Vanessa's POV
I OPENED my eyes and saw Axel sleeping beside me. I looked at my right side and figured out it's already evening. I suddenly remembered Eric.
'Is he awake?'
I should check his situation. He's still probably unconscious but . . . I still want to see him.
I carefully got up from my bed — trying not to wake up Axel. I glanced at him and smiled while he's sleeping. He's naked beneath the sheets that's why I pulled the comforter towards his chest and kissed his lips before I go out.
I was about to turn my back and head outside when I almost step on my fucking goddamn phone. Damn it! I looked back at Axel to check if I disturb his sleep and fucking gladly, he's still sleeping!
I'm not afraid to get caught, I just don't want to disturb his sleep. I know he got tired from what we did a while ago and besides . . . I really don't like disturbing other people's sleep.
Because I fucking know what it feels like. Tsk!
I took my phone on the floor. My forehead knotted while staring at it. It probably fell from the bed a while ago. If I am not mistaken, my phone was on the bed a while ago but I guess . . . it fell a few seconds after.
I dressed up and I'm still careful with my movements — scared to wake up my fiancé. I put my phone on my pocket before it rings again. It has been ringing even before Axel and I end up in bed. Tsk. Baka mamaya magising pa siya kapag tumunog ulit.
I slowly opened the door and closed it carefully — parang may pinagtataguan, nang makalabas ako. I went to Eric's room and saw Jamie sleeping on a chair beside Eric's bed.
She got startled when she saw me opening the door that's why she immediately stood up kahit inaantok pa.
"Q-Queen," gulat niyang saad.
I went beside her to take a closer look of Eric who's still unconscious.
"Wala pa rin siyang malay, Queen . . ." ani Jamie habang nakatingin din kay Eric.
Damn whoever shot him! I hope he's fucking burning in hell for what he did to my friend.
"I'm going to pay them for what they did to Eric." I heard Jamie which made me look at her.
"He's dead." I declared. She looked at me. "Axel killed him. He assured me. Patay na ang gumawa nito kay Eric."
Kumunot ang noo niya. "P-paano kayo nakakasiguro, Queen?" Tumaas ang tono niya sa 'kin na kaagad kong napansin.
"Are you doubting me, Salvador?" I hissed when I felt irritation in her tone while asking me.
Umiwas siya ng tingin. "Hindi sa g-gano'n, Queen pero . . ." she bit her lip. "It's probably an organization, Queen. Paano kung . . . paano kung hindi pa tapos ang lahat?"
What?
"Or what if . . . this is a trap? Or a warning?"
"You know the rules, Jamie. Once the leader is dead . . . everybody's dead." I stated in my cold tone.
That's the rule. Sa oras na mamatay ang pinuno ng isang organisasyon, kasabay niyang mamamatay ang organisasyon na binuo niya. They will have no right to fight and continue their doings because their leader is dead kaya para na rin silang namatay.
Unless . . . someone has the same power with the leader; probably passed the throne to someone else but that seems impossible. Everyone's greedy right now . . . walang magbabalak na magpasa ng kapangyarihan o trono sa ibang tao.
"Pero paano kung hindi naman ang pinuno ang pinatay ni Axel?"
Nagkatitigan kami pareho.
'Damn it.'
"Nasaan ang bangkay?"
"Pinaasikaso ko sa ibang tauhan, Queen. Pero narito lamang iyon." I gritted my teeth. "A-anong pinaplano mo, Queen?"
Damn. This is hard. "Lennox's not here and Eric's unconscious . . . how the fuck are we going to check his fingerprint?"
I need to know which fucking organization he belongs to. I have to make sure if he's the fucking leader who committed arson and who tried to kill Eric.
"I know how to do it, Queen." Pigil sa 'kin ni Jamie nang akmang sasabunutan ko ang sarili ko — frustrated due to what's happening to us.
"Eric taught me once . . . kaya, alam ko kung paano gawin 'yon."
Nagkatinginan kami.
I nodded at her. "Then, let's go. We have to check his damn body and fingerprint." She nodded her head and I glanced at Eric.
'We'll be back . . .'
"Queen?"
She called me because it took me seconds while staring at Eric. Mas lalo akong nainis nang makita ang kalagayan ni Eric.
"Cut the fucking finger. Let's see which mafia organization he fucking belongs to." I uttered and looked at her.
Tinanguan niya ako at umalis na ng silid. Akmang aalis na rin ako nang biglang tumunog ang phone ko. My forehead knotted. Who the fuck is this?
I declined the call and went outside but suddenly, I received a message while I was on my way to follow Jamie.

'What the fuck . . .'
My phone rang again and then it fucking hit me. I have a fucking bad feeling about this fucking call but hell! My instincts tell me to answer it and did I.
A chuckle filled my ears.
"Kumusta, Valkedestine? Have you been crying kaya hindi mo masagot-sagot ang tawag ko?" May pangungutya sa tono niya.
I grasped my phone.
"Who the fuck are you?" I gritted my teeth.
He laughed from the other line. "You're asking . . . me?"
I scoffed and chuckled without humor.
"Dumbass. Of course, you're the one I'm asking! Are you that fucking stupid?!" I'm slowly losing my goddamn temper.
Lalo siyang natawa.
"You should calm the fuck down, Valkedestine . . . isa pa lang ang tinitira ko pero hindi ka na mapakali." Pang-aasar niya.
'He's the fucking leader.'
"What the fuck do you want?" I coldly asked but anger is evident in my tone.
He laughed. "Money, of course." I scoffed. As expected. Pathetic asshole. "At . . . gusto ko na rin maghiganti."
"Fucking revenge. The fuck are you talking about, asshole?!"
I suddenly remembered Eric's state which made me blurt out like this. Damn it.
"You killed the Emperor."
Natigilan ako.
'Now who the fuck is this son of a bitch?'
Don't fucking tell me that Emperor has a another son? Oh, come on! I'm so sick of his fucking bloodline!
"And I'm going to make you pay for it."
I laughed hysterically.
"Uh-huh? Really, son of a bitch?" Mapang-asar kong tanong. "Well, fucking news flash asshole. I don't give a shit about your goddamn plans, got that? And I don't fucking care if I killed Emperor. Who fucking cares, by the way? Dumbass!" I cursed him.
Lalo siyang natawa.
"Calm down, Valkedestine . . . si Eric pa nga lang ang tinira ko, nagagalit ka na. What more kung si Salvador pa?" Natigilan ako. "Tsk tsk . . . I can imagine you crying river while begging me to stop killing her." He laughed evilly.
Pinatili kong matatag ang loob ko.
"Listen you motherfucker," I gritted my teeth. "That won't fucking happen because I won't let you hurt her . . . not my organization . . . not my hellacious because I . . . I, the Mafia Queen swears that I will cut your goddamn head off once you do something to my members."
Tumawa siya.
"I better be prepared then . . ." He chuckled.
I smirked. "You better, asshole."
With that, I ended the call.
