"y/n, are you sleeping? wake up now or detention!" mr. feeder yelled.
"I'm sorry mr. feeder it's just I didn't get a lot of sleep last night." you confessed.
"i understand. just try not to do it again please."
you nodded, secretly rolling your eyes. you hated school so much, you just wanted it to be over with.
as you put your head on the desk, the classroom door slams shut.
"well, grayson, you finally decided to show up to class." mr. feeder said.
"nah my mom forced me to come to this shit hole." he laughed.
he sat down on the chair right next to yours. plopping his backpack down on the floor, he looked at you.
you didn't know what it was but every time he looked at you, his face as well as his emotions soften.
what you also didn't know was that grayson had the biggest crush on you since 4th grade. now, you guys are seniors and his feelings towards you have only grown.
you were clueless of this. as much of his rudeness to your peers turned you off, you still secretly liked him.
"h-hi y/n.." he whispered, his cheeks colored an adorable pink.
"uhm, hi?" you replied.
"y-your hair looks very pretty to-day." he whispered.
"thanks grayson." you said.
"y/n, grayson! stop mingling, will you?" mr. feeder exclaimed.
"no, you can't tell us what to do." grayson yelled.
"grayson.. no." you whispered, softly touching his thigh.
he flinched. he wasn't used to this much attention from you. he admired it so much. he smiled at you and nodded.
"i apologize, mr. feeder." he sincerely said.
everyone's eyes widened as well as mr. feeder's. grayson has never been nice to anyone but you. you smiled that he listened to you.
*later that day*
you were eating your pb&j sandwich by yourself. this wasn't the only day you ate by yourself, and you didn't mind it.
"move out of my way, nerds!" you heard from across the room.
you turned around, seeing grayson running towards you with the biggest smile on his face.
"hi y/n. i got you these." he said with a little giggle.
he handed you a bag of sour straws and salt and vinegar chips.
"awe grayson! thank you so much." you said.
"say that again." he said.
"say what again?" you asked.
"my name. i love when you say my n-name." he admitted.
"hahha, grayson, you are so cute." you said.
"you think I'm cute?!" he yelled-whispered.
you nodded, smiling.
"well, I think you're even cuter." he replied.
