MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

-Sian

"I don't think anything will happen," Kaiden mumbled.

"Well, I- even if nothing does happen, it will be nice to share-"

"Why?" Kaiden watched how he edged closer with flustered cheeks. He fought against admitting that they made him look sweet.

"Why not? We will kiss at some point, and now is a great time."

"Is it?"

Milokan gently shook his head.

"Is it so hard to give a simple answer? I would like to know what you are truthfully thinking for once; I hardly think it is fair to pretend and-"

The angel's voice cut off when a pair of warm lips touched his. His heart stopped, as did his breathing. Kaiden, partly to shut him up, had kissed him, but the moment their lips skimmed together, he lost any trail of thought, and his heart almost exploded. His face felt like it was pulsating when his nose pressed up against him, but the angel didn't kiss him in return. The demon pulled back with a frown.

"This was your idea-" Milokan silenced him when he gripped his cheeks and pushed their faces back together. This time, they both kissed each other, and the warmth in their chests intensified instantly. For once, they shared the same level of affection. Kaiden closed his eyes when Milokan melted against him and wrapped his arms around his shoulders. He tightened his grip on his waist, subconsciously wanting him as close as possible.

The kiss was very gentle as the angel clumsily followed the demons slow actions. Kaiden lost any thoughts and only focused on the taste, scent, and comfort of his soulmate. It felt incredible, and he honestly expected it to be awkward and uncomfortable. For them both, it felt so right to share such a moment.

When Milokan dug his fingers into the back of Kaiden's hair, the demon let out a little growl of satisfaction. The angel pulled back with a frown. His eyes leaked passion.

"Why did you do that?" he whispered, there was only a centimetre between their lips.

"I- never mind." He didn't want to kill his innocence just yet, but a wave of desire had washed through him so suddenly when Milokan tugged on his hair, it dominated his actions, and he would have kissed him harder if Milokan didn't pull away.

The angel then pressed his forehead against Kaidens, forgetting that he is a demon, ignoring that their relationship is rocky, and concentrated on the moment.

"That was wonderful!" he breathed. "I never thought my first kiss would be with a demon."

"That was your first kiss?" Kaiden was already trying to distract himself from what they just shared. It is evident that it had changed them both. How could he possibly snap at him, or reject his touch when they were now growing so intertwined? Their souls danced with each other, he could feel it within him.

"Yes, who else do you suppose I have kissed?" Milokan pulled back, and his heart flopped when Kaiden was looking a little loved up, but he cleared his throat and diverted his gaze to the rocks. Kaiden frowned when Meloras and Jeronah were no longer there, he was so caught up in the kiss that he forgot his surroundings.

"I don't know," he mumbled and gently uncoiled his arms from around his waist after noticing Meloras looking through the toiletries behind them. She didn't say anything and pretended not to notice, but she was thrilled and excited for him. He was changing for the better, and she never thought she would see the day.

Milokan stood up when he noticed the demon's attention altering. His head was in a messy daze, and he caught Jeronah giving him a wide grin, which caused his cheeks to heat up once more. He looked down and found Kaiden staring at his blush, which he felt spreading across his face. His wings burst free when strong emotions flowed through him.

"Hm, I shall- uh," he started edging backwards when Meloras could no longer hide her smile too. "I am going to the water."

"I'll come." Kaiden climbed to his feet and scowled at his mother. He grabbed the shampoo before stomping over to the angel, grabbing his elbow and dragging him to the shore. Milokan hurried at his pace, enjoying the soft splatter of the wet sand as they walked closer to the sea.

"Why were you so awkward?" Kaiden sighed and pulled off his jacket.

"I am not sure. Maybe a kiss is more personal than I thought."

Kaiden then pulled off his t-shirt and Stretched his arms, letting his shoulder blades relieve some of the pain and itching sensations on his back. Milokan studied the pink scars, and his excitement mellowed. The entire area of his back was covered in bumpy, broken, and damaged skin. The most recent scars had ruptured old ones. The angel could tell they had been agony to experience.

When Jeronah saw them, he turned and covered his mouth, holding his gasp and shock.

"My goodness," he breathed, not daring to look again, knowing he will cry. "My poor child."

Meloras hurried to his side and rubbed his arm, aware that it was too risky to comfort him adequately.

Kaiden crouched by the shore and thought about taking off the rest of his clothes so he could wash the rest of his body, not just his hair. The water tickled his toes until he felt a soft stroking motion over his back. He turned to see Milokan standing next to him, feeling the demon's frustration and knowing it was due to his injuries.

"I am not sure what will help, but I can relieve some of the itchings if you would like me to."

The demon enjoyed his touch, and how could he refuse? Maybe, the kiss did change them. He marched up the beach to get something to wash his body but stopped, and Milokan walked into him.

"Why did you do- that..." Milokan followed his glare and found himself watching the demon comforting Jeronah. She was whispering soothing words and squeezing his hands. As soon as Meloras noticed him, she lept back with wide eyes.

Jeronah spun, and Milokan saw the pain in his eyes.

"What the hell is going on?" Kaiden growled through gritted teeth. He looked furious.

"Kaiden, nothing is-"

"Don't you dare lie to my face!" he roared. Milokan jumped at his loud voice. "I am so fed up with you! Why are you so secretive? Why have you been avoiding my questions? Who is he!?" Kaiden pointed a fierce finger at Jeronah.

"Kaiden, please-"

"Who am I?" he continued to yell, and his eyes turned black. "What the hell is going on with you? I know you've been lying to me about who you are, and why we are so different. I never thought you'd keep it from me now, especially when our lives are changing and I'm changing for him!" Kaiden patted the side of Milokan's head, and the angel stumbled on the sand. "Now, Jeronah comes along, and you act all weird around him. You barely even know the guy! Or do you? I don't know because you never tell me anything-"

"HE'S YOUR FATHER!" Meloras screamed, instantly muting her son's angry words.

The silence was so loud. Kaiden could almost hear his heartbeat as it threatened to crack through his ribs. His eyes were so wide and crazed, Milokan hated seeing how far they had strayed from what they once looked like, only moments ago.

"He-He's your dad." Meloras let out a breath, and her posture collapsed. The relief swarmed her, but she was incredibly emotional. Kaiden was not aware that he stopped breathing until he opened his mouth to speak, but closed it when there were no words to greet his tongue. "Jeronah is-"

"Shut up," he whispered. "Just- shut up." He ran a hand through his hair, and it trembled with the abrupt transition of his emotions.

"I will explain!" Meloras stepped closer; her voice was frail, not strong enough to shout for fear of angering her son further. "Please, just let me explain."

Jeronah could only keep his eyes on Kaiden, ignoring the wide eyes of Milokan and the utter disbelief. Everything was broken, and it was entirely his fault.

"Son, it is not your mothers-"

"No!" Kaiden growled and stepped back. "Don't talk to me; you're lying!"

He was starting to breathe heavier. Nothing was processing.

"It's true!" Sobbed Meloras. "Everything I've just said! Jeronah is my soulmate, and he's your-"

"SHUT UP!" Kaiden yelled, he felt like he would faint from anger. He could barely even look at her. "I-I can't hear any more of your lies."

Milokan heard the misery in his voice and reached out to grip his wrist, but as soon as he tried, the demon vanished.

"Kaiden no!" Meloras whined and sank to the sand, defeated by her own self-pity.

Kaiden landed so abruptly that he stumbled straight into a tree. He fell onto the leaves and stared emotionlessly into the sky. Immediately after he vanished, he wished he took Milokan with him. He couldn't shake the feeling that his comfort was all he needed, but playing around and around in his mind was his mothers cries.

"HE'S YOUR FATHER!"

Kaiden sat up with such a troubled frown; he could barely breathe.

"No," he whispered and buried his face in his palms, "there's no way."

Milokan suddenly flashed in front of him and fell forwards, hitting his face against the demon's knee. Kaiden lifted his head when Milokan winced but put the pain aside.

"Are you okay?" he questioned while rubbing his head. "I am so shocked, and I cannot believe the news!"

Kaiden stared at him, the angel's aura instantly smothered him, and his eyes grew watery. The demon looked away and clenched his jaw, not wanting to get upset.

The first glimpse Milokan saw of his teary eyes, he reached forward and cupped Kaiden's face.

"I am confused about the situation, but I know that you have every right to be upset." The angel rested his body against him when Kaidens lips trembled. He couldn't bear it. "Do not be afraid to cry. I will look after you."

Kaiden shook his head and swallowed the lump in his throat.

"I-I don't want to believe it," he whispered.

"I understand why Jeronah is familiar to me now. He looks like you."

Kaiden furrowed his eyebrows, and the tears were too much to keep back. He choked on the words that wouldn't come out and pushed his face into Milokan's shoulder, crying with sorrow for the first time in years.
