" Look I never wanted to be apart of this stupid ass plan anyways ! How about you do this shit and just leave me and my baby alone " I yelled
" Bitch quit the act ! As soon as you saw him with Hennessy on his arm you was coming to me crying your eyes out . You was ready to do damage so I helped you . Don't ever think you getting out this plan " ??
" Whatever. You just don't forget to give me my half of the money or I'm going to the cops and telling them everything and how you said you would kill my baby if I didn't go alone " I said getting up walking out of the house
I don't know what I got myself into but I wish I hadn't . I miss being on Roman's good side when he was there for me. He was my first love and one of my bestfriends and I turnt against him over a half a million dollars. Don't get me wrong that was a lot of money but I didn't want to see him dead behind it. I got in my all white Audi and pulled off headed home. I just hope god watch over me and protect me and my little one.
Roman's POV
I was up early at the warehouse. I had to get on getting them a bodyguard first thing in the morning so they could be with them all day everyday starting today. I didn't even wait for Aug and Q to get up I had to get on this especially since I know they following Hennessy and know what she drive. I called up 3 of the workers who been working beside Ant since a teenager. I sent Hennessy a text before I got down to business.

" Imma get straight to the point cause I know it's early as fuck " I said handing each one of them a vanilla folder " I'm taking yall out of the warehouse and assigning yall as bodyguards. In the folder there are pictures. A picture of who you will be protecting, what they drive, and who they are. These 3 girls are Hennessy Kindell and Nadia . Hennessy is Ant's daughter and Kindell is his niece. I need yall to make sure they never leave y'all eyesight and nothing happens to them. For the most part yall will be together. They stay together and go to school together but sometimes they be apart. Just keep an eye on your assigned person. I'm paying yall $3,000 a week . We got a deal ?" I said pulling on my chin hair

I let them go on about their day and decided to gone get a head start on my work. I assigned Pete to Hennessy since he was the closest one to Ant, assigned Aaron to Kindell, and Scott to Nadia. I made a mental note to tell them about it so it wouldn't freak them out if they paid attention enough to even know someone was following them. Which I doubt since she ain't see them taking pictures of her. I thought about what she said last night about being a drug dealer. I was thinking about teaching her some stuff not to put her in this shit but just in case shit went down I wouldn't have to be so worried. I went into the warehouse part and open up the safe to get the money from last week profits to count and separate. I grabbed the two bags out the safe and took the elevator up to my office. I pulled out the paperwork with the sales on it and starting putting money inside the counter machine. I was writing numbers down when I heard my office door open. I looked up to see my niggas walking in.
" My nigga what the fuck bro ? You left us and we rode there with you. We had to call an Uber to take us to get my car." Q said dapping me up
" It's some going on you up early again . What's good fool " Aug said dapping me up
" Remember I showed yall that note" they nodded " Well look at this shit." I gave them my phone and showed them the messages I got this morning

" Shit ion know if they followed her to the store or just happened to been seen her at the store. Either way it go I know they probably followed her back to they crib tho ." I said
" Even though they probably followed her they still don't know what exact apartment" Q said
" True but I hired them some bodyguards so that's taken care of for right now " I said writing down more numbers
" Good shit . So that's why you here early ." Aug said making me nod

" We gone play it cool until they really do some or we get more information. These just threats. Shit could be just a joke somebody doing to through me off. Ion wanna make a move to soon and it be the wrong move and cost us everything. Just keep ya eyes and ears open to the streets cause they gone talk." I said making them nod

My phone vibrated and I looked at it thinking it would be these unknown mutherfuckers but it was my sweet sweet Hennessy.
Hennessy POV
I woke up to an empty bed and a text message. I smiled cause I liked how he always made sure to keep me updated on his whereabouts . I went to go do my morning hygiene before I texted him back .

I walked downstairs and I was the first one up. I decided to make a small breakfast for us. I took out everything I would need as I hook my iPad up to my beats pill and let pandora play. My phone vibrated in my back pocket and I checked it .

I took the bacon out of the oven and off the pan placing them on the napkins to drain the grease . My song came on and I started to feel myself .

I finished cooking the food and went to see if we had anymore orange juice. We were out of the simply orange but we had a case of the daffy duck kind. I took out three and sat them on the counter. I took out the paper plates and like always they were down right on time .

" I don't know Roman text me and told me date night tonight so I guess we're going out." I said smiling
" We always do shit together so you guys can have that. I think I want to go to the aquarium." Kindell said making us look at her crazy
" You wanna go to the aquarium?" We asked laughing
" Akikiki actually I don't but August has his nieces today and he's letting me meet them along with the other family." She said smiling

" I remember my first time meeting the family . It was sad since he was telling them I needed a place to stay cause I was getting abuse but they were nice people " Nadia said making us laugh
" Well Roman doesn't have anyone but his sister and we've met but we don't talk." I said
" What happened to his mom ? I thought she was around." Kindell asked
" She was but she moved away with her new husband when Roman turnt 19 so last year." I said

" You really need chill out with all this damn quoting this morning " I said laughing
We washed up the few dishes we used before we sat in the living room watching re-runs of Love and Hip-Hop New York. I was scrolling through IG when I saw a picture of Bee. What made me roll my eyes was her caption. It said : 4 down 5 to go 👣💪🏾❤️. I'm going to love you forever since your daddy don't want you . She was such a bitter bitch. She knew Roman was gone handle his responsibility he told her that she was just bashing him because he wasn't there now but she fucked that up. I hated a bitch like that. I double tap the picture and kept scrolling . I heard Kindell call my name .
" what ?" I looked up from my phone
" Think Roman got some more weed ?" She asked
" I don't know . I'll go check his jacket though" I said getting up
I walked upstairs to my room and picked up his jacket and checked his pockets . I didn't find any weed but I found a balled up piece of paper.

I reread the note over and over . Who would send him this ? How long did he have this ? Why didn't he tell me ? Is somebody after him ? Is somebody after me ? I pulled out my phone sending him a text before I got myself ready to go back downstairs.

I told them I couldn't find any and we continued to watch TV. My mind kept drifting back to the note. Was it the Cubans coming back to finish him off ? He told me Pedro escaped but they killed all of his men. I just hope whoever it was he had it under control. I felt my phone vibrate and I checked it.

Roman's POV
I was in the middle of bringing in the new package for this week when I saw Hennessy texting my phone about the note . Why the fuck was she in my jacket pockets anyway. I texted her back and continued doing what I was doing . I hope she didn't tell the other girls about it because I didn't need them calling every 10 minutes cause they felt something was wrong just because they knew something was up. I was more than ready to get home and talk to her and tell her about everything .
August POV
I left the warehouse early today because I was getting my nieces for the day. It was 11:30 and I told Chandra I would be there by noon to pick them up. I went by the apartment to pick up Kindell . I texted her and told her I was outside. When she came down she was looking cute as fuck. She had on a long sleeve white shirt and some dark jeans with a Louis Vuitton belt, headband , shoes, and purse. Her hair was straight and flowing down her back.
" hey " She said getting into the car
" wassup " I said before leaning over and kissing her
I pulled off and headed towards my mama house. When we pulled up I was about to get out when I saw her looking down at her feet.
" You iight ?" I asked picking her head up by her chin
" I'm cool . Just a li nervous " She said
" Don't be" I said before getting out
I unlocked the front door and I saw Mya, Kay, and Chay sitting on the sofa .
" Uncle Aug !" They all said running and hugging my legs
" Wassup my li babies " I reached down to hug them
" Who's this Uncle Aug? She's really pretty." Kay said making Kindell smile
" See this right here is my girlfriend Kindell " I put my arm around her " Kindell these are my nieces Mya, Kay, and Chay" I pointed to them
" Hey Kindell !" They all said
" Hey girls " She said smiling and waving
" Did I hear the G word come from in here " Chandra came around the corner
" Hey ma . Uncle Aug has a girlfriend and her name is Kindell " Kay said
" Hey Kindell I'm Chandra, August's sister in law " she said hugging her

" She's in the kitchen " She said leading us there
When we walked in the kitchen my mama was standing over the stove stirring something in a pot. I walked over and put my arm around kissing her cheek.
" How ya doing old lady ?" I asked
" Old ? Boy I can be your sister " she said making everybody laugh " So this is the famous Kindell" she walked over to her
" Yes ma'am and you must be the famous Sheila . I heard a lot about you and it's really nice meeting you" Kindell said hugging her
" You too dear. So tell me a little about yourself " my mama said bringing her to sit at the table
" Okay well I'm 20 years old. I attend CAU majoring in cosmetology. Hoping to open my own beauty bar with my cousin. I share a 3 bedroom apartment with my cousin and my bestfriend and I have no kids ." She said making them laugh at the end part
" What you don't like kids ?" My mother asked
" Oh no I love kids. It's just too early to be having any of my own. I wanted to wait until I graduate school and get my business up and running. Also I don't want to be sharing a place when I do have kids" She said making them laugh again
" Hmm she's pretty, has her head on right, and she has a sense of humor. I like her " Chandra said holding the the thumbs up to me
" Me too . Like her even better when yall have me some more grandkids." My mama said making us laugh
" I think Mya,Kay, and Chay is enough right now. Don't forget Travis has one on the way too ." I said
" It's never enough grandkids. That's what keeps us old folk going " she said making us laugh again
" Uncle Aug can we go now ? I'm ready to use my outside voice " Kay walked in the kitchen
" Girl go play with your sisters we're having a conversation." Chandra said
Hennessy POV
It was going on 12:30 and Kindell had not too long ago left so it was just me and Nadia . We were sitting on the sofa watching The Crazies. When some crossed my mind .
" How have you dealt with Q being in this dope game ?" I asked
" What you mean ? " she asked turning to face me
" Like how do you deal with it ? How do you not stress or worry about him ?" I asked
" Oh I stress and worry all the time . I just pray and asked god to watch over him and bring him back home to me every night . But I know Q can handle his self . He hadn't give me any reason these 6 months we've been together to think he couldn't ." She said
" It's like since my parents died over this same shit it puts fear in me that no one is ever safe in this business. You never know who's watching you and what's on there mind ." I said
" That's true. That's why I pray and leave it to God . I keep my faith in god and he bring him home every night ." She said
" I think me and Roman are going to start going to church every Sunday. To get closer to god you know ?" I said
" That's a good idea. Is everything okay ?" She asked
" Oh Yea . It's just since he been shot I worry a lot " I lied
" He's going to be fine Hennessy. No one else is going to leave you." She said
" You're right. I'm going to go take a nap. Sleep this feeling off ." I said getting up walking upstairs
" Love you" she yelled after me

I closed my room door and got under my covers. All I can think about was that note . Tears started to fall down my face . I wish this dope shit would just go away. It has taken away my parents and it's putting the love of my life in danger. I looked over to the China cabinet that had the vases that held my parents ashes in them . I looked at all the pictures of us. I didn't want to have to add Roman to that cabinet. I silently cried as I fell asleep.
Kindell's POV
We were in the car heading towards the bowling alley. We were going to save the aquarium for last .
" Kindell my mom said you know how to do nails can you do our nails one day ." Kay asked me
" Sure I could paint and design them real pretty for you guys ." I said
" Yayyyy !!!" They all yelled making me laugh
" I want mines to be pink " Kay said

" And I want blue " Chay said

We pulled up to the bowling alley and park. We walked in and to the desk to pay and to get our shoes. The girls were so excited and full of energy. We walked to our lane and we out on our shoes while August set up the lane and put our names in .
Roman's POV
It was 3:00 in the afternoon when me and Q made it to the apartment. The house was quiet so I knew they had to be sleep. I grabbed me a bottle of water out the fridge then headed upstairs to Hennessy room. I pushed the door open and walked in. I seen her laying under the covers . Our date wasn't until tonight at 8 so I had time to join her and take a nap. I was tired as fuck . I stayed up all night and been at the warehouse since 6. I pulled the covers back and climbed in the bed next to her. I wrapped my arms around her and she started to move around before she got back comfortable. I was about to shut my eyes when I heard her speak .
" why you didn't tell me ?" She asked
" Honestly I didn't want you to be worried love . I still don't I have everything under control " I said rubbing up and down her back
" Is someone after you " She asked
" I don't know . It could be just a joke Bee playing on me or some " I said
" I'm scared Roman " She said tighten up her grip on my torso
" Don't be . If anything I got you . I also hired yall a bodyguard for when we not around. You remember Pete ?" I asked and she nodded " Well if you see someone following you in a black Cadillac truck it's him" I said again
" What about you ?" She asked looking up at me
" I'm good iight ? I got Aug and Q with me 24/7 " I said and she nodded again
We sat in silence before we both drifted off to sleep.
August POV
We were letting the girls bowl while we sat down and talked waiting for the food to arrive. We ordered pizza,wings, and slushes.
" Thanks Aug" she said
" Thanks for what ?" I asked
" For letting my meet your family. They're really nice people and I could tell the all love you so much " She said
" Naw Thank you for being that one a nigga let his family meet. They been real picky about who I bring home every since my last girl " I said laughing

The food came back and we called the girls over to eat. I looked at my watch and it was only 3:30. We had to be at the aquarium at 5 since they close at 8.
" Uncle Aug at school I made so many friends this year" Kay said biting into her pizza

" Kindell do you have friends ?" Chay asked her
" I do " she nodded " I have two good friends " she said siping her drink

It was a picture of them I took in Cuba. They were in there swimsuit and sitting on the edge of the pool. Kindell was sitting in the middle with arms around them and they all was laughing .
" They're really pretty" Kay said

Q's POV
It was going on 6:00 and I had just woke up from my nap. Me and Nadia were going over to my mom's tonight she said she had something important to tell us . I woke her up and went to go take a shower. When I got out I saw her getting her outfit ready and going into the bathroom. I got dressed and headed downstairs. I saw Roman on the phone . I went back upstairs to get Nadia keys to the car . I called my mom letting her know we were on the way. Nadia came downstairs dressed in a black shirt with red roses on it, a black leather skirt, and some black shoes with the roses on them. She had the matching bag with the roses on it too . Her hair was pulled into a bun on the top of her head. She looked good as fuck. We headed out the door behind Roman.
Hennessy POV
I heard the front door open and close . I turnt over and looked at the alarm clock on my nightstand and it was 6:45. I got and walked to the bathroom and I seen a note on the mirror.
Wear something warm . A car will be outside for you at 8:00 on the dot so don't take all day - Roman
I smiled . I cut the shower on and went back into the room to find me something else to where . I decided on putting on my all black off the shoulder long sleeve knee-high dress with my black knee high boots. I wrapped my hair up and went to go take a shower. When I got out it was 7:15. I sat at my vanity and started on my face. I was about to text the group chat to see how things were going with them but I decided to just wait until we link up to have some to talk about.
Kindell's POV
We were walking around the aquarium looking at all the different species of fish. The girls were walking in front of us and we were behind them walking hand to hand . The girls wanted to take a picture with me so I gave August my phone to take us one. Then I gave it to a lady to take us one together. I was looking at the pictures and me and August actually would look good as a family . We continued on walking around the aquarium until it was 8 and they were closing
Nadia's POV
We pulled up to Ms Garcia house and parked in the driveway. We got out and went to knock at the door. She opened it with a big smile on her face .
" I'm so glad you guys made it " She said hugging us
" Of course mom we wouldn't miss one of your big dinners " Q said
" Nadia you're still as beautiful as ever " she said touching her hair

" Okay so there's someone I want you guys to meet. " she started walking towards the kitchen
Hennessy POV
I was finished getting ready and then the doorbell rung. I walked downstairs to open the door and there was a man in a suit holding a sign with my name on it. I followed him downstairs to a black limo. He open the door for me and I got in . When I got in there was a note taped to the backseat .

I reached under the seat and pulled out a small black box. It was some earrings that matched the ring he got me last month. I closed the box and stuck it inside my purse . I sat back and enjoyed the ride .
Q's POV
When we made it to the kitchen there was a man and a girl sitting at the table. Nadia looked at me and I looked at my mom .
" Quinten this is your father Quincy and your sister Selena ." my mom said making them stand up
" Hello Son " He said standing up
I was looking at the man and I instantly got mad . Here he was standing in my mom's kitchen 20 years later with a girl who's supposedly is my sister . My mom noticed my face expression and she introduced them to Nadia . I walked out the kitchen and went to the patio in the backyard. I heard the door open and closed and I felt someone standing next to me . I looked back and I seen him. I really wasn't up for anything he had to say.
Hennessy POV
The 45 minute ride finally came to an end. The man opened the door and I looked around and I was at the downtown park entrance. I was confused until the man handed me another note.
Follow the rose petals through the park and where they end your date starts. - Roman
I smiled at the note . Roman really put a lot of though into this date. I followed the white Rose petals all the way to the back of the park where the water was . When I made it to the bridge there was a boat there . I walked to the boat where there was a guy standing with a hat on. He helped me onto the boat and pointed to the right . I walked until I seen Roman standing there in an all black dress shirt, black slacks, and some black Gucci dress shoes.
I ran to him and he picked me up spinning me around .
" This is so beautiful Roman " I said smiling
" Glad you like it . Come on " He said walking off to inside the boat
When we walked inside there a table set for two. There was soft music playing in the background and there were people dressed up as butlers and waiters. He pulled my chair out for me before he sat down. I looked around taking the scenery in.
" This is really nice . Where did you have the time ?" I asked
" I always have time for you." He said licking his lips " Did you like the earrings" he asked
" Loved them . I like how you got them to match the ring " I said holding my finger up
" Yea I got style . You like that huh ?" He said pulling on his beard

Kindell POV
It was going on 8:30 and we were getting ready to drop the girls off at home. They were in the back seat sleep. I really enjoyed my night with them, they were some good girls. I was looking at all the pictures and videos from today with them and August. I looked over at August and he was looking at me .
" what ?" I asked smiling
" You had fun ?" He asked
I nodded my head " You're blessed August "
" Yea I know . I just wish Mel was still here to see them all grown up. " He said
" You here and Mel is in you ." I said touching his hand
We pulled into the drive way and I helped August get the girls out. He picked up Chay and Mya and I picked up Kay since she was the smallest. Chandra opened the door before we even made it to it . We walked in and upstairs to lay them down in their room.
Q's POV
" I know you're angry but just hear me out " He said walking and standing next to me
" For what ? What can you possible say that can make up for 20 years ?" I asked
" Listen Quinten I -"
" It's Q " I said cutting him off
" I was in Jail . I've been in Jail since you were 5 months old. I had 25 years and I got out 2 weeks ago on good behavior. I never meant to leave you and your mom out here hanging but when they busted me at my place they took everything. There's was nothing I could do but sit and do time . I wrote letters but your mom told me it would be a good idea if I didn't . She didn't want you to know what I was doing so you wouldn't get the idea and do it but I see that didn't work " He said
" What you went to jail for " I asked
" Trafficking, murder, kidnapping, robery, a lot of shit " He said
" You kidnapped somebody " I asked confused
" He was stealing from me so I kept him in a basement for 2 months tortured him for a while ." He said
" I see where I get the streets from then " I said laughing a bit
" I just hope that we could start on a bond . I wasn't there then but I'm here now and I want to be in your life as much as I can. Hell you look just like me " He said making us laugh
" We can do that . That girl in there who's daughter is she ?" I asked
" That girl is your sister Selena and she's 8 years old . My fiancé adopted her when she was 5 while I was in prison but she passed 6 months ago. When I got out the li girl was staying with my mom's and I took over ." He said
I heard the door open and I looked back seeing Nadia.
" Ms Garcia said come eat " she said closing the door back
We walked inside and washed our hands before we joined everybody at the table .
Roman's POV
We were sitting at the table eating and talking . I looked down at my phone seeing my sister calling . I was thinking about getting up and walking away but I decided against that. I ain't want to leave her hanging again. I answered the phone and put it on speaker sitting it on the table.

I looked over at Hennessy and she looked back at me .
" you okay ?" She asked
" Yea I'm good . I just want to know what she have to tell me " I said pulling on my beard
" You want to leave ?" She asked picking up her purse and standing
" Nuh . Sit down. I'm just going to go over there tomorrow." I said
She nodded her head and we got back to our date. After we finished eating we were standing in the middle of the boat slow dancing .
" I'm so happy you came into my life " I said looking down at her
" I'm so happy to be here ." She said looking up at me
" One day I'm gone get out this game and we gone move out of the country ." I said
" Can it be Rome ?" She asked laughing
" It can be wherever. Long as you coming wit a nigga" I said
Q's POV
We had just done eating and we were headed back to the apartment. I was really glad my dad was back and I got to know him and my sister. We pulled up the apartment and I saw Hennessy and Roman walking up the stairs too.
Hennessy POV
We made it back to the house and everybody was back from their night out. I walked to my room and got ready for bed. I was laying on Roman chest watching TV. I was ready for tomorrow to get here so I could go and see my parents. I had so much to tell them about. I looked up at Roman and he was sleep. I kissed his lips before I joined him.
