You let out a grunt of pain, rubbing your backside and looking behind you to glare an angry look at him. However when you turned he wasn't in sight. Just the orangey coloured back wall of the stage you were sitting on. You whip your head back around in confusion to see him standing by the junk pile, grabbing the mattress you had pointed to and with the curtain already hanging in his other hand.

How does he do that?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pennywise grabbed the mattress and with a hearty tug, dragged it out from the stack of junk it was under. Once it was out, the mattress that was supporting the weight of many other heavy objects was no longer in the pile, so gravity did its thing and a lot of things came crashing down. You cringed as you heard unknown metal objects and such clang against the floor, but Pennywise didn't even flinch. He just stood there with his back to you, frowning at the mess he had just created.

He spent ages piling that stuff up.

The clown quickly shoed the hint of annoyance away, then he spun his body around in this inhuman way, with his body turning first then his head following after it. He gave a shiver of delight, letting the bells that rested on his suit to jingle merrily. Jeez, that frightened you more than the huge clash of junk seconds ago, and the sound was only faint. Well, you supposed it's not really the sound you feared, but what it symbolised- that Pennywise was near.

Anyway, with the mattress and curtain in his grip he walked over to you, getting closer and closer until he was standing right over you. You gulped and shrunk back as he gave off that forked smile, his orange tinted eyes glancing down at you. Although you tried not to be, you were scared. Who wouldn't be?

You had expected the worst of him since you got down here, and now that his full attention was on you, you had expected nothing more than for him to pounce on you and bite you, sucking the fear out of your system like a vacuum. The one thing you'd learned about him was that he was unpredictable, which is what made him so frightening. You just couldn't understand what was going on in that clowny head of his.

So it came as yet another surprise to you when he just dropped the mattress down next to you, saying nothing at all. You look wide eyed at it, then back up at the clown to give some sort of appreciative look; he may be a killer clown thing, but he seemed to have some sort of morals, despite them not matching up.

But, before you could even lay eyes on him, he threw the curtain so that it landed on your head, blinding you from the sight of him. The sudden darkness frightened you for a second, and you squeaked in surprise, but then you realised what had happened. So you slowly raised the material over your head to actually look at Pennywise.

And not much to your surprise, he was gone. You gazed around a little longer, noticing a change to your surroundings, apart from the wrecked junk pile that was originally being suspended by the mattress that was now next to you. What was missing was the dead little girl that Pennywise was chowing down on earlier, before you had distracted him.

All that remained of it, or at least an evidence that it was ever there, was this pool of shiny bright red blood, and coming out of it, trailing off to the right, was this smeared track of blood that faded out as it got further from the source. You pieced together that Pennywise had dragged the child's body off out of your way to eat it.

But why? Surely he didn't care whether it disgusted you or not. I mean, wasn't his goal to make you afraid? You shook your head...it couldn't possibly because he had any decency, because he didn't. He was eating a little girls naked body, for fucks sake. The only reason your mind could muster up was perhaps he wanted you to sleep well so that you recover faster, then he can feed from you again.

With that in mind, you wanted to refuse getting to sleep. But you couldn't, you were too tired, and you really wanted to sleep off the sickness. So you frowned, despite knowing you were probably setting up your own doom, and set up the 'bed'. It looked grimy and dodgy, and you didn't have a pillow, but you went with it anyway.

You lay down on the mattress and pull the curtain drape over your cold body. The material was rough like cardboard and not at all comforting, but as it hugged your body it slowly began to warm up, and so did you. You moaned quietly and shuffled into a more comfortable position, then curled up and closed your eyes. The pain and stomach ache started to drift away, and you felt lighter now.

~~~~~~~~~~
Honestly, you weren't sure how long you had slept for, but you know you slept quite lightly...and surprisingly without a nightmare. In fact, you had a dreamless sleep. A void of blackness that drove you to the point where, when you started to gain a conscious as you woke, you wondered if this is what it felt like to die. Just floating around in this endless world of nothingness, with only your own thoughts to keep you company...or perhaps no thoughts at all. It wouldn't matter anyway, because your identity, who you were or what impact you left on society, good or bad, is left behind you, in a world where there are sentient beings, laws and rules. Now you mean nothing.
{Quick A/N: Oh my fuck guys I'm not sure what happened up there👆🏻👆🏻I was drinking tea and writing absentmindedly, and when I read what I wrote I was shook. I must have some deep shit stirring up in my mind that I need to talk about lmao...}
Aaaaaannnyway. You slowly rose from your slumber to an odd feeling against your face- specifically your cheek. It was a tingling sensation that wasn't quite recognisable at first, but once your senses started to kick in you could feel that it was material you could feel, and it was slowly and gently moving up and down your cheek, tickling it.
Stroking it.
Your eyes fluttered open gracefully at the peaceful awakening, not quite remembering where you were right now. You didn't stay graceful for long, however, because seconds later you screamed, frantically kicking the blankets away from your body and backing up.
It was in front of you, one arm outstretched allowing a gloved hand to caress your cheek. Naturally you were afraid, so you shut your eyes and backed away out of his touch. As you backed up you felt your back come into contact with something soft. You opened your eyes in distraught, and the flesh eating clown was no longer in front of you. So that must mean...
You hesitantly turned around, to indeed be greeted by the orange eyes of Pennywise. He was crouching down next to you, watching with a devilish smile and curious eyes as you scrambled to the other side of the mattress again. You wished he would stop doing that teleporting thing, it was terrifying. That caused a butterfly effect, because when he scared you, your fear beckoned his blood lust, which made him attack you, which made you even more afraid and so on.
So this time, you closed your eyes and counted to ten.
One, two, three. Your breathing was harsh and out of control, and your heart pounded against your chest as if it were trying to escape.
Four, five, six. You tried to calm yourself, repeating that he wasn't going to hurt you so long as you weren't scared.
Seven, eight, nine. Your breathing slowed, and your tense body seemed to relax to a more comfortable state.
Ten. You opened your eyes to see the clown staring at you, a blank expression on his face. He was studying you, trying to figure out what you just did. Whatever it was, he didn't like it, because the smell of your fear was no longer present in the air. No human had ever done what you just did, you just...stopped being scared.
A little angry, he shook his head and smiled again. "Hiya!" He greets.
