It hadn't yet been a day since she stumbled haphazardly into the lives of Castiel and Ecanus, and from what she knew; Ecanus was very similar to Castiel, though his eyes were brown, he had an army style shaved head and his shoulders were wider, but both guys were angels, both metaphorically and, apparently, literally. Em did feel a little conceited saying that she was an angel too, but apparently angels were real enough, so she tended to just skirt the topic when it came up. They got along, and she must have proved she wasn't about to turn into a pile of snakes or sprout new demon heads by the afternoon, because Ecanus at least now seemed to believe her 'story'. Then Ecanus, remembering what he said to Castiel before, made a few of his new ideas verbal; "You know what Castiel? She'd probably be happier rooming with me, don't you think?" he said with a grin and raised eyebrow,

Castiel put his hands to his chest in mock hurt, "wha- you think that she likes you more do you?"

Ecanus was chirping in laughter, while Em smiled slyly, "I dunno Castiel, he might have a point there.." putting on her acting face, though she had no intentions of moving in with the seemingly more impish of the two.

Castiel pretended to be shot through the heart and fell backwards into his cushy chair, "Oh mistriss! how you wound me with your words!" he called out, mimicking shakespearian,

Then Ecanus threw cushions at him, "ha!" he laughed,

After a brutal pillow battle, they lay on the floor amongst all the remains of pillows she hadn't noticed on the sofa before. It didn't matter now, they had now been destroyed forever. Out of breath from laughter, all anyone could do was smile. A feeling Em had yet to identify as strange to her. Castiel got up and shook his head of the little feathers clinging to his ruffled hair, then he turned to Em; "Really though, Em, what room d'you want to sleep in?" he then did a puppy-dog face, not unlike the Dean's, with his bottom lip sticking out, "Pwease pwick mine" he said sweetly,

Ecanus got up and exclaimed, "Cheater!" and threw another pillow at Castiel, only to turn to me and do the same thing,

Em giggled, putting pillows in-front of their puppy faces, "Although, I think I'll have a look at your rooms before I decide.." I trailed off,

At the sound of that, both guys remembered what looked like the same thing, and excused themselves discreetly to clean their rooms. With another giggle, Em got up and started to pick up all the pillows and the other tattered cases. She heard the thump of a ball and a smothered cuss come from Ecanus's room, only to be followed by the sound of falling paper's in Castiel's room and the sound of a large thud. She laughed a little more before picking up the least ripped pillow, which she used to gather as many stray feathers as she could. Another smile, and she stopped herself suddenly, a hand over her mouth. She wondered how long it had been since she had felt genuinely happy that way. Quickly she dismissed it, unsure of herself altogether, not trusting herself to feel too deeply much further. Worried that her attempts of numbing herself would not stop her from remembering... she paused, and resumed her efforts at cleaning up the feathers. She was reaching for some on the top of the mounted flatscreen when Castiel appeared behind her, Ecanus in tow. Castiel was now wearing a black shirt, and his hair looked much more ruffled than before, which seemed impossible until now. Ecanus looked about the same but he was holding his leg a little as though he had tripped on something or stubbed his toe. The epitome's of impish smiles on their faces.

"Alright, nothing to hide now!" Ecanus declared,

Em decided to look in Ecanus's room first, and as she walked in she was surprised to see two single beds, one that looked neat and unused, and another which had been hastily made, along with a desk by the window. It lit up half the room and had the same red drapes as the middle room. The wall the window was on was pushed further out than the one the spare bed was against, making it create a sort of writer's nook. The desk was covered in stray papers with an orange sticker-covered laptop in the middle. There was a printer, new paper and ink cartridges on the floor beside a bin basket. There was also a large dark brown bookcase covering the wall opposite, on it a mix of manuscripts and trophies for sports, along with a basket ball and a baseball cap could be seen. There were a lot of books too, squeezed into some shelves and loose in others. An Xbox was wrapped up on the floor by the door, as if it was taken out to the television frequently, but as though he refused to leave it to be shared. The more 'ancient' influence of the mansion was contrasted so strangely with this newer modern technology on the desk and floor.

The beds had brown velvet duvet's to match the sofa outside and red throws to match the curtains, the white sheets looked even silkier than the ones in the infirmary. There was a door between the used bed and the bookcase on Em's left, which she assumed led to the bathroom, but at the same time, there was another door between it and the bed, which she guessed would be a closet. Between the beds there was a painting of an angel holding books and scrolls, and under it was a side table with an alarm clock on-top of a very worn book. All-together it was a nice room, and the wall between the door she came in through and the window, had a calender in the middle of a swarm of different posters of books, movies and bands. She noted, however, that there were hints of hidden mess around. There was a suspicious few items of clothing sticking out from under the bed, and the closet door seemed unable to close fully. It was all as if the great mess had been hastily stuffed into every available crevice.

"Nice room" Em said, making Ecanus swell with pride, though the secret mess did not escape her.

She walked back out and towards Castiel's room. He followed shyly and stood against the door frame, waiting for an opinion as Em entered. The curtains were drawn, and the shape of the room was the mirror image of Ecanus's. The room itself could have been the same were it not for the much neater feel and greater bareness of it all, coupled with the slight lack of vibrance and color. Castiel had not added anything to the walls, apart from another painting between the beds. This time it was an angel with black hair, quill in hand with a pensive and skyward facing look. There were scrolls and papers falling from his other hand. Castiel's room had two bookcases, more neatly kept almost exclusively full with well kept books, some of which spilled over on top of the other rows. Some of the titles, Em noticed, were recognisable to her. Mostly melancholic poetry. The desk in this room had only a plain macbook, and a large stack of papers. The waste bin on it's side filled to excess with more crumpled papers, they too spilled out and around their container.

"Having trouble writing?" Em asked,

"Umm .. yeah.." he said, seeming surprised, then a little reluctant to aknowledge something about this, "Haven't been able to write about anything the right way.."

She moved on, now seeing that there was a broken alarm clock on the bedside table. The clock looked as if it had been thrown against the wall, and then crushed rather angrily. The room felt a little darker, both in an emotional and luminescent way, but it looked more appealing to Em that way. She picked up the alarm clock, completely sympathising with it's smashed situation. She very badly wanted it to be fixed, wanted herself to be fixed. She focused on that little thing and imagined it being fixed, trying to will it that way. To her surprise, the small clock suddenly started to revert, the screen pulled back together, the cashing reformed and all the cracks disappeared as though time were reversed. It looked brand new. Em gasped, and dropped the clock in her shock, and it cracked again as it hit the floor. Castiel rushed over, wondering if she had cut herself, "I'm sorry. I meant to have that replaced.." he apologised as he picked up the broken pieces and examined her hand, before taking it over to the waste bin. It fell in with a plonk, and sent a wave of crumpled paper out over the floor.

"What happened?" he asked, coming back over to inspect her hands for cuts more thoroughly,

"Nothing really." she said, not sure she could be sure of what she'd seen. Weird things like that are what had gotten her in trouble before, nobody believed her when she said they had happened. Adults had convinced her she was making it all up, though now she wondered if this were what the Dean had talked about before. "I'm fine. Really." She said, pulling away her hand with an attempt at a reassuring smile.

She appraised the room briefly again, "I think I choose your room."

She smiled, she had the distinct impression that it would be easier not to intrude on this room as much as Ecanus's, he had that whole room in chaos after all. The less excited atmosphere of Castiel's room comforted her, it mirrored her own heart in many ways, even parts of it were broken.

"is that okay with you?" she questioned,

He looked a little startled, but was encouraged nonetheless, and said "You're kidding right? It'd be my absolute pleasure to play host to you."

Ecanus walked in to see Castiel looking at Em happily still, "Em you're really serious?! His room is so boring!" he said like a tempered child.

Em giggled, but then thought aloud "You two already call me Em?"

Both of the boys exchanged glances, "is that not alright with you?" said Ecanus,

"No, no.." Em said hurridly, "It's just been a while and.." she began to wring her hands again, "I just haven't heard that in a while.."

The boys smiled, now assured they hadn't done something to upset their new friend.

"But Em, the room, it's Dull" He emphasised the word, "Not going to reconsider? You're missing o-out." He drew out that last word playfully,

Em giggled, "At least It's clean!" she said, sitting down on the bed by the window,

Ecanus tried to protest, insisting his room was clean despite what he had hidden. Neither Castiel or Em let him get away with it though.
