There were two chairs and a couch in the room by the bed. Of course, Adam and I fought about who to take the couch. I wanted to sit near mom while he wanted me to take the couch to relax. In the end, we both slept on the chairs.
I woke up to find my bones are broken or something. Sleeping on the chair was a terrible idea.
She is still sleeping, she looks so peaceful like that but I hope that she wakes up soon. Adam is still sleeping too. He looks so cute, I am so lucky to have him.
I decided to go get two cups of coffee for us when the door opened. It was Mr. Tray... And Charlie.
What is he doing here?
"Good morning," Mr. Tray said with his usual smile.
"Good morning, sir"
"What's going on here?" Adam said.
"Rise and shine, perfecto," Charlie said.
"I can still break your head in a hospital," Adam said, "and it will be easier for you, they will cure you fast"
"Seriously, Adam," I said.
"He started," Adam said.
"What did I do?" Charlie replied.
"Enough," I said, "What are you even doing here, Charlie?"
"I came to make sure that Mrs. Otis is fine"
"To make sure if you killed her or not," Adam muttered.
"Excuse me," Charlie said.
"How do we know that you didn't do all of this?"
Charlie was about to shout when I spoke, "You know what, this is getting ridiculous," I said full of anger, "you can continue this outside, but not here with my mother on the edge of death"
They could kill each otherwith their eyesr but they didn't say another word.
"How is she?" Mr. Tray asked still with a smile.
"As you can see, she is still sleeping but the doctor told us that she won't wake up, now"
"I hope that she recovers, soon," he said.
"I hope so, too, sir," I said then looked at her, "I hope so, too"
"Well, we will leave you, now," Mr. Tray said, "stay strong"
He left but Charlie remained, "I warned you," he said, "but as usual, you don't listen"
"What does that suppose to mean?" Adam asked.
"See ya around, I hope," Charlie told me then left.
"What does that suppose to mean, Nancy?" Adam said.
"If you think that what you have been doing since he arrived is right then you are out of your mind," I said then left.
Adam is being ridiculous; Charlie couldn't do all of this. Or am I being ridiculous for trusting someone who I barely know?
I felt someone holding my elbow then I was face to face with Adam.
"Don't leave me like that, again"
I can't breathe.
"I am not going to lie, Nancy," he continued, "I am a jealous person especially from people like Charlie"
"So you think that saying those things will make things better"
"Were you never jealous before?"
"You are my first boyfriend"
"You said boyfriend," he smiled.
I blushed, I can't breathe again.
"This is the first time you say it in front of me"
"Why don't we get some coffee?" I said or whispered.
His smile widened, "good idea," then, he winked, "girlfriend"
I think that I died for a second.
We went, got our coffees then returned to mom's room. She was still sleeping.
After a few seconds, Dr Bayliss came.
"Good morning"
"Good morning, doctor"
"So, how is my patient today?" He said going to mom.
"Normal," I said.
He checked her up then turned to me, "can I talk to you a little?"
"Sure," I said then we went outside.
"I am so sorry," he said, "Somehow, what happened was my fault, too. I shouldn't have lied especially when I know that there is a kidnapper on the leach"
"It's okay, what happened happened, doctor? The most important thing now is her health"
"True that," he said, "she will return to our world, soon"
"I hope so, doctor"
"What did he want?" Adam asked once I entered.
"What? You are jealous from him, too"
He raised an eyebrow and remained silent.
I took out my phone that I didn't open from yesterday to find a message from him.
"He sent again," I told Adam.
"What?" Then, he ran to me and I opened the text.
"Help me I don't know where am I but we are all here help me Nance help us he is"
"Sh... She is speaking to me," I whispered, "but how? How did she get his phone?"
"He probably forgot his phone and she found it," Adam said with great emotion, "it is obvious because she didn't continue what she was going to say"
"If she didn't continue then how did she send it?" He asked
"Maybe, she felt him coming so she sent it quickly or something," I replied, "the bastard came before she could write his name"
"Hey, there"
It was Officer Thorne.
"May I come in?"
"Of course, officer"
"You came on time," Adam said.
"What happened?" He asked.
I showed him the message.
"It's good to know that they are alive,"Officer Thorne said, "we will have to find that kidnapper, now"
"Hope that we can find him soon"
"There is no we, Nancy," Officer Throne said pointing at myself and him, "we will find her, you will wait"
"Of course"
"I am not kidding," he said.
"Never said you were, sir"
"Now the most important things are that your mother and Mr. Victor regain their consciousness. They will tell us everything"
"I can understand Mr. Victor but how could Mrs. Otis help us?" Adam asked.
"Mom was stabbed from the front, not the back, which means that she saw who stabbed her," I explained, "plus, she lied to do something, something that had to do with the kidnapper"
"Do you know how Mr. Victor is?" I asked Officer Throne.
"He is getting better but still asleep like your mother"
"I will leave you, now but come by the station to give us that evidence.
"Sure, sir," then he left after hoping that mom will return to her health.
"We aren't going to stop, are we?"
I smiled, "what do you think?"
"That's my girl"
I had no time to blush or smile. Now, there is something more important. Andy, she is alive and she is waiting for me.
