"Y/n, Amethyst... It's time to wake up," A voice said as it shook the two gently, "Come on... If you don't get up Pearl is gonna come and she's gonna be so mad!"
"Hmm?" Amethyst sat up from the bed and looked down at Y/n, who was still sleeping, "Steven? What's going on?"
"It's almost two in the afternoon! You guys have been asleep for soooo long!" Steven told, "Pearl was gonna come over and pull you guys out of bed, but I said I'd come and wake you up!"
"Alright, let's go," Amethyst sighed as she tried standing out of the bed, but Y/n was resting on Amethyst's long hair, they instinctively grabbed onto Amethyst and pulled her back down, "Eh... The bed keeper says no,"
"Y/n, Y/n wake up!" Steven shook Y/n
"Another millennium..." Y/n groaned
"Pearl is gonna come in five minutes if you don't get up!" Steven warned
Y/n's eyes immediately shot open, recalling the many times Pearl came in to wake them up. Not wanting another situation like prior, Y/n immediately rolled out of bed and onto the floor, "I'm coming! I'm coming!" Y/n told as they jumped up and ran to the closet.
"That got 'em," Amethyst chuckled as she stood out of bed and gave Steven a quick noogie
"Haha! Stop!" Steven laughed as he reached at Amethyst's hand
"You miss me?" Amethyst asked
"Maybe a little," Steven told
"Missed you too, bud," Amethyst chuckled
"Alright, I'm dressed," Y/n told as they approached Amethyst and Steven
"Whoa, you're quick today," Amethyst laughed
"I don't want my spine to be broken by pokes again," Y/n told
"Heh, right. She still does that?" Amethyst asked
"Yes," Y/n sighed, "A lot,"
"She does that to me too, if I don't get out of bed," Steven told
"Together we share our suffering," Y/n chuckled, "Ready to head out?"
"Yep!" Steven smiled
"Le's go," Amethyst said as she gestured towards the stairs
"Can do!" Y/n laughed as they did a speed walk to the stairs and slid down the hand rail
"Ooh! That's fun!" Amethyst laughed as she followed suit, sliding down the hand rail
"Wait for me!" Steven told as he jumped onto the hand rail and tried sliding down, but near the end slipped off, before he could hit the ground. Y/n quickly reached out, caught him, and set him down on the floor
"Careful there," Y/n laughed
"Man, I gotta practice my hand rail riding," Steven pouted
"You'll get soon, you almost made the entire rail!" Y/n told, "Just that last second,"
"Yeah, you'll get 'em next time," Amethyst assured, "Come on, let's go before Pearl gets REALLY mad,"

"It's getting late," Y/n yawned, "I should probably head back now,"
"Aw, come on," Steven pouted, "We've only been hanging out since 2!"
"It's almost 11 o'clock!" Y/n laughed, "That's nine hours! Besides, don't you need to go to bed?"
"You are more than welcome to sleep over," Pearl told from the kitchen area
"Yeah! Sleep over!" Steven smiled, "Please, Y/n? Please?"
"Ugh, I can't say no to that face," Y/n chuckled, "Fine, I'll sleep over,"
"Yay!" Steven cheered
"Well, good night you two," Pearl laughed as she went to her room in the temple, the door materializing open then shut
"I'm gonna go brush my teeth," Steven said, "Be right back!"
"I'l be right here," Y/n said as Steven went into the bathroom. Y/n sighed as they turned their back towards the entrance of the door and began to walk towards the warp pad until a sudden forced wrapped around their face and yanked them back
"No sudden moves, The Y/n!" A nasally voice commanded in a hush
"Peridot... Nice to see you again," Y/n said as they took a deep breath in
"Do not speak or else," Peridot threatened
"Yes, ma'am," Y/n said as they breathed out
"Get on the warp pad, do it!" Peridot demanded
"I'm moving, I'm moving," Y/n said as Peridot shoved them over to the Warp Pad
"Stay right there and do not move!" Peridot said as she formed an energy ball from her robotic arms, "Or else!"
"Yeah, I get it," Y/n rolled their eyes, Y/n was about to raise their arms to activate the warp pad, but then remembered Steven was still in the bathroom. Not wanting to abandon him, Y/n put their hands down and sighed.
"Not a sound!" Peridot warned as she went over to the couch and threw a bunch of items on it before covering it all with a blanket, creating an illusion as if someone was sleeping there.
"Smart," Y/n acknowledged
"Shush!" Peridot used one magnetic finger to press against her lips and demonstrate what Y/n should do
"Right, I have to be quiet," Y/n laughed a bit as they imitated Peridot
"I'm serious!" Peridot warned, "I-I-I'll kill you! I'll do it!"
"I know," Y/n nodded
"HmmHmm," Steven hummed a song as he opened the bathroom door, "Y/n? You there?" Steven called out as he walked over to the couch to see the lumpy stack of items covered in a blanket, "Already asleep? Man, they're tired,"
"Oh Steven..." Y/n sighed to themself, eyeing Peridot who was hiding at the foot of Steven's bed, her hair clearly sticking out from the edge, "Oh Peridot..."
"Goodnight, Happy Bear. Goodnight, Sad Bunny. Goodnight, Playful Kitty. Goodnight, Ominous Triangle at the foot of my bed," Steven cheered as he jumped into bed. Once he closed his eyes, Peridot jumped from her spot and up behind Steven. When Steven opened his eyes once again, Peridot covered Steven's mouth and roughly grabbed him
"Hey! Hey!" Y/n stepped off the warp pad, "You're hurting him!"
"Get back on the warp pad, you Y/n!" Peridot warned as she struggled with Steven across the Temple, "I'll blast you into pieces!"
"Be careful with him!" Y/n demanded as Peridot shoved Y/n onto the warp pad with Steven. She activated the platform and caused the three of them to warp, "Where are you taking us?"
"Shut up! Nyeeeh... I have to think," Peridot groaned
"Aargh, let me go!" Steven demanded, "Y/n! Help!"
"Don't you move closer!" Peridot threatened
"Let go of him," Y/n demanded
"Enough of this!" Peridot yelled as the three of them finished the warp and ended up at the Galaxy Warp. Peridot dropped Steven then used what seemed to be a tractor beam to carry Steven over to the Homeworld warp, "The Y/n! Get over here!"
"What do you want from us?!" Steven asked as Peridot dropped him on the warp
"I want, to get off this lousy gem-forsaken planet!" Peridot told as she walked over to the warp
"Huh?" Steven frowned
Peridot shaped her fingers into arrows and then pointed down at the warp pad, "You two have to fix this!"
"Wait, what?" Y/n questioned
"You two are my last chance. I've got no Flask Robonoids. I've got no foot! I've got no response from Yellow Diamond!" Peridot took a deep breath in then out, "I know you fixed Lazuli's gem. Whatever you did, you've got to do it to the Homeworld Warp!" Peridot then charged up her energy blaster like she did to Y/n, "Or else!"
"Oh- oh- okay, just give me a second! My mouth gets really dry when I'm scared," Steven told. He then licked his left palm and lifted it up, "Here goes!" Steven smacked his hand against the warp pad, but nothing happened.
"What was that?! It didn't do ANYTHING!" Peridot yelled
"It... doesn't always work," Steven admitted
"You! The Y/n! You fix it!" Peridot demanded
"With what?" Y/n sassed
"No..." Peridot shook her head in exasperation, "No no no no no! It HAS TO WORK!"
"I'm really sorry..." Steven sighed
"...I wish there was something we could do to help," Y/n told
"This was it... This was my last shot!" Peridot laughed in despair as she fell onto the ground and curled into a ball, "I'm gonna die here! Noooooh, oh-"
"Hey, hey- come on! Earth isn't that bad..." Steven said
"It doesn't matter what Earth is like! It's not going to be like anything soon!" Peridot told
"What do you mean?" Steven frowned
"It can't mean anything good," Y/n said as the warp chimed, revealing the Crystal Gem in fighting p osition
"Ugh!" Peridot groaned as she ran away from Steven and Y/n
"There they are!" Pearl said as she ran over and pulled Y/n and Steven into a tight hug
"Guys!" Steven stammered as he hugged Pearl back
"What hapened?!" Pearl asked in a haste
"Ahh, you're okay!" Amethyst ran over
"Peridot!" Garnet snapped as she saw Peridot running away
"Why can't you just leave me alone?!" Peridot yelled
"Gems, move!" Garnet commanded.
Peridot responded with an odd noise as she fired three quick blasts of green energy. Y/n grabbed Steven and ran away from the blasts while the rest of the Gems ran towards Peridot. Peridot then uses her helicopter fingers to begin to fly away, but Amethyst caught Peridot within her whip, "Hah!" Peridot laughed as she sent electricity through the whip
Garnet approached and grabbed the whip with her gauntlet, stopping the flow of electricity. Garnet then sent her own electricity back up the whip, shocking Peridot, "Not this time!" Garnet said as she yanked Peridot down into the ground
"Uff," Y/n winced. Steven gasped at the sight and hid his face into Y/n's chest
"Wait, wait.. you- you need me!!" Peridot coughed as she stood up and held her blaster out. Pearl began to sneak behind Peridot and drew her spear, "I'm.. the only one who knows ABOUT THE--" Before Peridot could finish Garnet grabbed Peridot and squeezed her tightly, causing her to poof
"Oh gross," Y/n winced as they turned away, covering Steven's eyes
"What on Earth?" Pearl frowned as Peridot's limbs fell to the ground
"Ugh, sick, there's bits of her all over," Amethyst winced
"Can I look yet?" Steven asked
"I-I think so," Y/n said as they took their hand away and walked towards the Gems with Steven
"Nope, she's right here," Garnet said as she showed Peridot's bubbled Gem, she then tapped the top and sent it back to the temple, "And now she's in the temple,"
"So these weren't actually part of her body?" Pearl asked as she looked at the robotic limbs on the floor
"Uh, whoops," Amethyst chuckled as she scooped up the parts and dropped them into the ocean
"Garnet, she was trying to tell us something..." Steven said
"Those were just the desperate lies of a Gem who's been caught. You don't need to worry about her anymore," Garnet assured
"Y/n...?" Steven turned to the human standing to his side. Y/n said nothing, but gave him an assuring nod.
"Come on, you two. Oh, I'm so glad this is finally over," Pearl said as she escorted Y/n and Steven back to the warp pad

"Y/n... Y/n come on," Steven whispered as Y/n slept on the couch
"Hmm? Steven? Everything alright?" Y/n asked
"Come with me!" Steven pleaded as he tugged Y/n's hand
"Where're we going?" Y/n asked as they rubbed their eyes and stood up
"Mom's room," Steven told as he led Y/n to the open door at the end of the temple
"You think maybe we'll be able to find out what Peridot was talking about?" Y/n pieced together as the two entered the room
"Exactly," Steven nodded as he stood in the room, "Room, I need to talk to Peridot,"
Almost immediately, the clouds formed into a version of Peridot, "I'm the only one who knows about the-"
"The what? Ugh, no no no," Steven groaned as he swiped at the cloud Peridot, clearing it away.
"Can we get to the Burning Room from here? The real one?" Y/n asked, suddenly the room responded by parting rooms, showing a vein like object leading deep into the temple
"Thank you, room!" Steven cheered, "Come on, Y/n! It'll be just like the stairs!" Steven said as he jumped on the vein and slid down
"Wait, Steven you fell on the stairs!" Y/n called after him as they jumped after him
"Woo! Yeah!" Steven cheered as he flew off the pole, "Triple 550 Deluxe with no cheese!" Steven then landed on his face with a loud thump. Y/n landed on their feet behind them and ran to him, "Yep... Perfect landing,"
"You good?" Y/n asked as they helped him to his feet, "This is the burning room, huh?"
"Yeah," Steven nodded as he looked up at the array of bubbles, "Hmm. There we go!" Steven pointed
"I'll get her," Y/n said as they climbed up a pole and grabbed Peridot's bubble, the bubble then popped and Peridot's gem fell out. Y/n dropped to the ground as Peridot began to regenreate
"-the Cluster, you insufferable half-formed traitor mega-clods!" Peridot yelled as she held her wrist as if she still had her robotic limbs, but then wiggled her fingers when she realized the parts were missing
"Oh my gosh... you're so... cuuuuute!" Steven gushed in glee
"My limb enhancers! Where are my limb enhancers?!" Peridot panicked as she looked at her body
"Aw, you're like.. an angry little slice of pie!" Steven smiled
"Stop talking! I demand to know what this place is, and where I-" Peridot began as she looked up to see the hundreds of bubbles, "Oh my stars... You're going to harvest me?!"
"Oh you poor thing," Y/n sighed as they watched the frightened Peridot
"No! I mean... " Steven tried to calm Peridot down, but Peridot then slapped him, "Ow, that hurt!"
"... It did?" Peridot questioned
"Yeah, a lot," Steven winced. Peridot then raised her hand and hit Steven again, "Ow!"
"Yes! Feel my unbridled rage!" Peridot declared as she started hitting Steven with a windmill of slaps
"Hey, hey, hey," Y/n laughed as they went over to Steven and Peridot, "That's enough,"
"Hey! Hey, hey. What's that on your shirt?" Steven asked as he put his finger on Peridot's chest
"What's a shirt?" Peridot frowned. Steven then flicked his finger up at Peridot's nose, "Ow! That's it!" Peridot yelled as she tackled Steven
"Ok, enough," Y/n said as they picked up Peridot, she began squirming within Y/n's grip as they held her out of hitting range like a baby who just made a mess in their diaper
"Why are you acting like this!?" Steven asked
"You smashed me into a limbless cloud! You trapped me in your bubble dungeon! And, you called me..." Peridot sniffled then blushed, "Cute!"
"We didn't poof you! We freed you!" Steven told
Peridot then calmed down, Y/n decided it was appropriate to put Peridot down and did so, placing her gently on the floor, "... Why would you make such a miscalculation?"
"Back at the Warp Pad, what were you trying to say? Why do we need you? What do you know?" Steven asked
"You just said something about a Cluster?" Y/n questioned, "Jasper mentioned something like that when she was interrogating me,"
"What do I know? Everything there is to know about the Cluster, you pebble," Peridot snapped
"Cluster? Wait, "pebble"?" Steven frowned
"My mission. The reason why I'm on this sad rock in the first place! I was to check progress on the Cluster! Just in and out, before it hatches. I wasn't supposed to get stuck here! But now it's going to emerge and nothing can stop it, and we'll all be shattered!" Peridot spoke rapidly
"Okay, okay, wait, slow down. Now, from the top... emerging, hatching, Clusters?" Steven said slowly
"You two wanna know?" Peridot questionned
"Yes," Steven nodded
"You really wanna know?" Peridot pushed
"Yes?" Y/n responded, unsure
"What's your shirt?" Peridot asked as she pointed at Steven's pajamas
"These are my banana pajamas," Steven smiled, but the smile soon faded when Peridot flicked his face and Peridot ran away towards the exit, "Ow! Wait, don't run away!" Peridot laughed maniacally as she scaled the room, followed by Y/n and Steven, "Stop! They're gonna see you!"
"Freedom is mine!" Peridot declared as she spread her arms out wide in the middle of the temple, in complete view of the rest of the gems
"Oh boy," Y/n sighed, leaning against the wall near the bathroom
"Look! Over there! Another planet to betray!" Peridot shook in fear as she pointed to the roof
"Oh... Poor thing," Y/n fretted. Soon, Garnet summoned her gauntlets and Amethyst shoved a whole pizza box down her mouth, "Wait, guys! Go easy on her, will yeah?"
"Retreat!" Peridot shrieked as she ran towards the front door
"Oh, no you don't!" Pearl said as she stood in front of the door with Garnet
"Eeep!" Peridot squeaked as she ran up the stairs on all fours, only to come face to face with Amethyst sitting on Steven's bed
"Hey," Amethyst smirked as she pulled on her whip
"Ahh!" Peridot yelled as she jumped off the ledge of Steven's loft and landed face first on the floor, "Ow!"
"Guys, you're terrifying her!" Y/n pleaded as they stood up straight
"Get her!" Garnet commanded.
Peridot then ran passed Y/n and grabbed them by the wrist as she yanked Y/n into the bathroom and locked the door, "You may have won the war, but the battle isn't over, Crystal Clods! I have a hostage!"
"Should we tell her that's the bathroom?" Pearl asked
"Eh," Amethyst shrugged, "What's more important is that Peridot thinks she can keep Y/n in there,"
"Hmm?" Steven frowned as he phoned buzzed from his bed, "Hold on guys," Steven ran to his bed and grabbed the phone and read a text he recieved

"Uh..." Steven approached the gems and showed them his phone conversation
"Seriously?" Amethyst frowned
"Uh, Y/n says. Yeah, seriously," Steven read his texts
"Hmm... Seems I discovered some sort of archaic think chamber. Roomy," Peridot though out loud
"It's called a bathroom," Y/n told
"Shush, hostage!" Peridot demanded as she lifted the toilet seat, "With a fresh hint of Earth citrus. A perfect crossroads for my escape," Peridot then lifted one foot towards the toilet bowl
"Wait, Peridot don't do that," Y/n warned, "You can't flush yourself down the toilet,"
"Don't tell me what I can and can't do, hostage!" Peridot said
"No, you literally cannot do that. It's impossible," Y/n told
"I will see that for my self!" Peridot said as she entered the toiler bowl and flushed the toilet, she began to spin around with an unamused face, "Do not say a word, The Y/n,"
"If you're trying to flush yourself down the toilet, it won't work. Trust me, I've tried," Amethyst called from the otherside
"How did she get out? We bubbled her!" Pearl said
"Maybe we needed a bigger bubble," Amethyst suggested
"My bubbles are fine," Garnet told
"Y/n and I did it," Steven told
"Steven! Why would you do such a thing!?" Pearl asked in shock
"Because she knows something! Something that's made her scared!" Steven told
"Oh boy," Y/n sighed as they heard the yelling from behind the door, looking to Peridot as she explored the bathroom
"Duh. Homegirl knows we're gonna beat her into a green pancake," Amethyst said as she punched her fist
"No, not 'cause of us. 'Cause of something called 'the Cluster'," Steven told,"Uh..." Steven looked down to his phone that buzzed, "Y/n says to stop threatening Peridot,"
"Cluster? That's new," Garnet said
"What else did she tell you?" Pearl asked
"That's all we got," Steven told
"That's right, you dirt bombs! You don't even know what's coming!" Peridot said as she looked into the mirror, "Ooh... Hostage, explain this device," Peridot pushed on the mirror and made faces
"It's a mirror," Y/n said, "It reflects light onto it's surface,"
"I'm tired of playing these games," Garnet told, "If we can't fight her, then fine. We'll talk. Peridot,"
"Whoa!" Peridot yelled as she fell of the sink, but Y/n caught her before she hit the floor, "...Thanks,"
"Alright, no more fighting. Let's just have a civil conversation," Garnet said
"As if I'd negotiate with you, filthy war machine!" Peridot snapped
"Hey, be nice," Y/n chastised
"Okay, let's kick her butt," Garnet said as she summoned her gauntlets
"Wait!" Steven pleaded
"Yeah! Destroy me again, and have fun trying to talk to me when I'm in a bubble!" Peridot yelled as she grabbed a plunger and then climbed up the shower curtain, once she made it to the top, Peridot fell off and Y/n once again caught her before she hit the ground
"I really hate to say it, but unfortunately if she has information, she's more valuable to us like... this," Pearl told
"This is going to be tricky," Garnet said
"H-h-hot hot hot!" Peridot said as she turned a knob and water began to run towards her from the faucet
"Here, here," Y/n grabbed Peridot from the bathtub and lifted her out quickly

"Hostage. What are you doing? Hostage? The Y/n?" Peridot lightly used her foot to kick at Y/n's sleeping body, "Are you broken?" Y/n did not respond and continued sleeping
"Peridot, can I come in? I need to get ready for the day," Steven said as he knocked on the door
"No," Peridot responded
"I have something for you," Steven told. Peridot cracked open the door to see Steven holding her foot, she grabs the foot from him and closes the door quickly, then opening it once again
"What a great souvenir of that other time you assaulted me," Peridot commented
"Oh, right, sorry. I can take it back," Steven said he walked over Y/n
"No! It's too late!" Peridot said, "And I believe your Y/n is broken,"
"Hmm? No, they're fine. They're just asleep," Steven told
"You... wouldn't happen to have the rest of my limb enhancers?" Peridot asked
"Uh, sorry, we lost them," Steven told, "Well, we kinda threw 'em away... Can you pass me that?" Steven pointed to the toothbrush near Peridot
"Is this a weapon?" Peridot questioned as she grabbed the toothbrush
"Only for cavities," Steven said
"Hmm," Peridot threw the toothbrush to Steven
"Thanks!" Steven smiled as he began to brush his teeth
"Is that a weapon?" Peridot pointed at Steven's comb
"No, that's a comb I never use," Steven told
"Is that a weapon?" Peridot pointed to the floor
"No, that's Y/n," Steven reminded
"No, not the Y/n! That!" Peridot pointed to the towel near Y/n
"Hmm? Oh, well, I guess if you get it wet and roll it up," Steven said as he rolled up the towel, causing Peridot to flinch in fear. In their sleep, Y/n winced at Peridot's whimper, "Look, I know you're scared, but I'm not going to hurt you. And whatever's going on, whatever the Cluster is, I wanna help,"
"I doubt you can help me, but I... appreciate the offer," Peridot said
"Now do you mind moving? I have to use that," Steven pointed to the toilet
"For what?" Peridot frowned
"Er... How about you let Y/n out? Maybe move them to the couch?" Steven suggested
"No!" Peridot leaped onto Y/n gripped their upper body tightly, "The Y/n stays with me!"
"Fine, fine," Steven sighed, "Just... Turn around and make sure Y/n doesn't look," Steven sighed
