I sit up suddenly, woken from my slumber. Somethings out of the ordinary. I reach over and grab my bow and stand silently. I hear voices on the other side of my door, then a knock. I clip on my voice modulator,
"the last person to knock on that door didn't walk away," I draw my bow, "do you want to take that chance?"
Silence. I could hear my hearbeat, frankly I was surprised that the people on the other side didn't.
"Mister Ranger, I've got 13 well trained agents here at my disposal. We currently have you surrounded. Why don't you come out and we can have a nice chat?"
Well. At least they don't know my name. Or gender. But I'm surrounded. Shit. I return my arrow to my quiver and press a button on my bow. All my possessions gather into a case. I step out to see 13 guns pointing at me, I narrow my eyes at the man infront of me,
"Is this necessary?"
The man was a chocolate brown with one brown eye, the other was hidden behind an eyepatch. Great. A pirate. Fun. I have to stop talking to myself.
" 'fraid so. We know of your talents Ranger. I'm Nick Fury, I run-"
"S.H.I.E.L.D. Yah. I know." I lean on my bow, "What's that have to do with me? Don't you have your 'super secret boy band' or something?"
He narrows his eye,
"I'm going to have to ask you to come with me. Or we will be forced to use drastic measures."
I roll my eyes. Great. Guess I have to kill him now. Or.......maybe......run away? No. That's stupid.
"Why?"
"That's classified."
"So your going to kill me?"
Silence.
"Fine." I snap.
I pick up my bow and walk toward him. The guns on either side raise. I stop and raise an eyebrow,
"I'm not going to kill him." Then, under my breath, "Yet."
Fury makes a hand movement and turns toward a helicopter. The agents put away their guns. I carefully walk toward the helicopter, minding my bullet wound. I climb on and the copter takes off.
