It was just a typical sunday. I was in my room, listening to some music that Dean while I was eating some snacks. I was so bored. Nothing interesting happened in the last week.
Just before I wanted to go downstairs for some soda, I heard something. Like someone broke a vase. But the weird things is, I'm alone in the house.
I grabed the baseball bat that my father gave me on my birthday. Then, I opened the door slowly, trying to not make any noises.
When I entered the living room, I saw a shadow from the kitchen. Someone is here.
As I was thinking for a good plan, I saw that person coming to the living room. When I was about to hit him or her with the baseball bat, I stopped.
"What are you doing with that thing? You want to kill me?"
"You scared me! I thought it's a thief... or worse."
"Well, it's just your old man, so it's worse than a thief or whatever you were thinking."
We both started laughing. I love this man with my whole heart. He saved me when I thought no one could.
Maybe he is not my biological father. But after my parents died, he gaved me everything I ever needed: love.
I miss my parents, I can't lie. Even after 5 years. But I will never change the life I have now. He dedicated his whole life to me.
"I was in the city to buy some things and I saw this. I know you love it."
"You just bought me my favorite movie! I can't believe it!"
He hugged me tight and kissed my temple.
"Well, let's watch it!"
I knew he is going to watch it just because I like it. He hates romantic movies. But he loves to see me happy.
After I pressed play, he put an arm around me and kissed my temple, again. He loves to do that and I love all the attention he gave me when he is home.
I have the best father in the world.
