Ever since hanging out with the boys. (Y/N) began to notice they were around her a lot more at school. She almost never walked alone, as at least one of them was almost always there to accompany her, and all of them talked to her in class more often and in greater quantity. Not to mention she constantly received texts from the group chat.

But (Y/N) noticed that she seemed to be drifting away from her friends. The boys took up all her time at school, and it was almost as if they were trying to keep her away from them. The boys often invited (Y/N) to sit with them at lunch, but (Y/N) knew that she wasn't going to leave her friends hanging.

All (Y/N) knew was that she would never leave her friends for a bunch of guys that she had hardly even gotten to know. Not only that but (Y/N) could sense that more and more girls in the grade began giving her the cold shoulder the more time she spent with any of the guys. But even though many girls seemed to dislike her, she wasn't touched by any of them. (Y/N) didn't know whether Kimi spread the word about how Ryu had "saved" her, or if it was something else, but she was just relieved that she didn't have to worry about being harassed or bullied directly.

(Y/N), however, was starting to feel a bit isolated from everyone else. Because many of the girls straight out ignored her, some of the only girls she talked to were Ayako, Itsumi, and occasionally Emi. Not to mention that most guys that came up to talk to her were either interrupted or driven away by whichever of the boys she was with at that moment.

If she was being honest, the thought that any one of them liked her had crossed her mind, but she didn't want to get her hopes up. They were all attractive and interesting people, whereas she was just an average teenage girl. She wasn't even completely sure of anything with those boys.

So there she sat, thinking over everything that was going on in her life at the moment. (Y/N) had just gotten a call from her parents confirming they would be gone a little longer than expected, and (Y/N) knew that they were probably worried sick for her. Even though she didn't really mind and was staying strong for her parents' sake, (Y/N) couldn't help but sometimes feel lonely after coming home to an empty house every single day.

As (Y/N) looked off into space, she could see a hand wave in front of her dazed face.

"Hello, earth to (Y/N)!"

She blinked and looked over her shoulder to see slightly concerned Yukio.

"Why do you look so worried? It doesn't match your beautiful features." Yukio asked sincerely, and (Y/N) just shook her head.

"It's nothing, I'm just thinking."

The girl had hardly noticed his flirty comments.

Yukio shrugged, "Okay, just making sure you don't get in trouble."

(Y/N) nodded in response as Mr. Kurosawa droned on in the front of the classroom.

When class finally ended, (Y/N) felt so relieved. They were going to have a unit test coming up, so they were reviewing everything they had learned so far. The chemistry class wasn't extremely difficult, it just took some memory.

(Y/N) and Yukio walked out of the class together per the norm, and (Y/N) wasn't at all surprised when Yukio began complaining about how he didn't want to study for everything.

"You won't even have to study that much. The study guide is only three pages." (Y/N) reassured the seemingly stressed white-haired boy.

"I guess." Yukio pouted. He looked at (Y/N) with a sly look on his face. "What if we study together?"

(Y/N) was taken aback by the proposal, but when she thought about it, it really didn't seem like that bad of an idea. Until a certain problem crossed her mind.

"Where exactly would we study?" She asked extremely unsure of the entire situation.

"Well, my house of course! I'll send you the address and what time to come over!" Yukio answered very enthusiastically.

(Y/N) was at a loss, she didn't want to be rude, but she couldn't be too sure with Yukio, especially with his constant flirtatious antics.

Yukio seemed to take notice of this and gave (Y/N) a pat on the head. "Don't worry, my roommates will be there."

(Y/N) looked up at him with a very confused expression. "Roommates?" Was he referring to his family?

Yukio opened his mouth to respond, but it was at that moment when some random boy bumped in (Y/N).

(Y/N) gave a small smile. "Oh, I'm sor-"

She was cut off.

"Watch where you're going, bitch." The boy, who she recognized as one of Kimi's friends, replied resentfully before walking off.

(Y/N)'s face quickly fell, and Yukio looked like he was about to explode with rage.
"That jerk, who fucking talks to people like that." Yukio threatened angrily, but before he could make any move towards the boy, (Y/N) tugged on his arm.

"It's fine, let's just get to class." (Y/N) said with a smile, trying to keep him from doing anything too crazy.

Yukio immediately calmed down at the sight of (Y/N)'s expression, and the duo continued on to class.

As (Y/N) was walking with Yukio in the hallway the next day, she was very surprised to see a crowd surrounding the same boy that had insulted her with an arm in a sling and a bandage wrapped around his head. When she looked at Yukio, he appeared to have not even taken notice.

"Wait, so explain this to me again."

(Y/N) sighed after she had just told Saburo what had happened for what felt like the millionth time. They were currently partnered for an activity in their history class, and although she normally partnered with Takeo, she couldn't help but feel a strong urge to tell Saburo what had just happened in the hallway the day prior. Though it seemed a bit weird since they hadn't been friends for long, (Y/N) told Saburo about almost everything she told her closest friends, including everything going on with Yukio and the other boys. She had just told him how Yukio had invited her to his house and that she was a bit reluctant to go. (Y/N) was considering talking to Takeo on this matter as well, but since he seemed really close with Yukio, she didn't know whether Takeo would tell him about her reservations about studying together.

"What's not to understand, Saburo? Yukio just asked me in the hallway yesterday if I wanted to study with him at his house, and I'm not sure if I should go." (Y/N) responded quite hastily. Not only that, but it was all the more complicated that both Itsumi and Ayako liked him, but she couldn't just mention that to Saburo.

"Yeah, ok..." Saburo answered, scratching his head as if he didn't know what to say. "I don't really think it would be the wisest choice to go, but then again it is sort of a tough decision since it might be weird if you say no just because you think it might be something more... so I think you should just go, but why don't you just leave if you feel uncomfortable at all?" Saburo unsurely suggested, looking at (Y/N) as if to see if he had said the right thing.

(Y/N) gave a small nod, "Yeah, I guess. I just don't want people knowing about it since they kind of already think I'm a bit of a hoe." (Y/N) said as she thought back to how she had recently been treated.

"Oh, and don't take this the wrong way, but have you mentioned this to your other friends?" Saburo inquired with a curious look daunting his features.

(Y/N) hesitantly shook her head, "It's a little complicated, but I just don't think I should tell them right now."

Saburo gave a small look of concern, "Okay. I don't know if your friends have told you this, but I wouldn't become friends with anyone who wants to change you, so I would just keep that in mind." Saburo advised the girl with a very serious expression, then he gave a smile, rubbing the back of his neck nervously, "Sorry if that was too deep for the moment, that was just my earnest opinion."

(Y/N) shook her head. "It's fine, and I appreciate the concern."

Saburo just gave another grin, and they continued on with the work they were given.

When (Y/N) returned to her seat, she noticed Takeo seemed to be giving her a somewhat angry expression.

"Why didn't you partner with me?" Takeo asked with furrowed eyebrows, both in anger and confusion.

"I had to talk with Saburo about something." (Y/N) replied a bit annoyed.

"About what?" Takeo asked, getting more and more irritated by the second.

(Y/N) looked at Takeo with a glare. "Just about something in our music theory class," (Y/N) lied smoothly, "why do you care?"

Takeo didn't appear to know how to answer. "I... don't." He replied after a few moments, and he then turned back to his work.

As class wore on, (Y/N) felt like she had been a little rude, even though he too was acting quite discourteous. She knew that she wasn't going to get anywhere by holding grudges, so she had decided to apologize once class was over. It's not like Takeo would anyway.

When (Y/N) thought about it, she really couldn't blame him for being a bit mad. When she had left to partner with Saburo, she could remember about half the girls in the class practically racing over to him, and he was probably left to partner with some random person he had hardly ever talked to.

So the teacher began a slideshow on notes, and (Y/N) quickly wrote everything down, occasionally sneaking a glance at the clock to determine how much time was left in the class. The seconds seemed to turn into minutes, and the minutes into hours as (Y/N) waited for the bell to ring.

When the bell finally rang and the teacher dismissed them, (Y/N) gathered all of her things. She walked up behind Takeo and gave him a little tap on the shoulder before he could walk away.

Takeo looked back at her, "What?" He asked rather harshly.

(Y/N) opened her mouth and started talking. "Hey, so I'm sorry for not partnering with you, even though it isn't that big of a deal," (Y/N) added the last quietly, "but it probably did suck to work with a random person. And also I apologize for being rude to you when you were asking me all that stuff, but to be fair you kind of started it." (Y/N) apologized while still trying to maintain some of her pride.

Takeo gave the girl an unsure look and sighed, "I'm also sorry for being rude, I guess." Takeo apologized solemnly, "but I will only forgive you on one condition," (Y/N) gulped as thoughts of what Takeo could possibly want flooded her mind, "you have to partner with me from now on, and you have to sit with us at lunch today." Takeo said with a completely serious expression on his face.

(Y/N) stood there with an agape mouth. She was surprised to see that Takeo even wanted to be partners from then on since he often complained about her. But (Y/N) didn't know what to say about sitting with the boys at lunch and practically ditching her friends.

"Isn't that more like two conditions?" (Y/N) asked as she tried to find a way that she could still make amends with Takeo and sit with her friends so that they didn't think she was leaving them for the boys.

"Take it or leave it," Takeo replied with a stoic expression on his face.

(Y/N) thought over her options. Sure he was being rather childish, but she knew that if she refused his offer then Takeo's stubborn self would probably start ignoring her. "Fine, but just for today!" (Y/N) agreed, and Takeo seemed to give just a shadow of a smile.

"Then let's get to lunch," Takeo said as he started walking out of the classroom and to the lunchroom.

(Y/N) followed him out, and when she looked back at Saburo, it looked as though he had a somewhat sad look in his iridescent eyes.
