RISA'S POV

For some reason, I could feel a little underlying tension as filming progressed.

Yoongi looked agitated and Rise avoided eye contact with anyone but Hoseok.

As we finished our coffee and moved onto the next segment or mission which was to make arts and crafts of any kind.

We were given all of the art supplies and started to make our choice of craft. Then the two couples would compare our creations and see who had the better one.

Rise and I decided to make crowns.

Rise knew how to make this really pretty and intricate crown made out of paper and other decorations and I just mimicked her movements.

We had shifted our seating positions so Rise and I sat together in the middle while Yoongi sat next to me and Hoseok next to Rise.

I look a the two with empty papers. Yoongi held a colored pencil in his hand and presses it against his paper until the tip broke.

I wonder what's on his mind.

YOONGI'S POV

I crease the corner of my paper and fold it in half.

Risa leans over and asks me what I'm making. I shrug in response.

Up to this point, I thought that I was beginning to like Risa. She was fun to be around and we would joke a lot. But was she even thinking rationally? I'm sure she knows that I'm dating Rise. Right?

My mind goes through memories and I didn't recall any with me telling Risa. Crap. I just assumed that she knew.

I finish folding and realize I just made a paper airplane. Risa laughs which causes Rise too look over at me as well. Discreetly.

When I'm sure the cameras are focusing on Risa, I grab a pencil and scribble something on the paper before refolding it into the paper airplane shape.

I throw it to Hoseok and the plane surprisingly didn't stray off-course and hit the back of Hoseok's head. He takes the paper and unfolds it, reading the writing and angling the paper so the camera won't catch all of the words.

Help I'm screwed what's going on

Hoseok uses his paper and folds a paper airplane as well. It hits my shoulder and I take it.

Dude this is all messed up we should be in opposite places.

I reply with a purple construction paper plane this time.

You got that right.

"Can you guys stop and actually work on some arts and crafts?" Risa asks.

I shrug.

We continue to communicate with each other using airplanes as the girls in the middle were immersed in their own world crafts.

To be honest, I wasn't really paying attention to what they were doing. Or what I was supposed to be doing.

I was in the middle of folding another paper airplane— this time with orange construction paper— when I heard a quiet swear word.

At first, I thought it came from Rise or Hoseok but they both were staring at me.

I glance at the camera crew. The director was already out of his chair. "Sorry, I believe that the camera used to film Risa just died."

"Don't you have a replacement?" Risa's manager asked.

The director reddened and shrugged. "W-we already got all that we need. It's going to get edited anyway. How about we take a break for half an hour and take this time to get a drink of water and finish up the crafts?"

I see the camera that was focused on me blink from green to red and I immediately stand up.

Risa stands up as well and opens her mouth to speak but I headed over to Rise. I gave her a long hug and then asked if we could go somewhere else to talk privately.

Rise nods. "She didn't tell me the filming was for WGM. I'm so sorry," she whispered.

I tugged at her hand. "It's not that. I don't blame you. I'd never blame you. I just want to talk to you. We haven't seen each other in two weeks. I miss talking to you face to face."

Rise blushes and she smiles. "Okay."

RISA'S POV

"Did—" I turned to Yoongi and was ready to introduce him to Rise when he stepped right around me and pulled Rise into a hug.

Oh. Okay. So they know each other.

I stare at them, confused. What was going on? Yoongi hates physical contact, I could tell from filming the wall-painting scene a few weeks ago.

"Let's go somewhere more private to talk," Yoongi says.

Rise replies with a series of low whispers and an apology.

"It's not that. I don't blame you. I'd never blame you. I just want to talk to you. We haven't seen each other in two weeks. I miss talking to you face to face."

I witness Rise's face heat up as she agrees and Yoongi grabs her hand, guiding her out of my sight.

Horror spreads through me as I comprehend the situation. And their relationship.

I never got around to asking Yoongi who his girlfriend was. And asking Rise who her boyfriend was.

Why didn't I piece this all together earlier?

Now I looked like a pathetic fool for inviting Rise on a double date as I pretended to be her boyfriend's wife.

Dismay comes next as I realize why I was feeling so disappointed and embarrassed.

I liked Yoongi.

I should have known ever since I realized when skating that I wanted to get closer to him; that I found myself envying his unknown girlfriend. I should have known with every step and move I took though I knew it made him uncomfortable.

I liked Yoongi but he didn't like me. He liked Rise. No, he loved Rise. It could be to that extent.

I felt an emotion boiling in my chest and I didn't like it. Resentment. Anger. I didn't know who the emotion was built towards, but I really wanted to hurt something.

"Hey, are you okay? You kind of look like you swallowed a cat," Hoseok comes to my side.

I shoot him a glare, taking my anger out at him. He backs up. "Woah. Sorry. Didn't mean to sound rude."

The anger drains out of me and I look back towards the distance where Yoongi and Rise were last seen by me.

"Sorry," I apologize. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable."

Hoseok shrugs. "It's okay. Everybody has bad days. Did you know that Rise and Yoongi were dating?" His sudden change of subject caught me off guard.

I close my eyes. I was beginning to become an actress. I could handle a few white lies. Or a truckload.

I smile, still unable to glance at Hoseok. "Obviously not. If I did, I wouldn't have invited Rise." I quickly add, "Because I put the two in an uncomfortable situation."

"Risa."

I turn around. Rise was back with Yoongi at her side. My gaze flickers at the two holding hands. I manage to keep a straight face.

"Should we finish up our crowns?" She pauses for a minute and it's silent. "Risa?"

I blink. "Huh? Yeah, sure."

I follow her to the table. Hoseok and Yoongi stayed behind, talking off-set.

"I'm pretty much done with mine," Rise says. I nod, not meeting her eye and instead focusing on glueing a jewel to my paper crown.

Rise taught me how to make this crown. And the bibimbap. She was like the perfect older sister and I was getting all of the hand-me-downs.

My bibimbap didn't taste as good as hers; my paper crown didn't look as good as hers; Yoongi's affection towards me will never be as much as hers.

A foul taste entered my mouth.

"I'm done with mine," Rise says. Her tone sounded mocking to my ears. I was just a travesty of her.

"Crap. It's uneven over here," Rise looks at the back of her head, where the paper was glued and then stapled together.

She hands me a pair of scissors. "Can you cut that part off?" She asks.

Her voice was revolting. Her request was taunting. Yet, I still take the scissors and they hover near her head.

I was following her every request. Why was that? She had everything— a solid fan base in both Korea and Japan, a bunch of friends and a group to share secrets with, cooking skills, talent in dance and vocal, and a boyfriend who would never betray her.

She was everything that I wasn't and she dare ask me so innocently to fix her crown. The paper crown that I made was still resting on the table, messy and made with poor craftsmanship.

I glance at the scissors in my hand.

What happened next, I didn't realize until it was too late. There was a snip and then I heard Aoi scream. I glance down and was suddenly aware of the large chunk of thick, dark hair in my hands.

Rise had beautiful dark brown locks that I was envious about. I remember asking her what shampoo she used for her hair to be so wavy and luscious.

Now a portion of those locks rested in my palms.
The scissors clatter to the ground.

Rise sensed something was wrong and lifted a hand up to her head. Her hand touched where my scissors just were.

She paled.

It was clear that everybody was watching this commotion now. I felt hands push at the side of me and I stumble into the table. Yoongi was at Rise's side, observing the damage.

He shoots me a glare before grabbing Rise's wrist and leading her out of the room.

I glance at the bunch of hair in my hands and let it fall to the ground in loose strands.

What had I done?
