeoh.
He plucked up his courage and hugged Jaeoh, alarming her. He felt her stiffen but slowly relax her muscles.
"Can I say that today will be our first day?" Daniel said while not letting go of Jaeoh, feeling afraid that Jaeoh might reject him.
Jaeoh was shock by Daniel's approach. She knew she likes Daniel but she also considered about how Daniel had only just debutted.
"Won't it cause you problems if we are.. you know.. dating? It may affect your career if you... get caught dating."
Daniel let go of Jaeoh and look into her eyes, "I know.. But I like you alot. I kept thinking about you and it even affects my mood sometimes. I don't even know why but I just really like you. I will take the chance and I will also do my best to keep our relationship hidden. I will protect you."
Jaeoh's face was hard to read. But Daniel felt that since he had already started, he will not stop. Unless if Jaeoh rejects him.
Daniel opened up his right hand, palm facing up, "I wanna try this out. I wanna take this chance. Will you take this chance with me?"
Jaeoh remained silent but knew she have to make up her mind now. She had dated once and it was also with an idol but it didn't went well. However, seeing Daniel like this and even liking him so much, she felt caught in between. Should she try it once more?
"I-i will. But are you ready for anything that may be thrown towards us?" Jaeoh finally agreed as she hold Daniel's hand.
Daniel was so overjoyed to hear that he immediately hugged Jaeoh.
Jaeoh laughed, "If you hug me any tighter, I will not be able to breath!"
Daniel loosen his hug and smiled sheepishly, "so today is our first day!"
They went ahead to wash up. Since Daniel didn't have any extra clothes with him, Jaeoh had offered Daniel some of Taemin's clothes.
Daniel rejected as he did not want to have Taemin finding out about his clothes. Jaeoh than offered Daniel her biggest oversized sweater. She laughed when Daniel had change into it. It was really baggy for her but it fit Daniel a little tightly.
They prepared american breakfast together and sat at the dining table.
"Can I ask you something Jaeoh?" Daniel said as he munch on his bacon.
"Yes?"
"How did you find the kiss last night?"
Jaeoh choked on her food and coughed. She regain her composure afew seconds later and drank water which Daniel had given her.
"I-it was fine."
Daniel grinned hearing that, "Was it your first?"
"Nope. It was not." This time Jaeoh smiled as Daniel's grin were wiped off his face.
"Who was your first kiss? Tell me!"
"Nope."
"I am your boyfriend now you can't be hiding things from me!"
Jaeoh wanted to tease Daniel further, but she couldn't resist with Daniel pleading and pouting a little.
"It was Jackson."
"J-jackson? Which Jackson?"
Jaeoh cleared her throat knowing Daniel might be shocked, "Jackson of GOT7."
True enough, Daniel was shock with his mouth hanging.
"I didn't know you dated Jackson sunbaenim.."
"We were never caught. We just didn't work out. Only GOT7, my oppas and SHINee oppas knew about this."
Daniel was silent after that. Jaeoh could see a constant cramp formed on his handsome face and got a little worried.
"Are you angry?"
Daniel shook his head.
"Disappointed? Upset?"
Daniel shook his head again.
"Do you not like me anymore?"
"No! You know that I like you!" Daniel retorted, "I just didn't understand how he could give up a girl like you."
Jaeoh felt relief that Daniel was not negative about the news, "He had many schedules not only in Korea but he had to keep flying to Hong Kong and China. We kind of slowly drifted. Maybe we did not put in much effort to maintain our relationship so we kinda broke off. I was sad for a little while, but I recovered quickly as I already see that coming. My oppas had all told me so when we started being together."
Daniel suddenly grinned again causing Jaeoh to be confused.
"It's okay, because if you never left Jackson Sunbaenim, I will never have the chance to be with you."
"But you are an idol too."
"I will do my best to meet you as and when I can, even if I have to sneak out, I will. If I have busy schedules, I promise I will keep in touch with you," Daniel promised, his eyes filled with sincerity.
Jaeoh nodded slowly. Daniel do not know how else he could convince her but he make a mental note to prove it to her in actions.
"Well, now that we are over talking about that, I guess we need to have a little talk about something else."
Jaeoh's tone sounded serious all of a sudden and Daniel prepared himself if Jaeoh reveals even more. He was afraid to hear that Jaeoh thinks of this relationship differently now even though they had only officially been together for a few hours.
"You see, even though Jackson and I dated for merely a few months, we had even more problems that were not because of his schedules or our little efforts. It's about my oppas."
"Taemin hyung?"
Jaeoh nodded, "Taemin oppa and the rest of the Taemin oppa squad."
Jaeoh recounted the times when Jackson and her were on dates but found out that the squad were following them in secret.
Since Jackson is an idol, they can't go out on normal dates. They tried to be creative by dating in a car, which Taemin had insisted to drive. When they tried going to a private eating room when Taemin was having his schedule, Kai, Timoteo and Jimin showed up out of sudden, saying that it was a coincidence and that they will be joing in too since they were really hungry.
The squad had even asked around about Jackson in private. Sometimes they even joke around with Jackson when they happen to see one another backstage, saying that they will not let him off if he hurt Jaeoh. Even though it was a joke, it felt like it had some seriousness to it.
Jackson also did not join in on any gatherings that Jaeoh had with the Taemin squad. He had felt uncomfortable.
Sungwoon, Taemin and Ravi had even wanted to confront Jackson when they knew they had broken up and had been crying for days, but only stop when they realized it was Jaeoh whom wanted the breakup.
After that incident, all of the Taemin squad had told Jaeoh several times that it is best that she steer clear of any idols.
Hearing that, Daniel gluped.
"So.. do you still wanna take this chance with me?" Jaeoh started, "I mean if you feel that it will be overwhelming, I could understand."
"I promise I will try and I will also try to let the hyungs know me better so that they will know that I will not be the same," Daniel assured Jaeoh, though where he finds his confidence from, Jaeoh did not understand.
"What about interrupted dates? You know my oppas will probably come up with something to stalk us."
"Guess we will just be more creative and improvise if it happens. They just care alot about you, I can tell. I just have to show them that I care about you as much or even more than them."
Jaeoh laughed at how serious Daniel is taking this. She also feel glad that Daniel is willing to try. How could a guy be so perfect? All attractive, understanding and attentive.
Jaeoh was sure that she will put in effort in this relationship this time. She hopes that Daniel is the one for her.
They moved on to talk about Daniel next and even took out a bottle of alcohol to share.
"So she dumped you cause you were bboying too much?"
"Yah, I was really young then, I don't know how to act like a boyfriend!"
"You are not even old now and now you think you can do better?"
"Of cause! I am sure I can and will make you the happiest girlfriend ever!"
They broke into laughters but soon it came to a stop when they heard something like numbers being pressed in.
They turned towards the source of the sound.
"Jaeoh ah! Come help me with these groceries, we will be having BBQ today! I got plenty of your favorite mushrooms!" A voice annouce before the person even walk through the front door.
"Jaeoh ah," the voice called out again as he step through the door, not knowing that Jaeoh and Daniel were frozen by the dining table, caught in surprise, "are you still asleep or are you so surprised that you couldn't come help me? I took time to c-"
"K-KANG DANIEL!?" the person exclaim in shock when he saw Daniel sitting with Jaeoh and dropped his groceries on the floor.
SHIT! Daniel thought, how will they explain this?
