you absolutely loved western promotions. it's a different type of vibe that you don't get back home. in other words, lighter restrictions. it's kind of a bummer western talk shows don't give international idols the best coverage when it comes to their promotions..
HANA'S POV -
hearing the incredible crowd made my heart pound. it's an amazing and thrilling experience. i've pretty much watched all of my celebrity crushes on the ellen show but it seemed so much small in person.
i believe it's because they packed in as much audience as they can. but even the set was so much more smaller and intimate.
my thoughts were cut short, "3.. 2.. 1, set" namjoon calls.
"hello we are BTS!" we all say in sync, causing an uproad with the audience.
"welcome to the show!" ellen said. "we have a translator just incase.. but seems like theres already two here?" she continued and pointed at namjoon and i.
we laughed and nodded, "uh yes, we are very fluent in english." namjoon agreed.
"ok well start by introducing yourselves, rm you can go ahead and start." ellen said gesturing for him to start.
"ok well, im rm, the leader of this crew and kind of the spokesperson, alongside my co-spokesperson!" gesturing towards me. i nod at him. in order, taehyung was next.
"hi im v, im so glad to be here." he said doing his known V-eye pose.
"uh hi! im your hope, your my hope. im jhope!" hoseok cheerfully introduces himself, making a heart.
"h-" before we could finish armies went wild. he chuckled and continues, "hi im suga, nice to meet you!" he said smiling, trying to contain his grin.
"hi, im jungkook nice to meet you!" i got more nervous because i was next.
"hello everyone! its so wonderful to see all of your beautiful and handsome faces! i am hana!" i said shyly. ellen seemed to be surprised when i spoke.
"hi im jin!" he then does a pose and continues, "im worldwide handsome." he winks, causing another uproar in the crowd.
"hi im jimin! nice to meet you!" jimin finishes then all of a sudden..
"SARANGHAE!!" an army screamed from the back. everyone bursts out laughing..
"someone said i love you in korean.." namjoon informed ellen.
ellen laughs and jungkook and i do a finger heart at the person.
"you know, hana" i slightly jumped, surprised, eyes wide, until i fix it with a smile. the others saw and begin to laugh.
"y-yes, hello that is my name!" i said nervously, making everyone laugh. you hear slight cheers in the back.
"i never knew you were australian!" ellen says shocked.
"uhh yes! i came from australia.. really beautiful place." i grin, as armys cheer. it's like harmony in my ears.
"so you were taught english by going to school?" ellen asks.
"yes.. it was quite easy since they teach a little english in the philippines." i explain.
"well do you wanna say something in tagalog for your filipino fans?" she asked.
"umm sure!" i said, i was getting a bit comfortable until i was asked to speak tagalog.. im a bit rusty since no one really speaks tagalog with me..
"hello po sa mga pilipino armies! mahal na mahal ko po kayo! salamat po!" "hello filipino armies! i love you guys so much, thank you!" i said shyly. people were in awe and just clapped. ellen smiles and gestures to namjoon.
"and namjoon, i heard you learned english by a show right?" ellen asked.
"uh yes.. friends." he chuckled.
"oh really? was it by choice or.." she asked
"no no, you see it was kind of a syndrome when moms make their kids watch english shows to help them learn english and i was kind of a victim of that." he said jokes, ellen and their audience begin to fill with laughter.
"well, she did well for doing that.." she replies. namjoon nods and chuckles a bit.
"yes, i wanna thank her for doing that." he smiled at her.
"so your fans are called army.. and they truly are an army i mean when yall came it was like 'the Beatles' was here." she jokes making all of us laugh. "the airport almost shut down." she explained to us.
"they really are huge.. i mean theres so many of them, were glad to consider them family." you explained, the audience cheers.
"well in the years being with army.. have you ever had an extra friendly encounter with them..?" ellen said wiggling her eyebrows.
"like a hug or picture?" i asked, confused. 'what was she implying?', i thought to myself.
"no i mean have you ever hooked up with any army?" ellen asked chuckling.
namjoon and i just froze and looked at each other and started laughing. the other members picked up a little but was still confused.
"i mean we are right now.." namjoon said looking at the armies, trying to save the moment.
"no you know what i mean, i mean have you ever dated any of your armies?" she said. she then told the translator to translate. while he was translating we were laughing.
"oh come on tell them what hooked up means!" ellen said tapping the translator.
namjoon and i just lost it and started laughing our butts off. then taehyung says something.
"we'd nev- not, no!" taehyung said rising his hand to defend himself. ellen lost it too and started laughing.
"ok we got a little something for you guys as a thank you for being on the show, after the commercial we have BTS performing their song DNA and MIC DROP." she explained while andy comes out with friends merch. we all look over at the items and show it to the camera.
