"I'm glad... I guess that excitement is finally over," Y/n chuckled as they hugged back
"There is still more to come... Though it may seem scary, I want you to know you have me always by your side. As well as Steven and the rest of the Gems, they will help you," Rose Quartz told, "And you will help them,"
"Well, I'm hardened at this point," Y/n said, "I'm ready for whatever Homeworld as to throw at me,"
"I hope you're correct," Rose Quartz said, "Be strong for me, My little Y/n. Be strong for the Earth,"
"I wouldn't have it any other way," Y/n said, "...These months may have been completely terrifying, but they are so so exciting!"
"Yes, they have been for me as well," Rose Quartz said, "Remember to stay vigilant. Keep the weapon the police chief gave to you,"
"Can do," Y/n nodded

"Can we look yet?" Steven asked as he and Y/n covered their eyes while Connie prepared something from her bag
"Okay, go ahead," Connie said
"BOOOOKS!" Steven gasped, "Whoa, cool cover!"
"Huh, Unfamiliar Familiar," Y/n said, "I read that last summer. It's a great series,"
"I know, right?!" Connie cheered, "It's my favorite series! It's about this girl named Lisa and she's a witch! - I mean, she doesn't know she's a witch at first, and she has a familiar, which is sorta like this spirit companion that everyone in the world has. And hers is a talking falcon named Archimicarus! Anyways she goes on this quest to find her father after he's kidnapped by the mysterious one-eyed man,"
"Whoa, mystery!" Steven smiled
"Here! Lemme get you started! Ahem," Connie cleared her throat, "Chapter One: The Morning Thief. Lisa awoke with a start, the echoes of her dreams still dancing in her mind, the low rumble of thunder murmured through the quiet house- " Suddenly, a sound of something shooting off disturbed Connie's reading. Y/n frowned as they looked up at the sky then to the temple
"Wooah, this is a really good book!" Steven cheered
"Uh... okay," Connie frowned as she continued reading, "The house was deathly still. The only sound Lisa could hear was her own heartbeat pounding in her ears. The hairs on her neck tingled when suddenly-"
"Guys, we've gotta move!" Y/n warned as they ushered Steven and Connie away from the beach. An odd large marble like object dropped into the ocean and sent a large splash of water onto the beach, barley getting the three wet since Y/n moved them out of the way in time
"What the-" Steven frowned as he looked back at the water
"What was that?" Amethyst called out as she exited the temple
"One of the marble robots!" Y/n told as the aforementioned robot rolled onto the shore and sprouted seven legs
"What?" Connie frowned in confusion
Suddenly, the robot began approaching Y/n and Steven, but Garnet jumped in front of the robot and stopped it, "Amethyst! Pearl!" Both the Gems jumped down from above and destroy the machine, causing it to splatter everywhere. Steven formed a bubble around him, Connie, and Y/n and save them from the oncoming goo.
"You guys okay?" Steven asked
"All good," Y/n gave a thumbs up
"I love hanging out at your place!" Connie cheered
"Pearl, do you think this was-" Steven began to ask as he took down the bubble
"One of Peridot's Machines? Yes I think so, only... we've never seen one this big before," Pearl told
"Or this gooey!" Amethyst said as she was covered head to toe in goo
"Amethyst, we need to be careful we don't know what this stuff is," Pearl warned. Suddenly, Amethyst smirked and stuck out her arms, "Oh no. Don't you dare get that stuff on me!"
"Goop hug!" Amethyst laughed as she began chasing Pearl around the beach, "Come here, Pearl! I love you, Pearl!"
"Peridot. Is that the Gem you guys told me about? The one that's trying to come to Earth?" Connie asked
"The very same," Y/n nodded
"Yeah. We stopped her before but, I guess she can still shoot stuff here from space," Steven sighed
"So... what do you think it was here to do?" Steven asked
"We destroyed it," Garnet said as she picked up a piece and tossed it aside, "Doesn't matter,"
"Eh... If Peridot sends more it might be good information to have," Y/n said
"Goop hug!" Amethyst cheered as she came from behind and hugged Garnet
"I can't believe you," Pearl groaned as she approached, covered in goo. Garnet didn't seem to care as she hugged Amethyst back
"Y/n!" Amethyst looked over and noticed Y/n standing there
"I have a gun and I'm not afraid to use it," Y/n warned
"Goop!" Amethyst cheered as she let go of Garnet and began chasing Y/n
"I just took a shower!" Y/n yelled as they ran down the beach

"Hi Steven! What's up? Have you read more "Unfamiliar Familiar"?" Connie asked as she talked with Steven over the phone. Y/n was in the kitchen typing up an essay for their English midterm while Pearl helped them.
"Yeah, but I'm -" Steven began as he picked up a book
"Aaah!" Connie screamed, "Isn't it amazing? How far did you get?"
"I'm in the middle of one of them but, I'm really confused..." Steven said as he examined a book, "They keep talking about this Plinkman guy who died... Am I suppose to know who he is?"
"Plinkman... but that's Lisa's dad... Steven? You're reading them in order, right?" Connie asked
"There's an order? Aww man, I just started with the one with the coolest cover. Hello? Connie?" Steven tried getting her attention, but she seemed to have zoned out. Soon, another shooting sound was heard that shuck the temple, "What the-?"
"Another one, another one" Y/n said in a deep voice as they shut their laptop
"Something entered the atmosphere," Garnet told as she emerged from her room as well as Amethyst. All five of them went to the porch and began searching the sky
"Up there!" Amethyst pointed to the robot shooting down
"It's another one of those things!" Pearl gasped
"It landed on Mask Island," Garnet told as she went back inside, "Come on!"
"Connie, I'm gonna call you back," Steven said as he stepped onto the warp with Y/n and the rest of the Gems.
"Is it... looking for a warp?" Pearl frowned as the group found the large robot wandering the island
"We have to stop it! Y/n!" Garnet called
"Got it," Y/n said as they pulled out their gun and fired two rounds at the robot, causing it to shatter and squirt goo on all of them, "Gross..."
"Yeesh. What are these things trying to do?" Steven asked as he shaked the goo of himself
"We're not... really... that sure..." Pearl admitted
"It's not trying to do anything now," Garnet said as she turned back to the warp pad, "Good shooting, Y/n,"
"Oh... Thank you," Y/n said

"Okay. So you read the first three books in order. Do you... like them?" Connie asked Steven over the phone, while Y/n was playing a game of "guess the smell" with Amethyst.
"Of Course! They're awesome! I really love Lisa's familiar - He's my favorite, I'm... just confused about one thing though," Steven said
"What's that?" Connie asked
"What... is... a familiar?" Steven asked sheepishly
"No! Ugh," Connie groaned, but soon her mind was taken by the sound of rumbling over Steven's phone, "Was that another one of those marble things?"
"Yeah,"
"Grrrrrrrr! What is with these things? This is like the FIFTH one this week!" Amethyst groaned as she slammed down a red solo cup Y/n prepared, "And this is milk mixed with lemonade,"
"Damn, you're good," Y/n laughed
"We'll find it in the Desert!" Garnet told as she waved over Pearl, Amethyst, and Y/n
"Connie, talk later!" Steven said as he dropped his phone, "Guys, wait for me!"
"I'm not going anywhere, bud," Y/n said as the gems warped off. Steven then stepped on the warp pad with Y/n, warping to the desert.
"Stop! Coming! Here! You! Stupid! Balls!" Pearl yelled as she sat on top of the robot, stabbing it with her spear
"Yeah! Let it out! Get crazy!" Amethyst said as she tried pulling the robot back with her whip
"Y/n! Do your thing!" Garnet called
"Guys, guys, guys! Stop!" Steven waved as Y/n reached for their leg, "How many more of these things are you gonna have to fight?"
"We don't know!" Pearl stressed, "They just keep COMING and COMING and we don't even know what they ARE! We don't know anything!"
"That's okay - I don't know anything all the time, it's like my whole life," Steven told
"Same," Y/n laughed
"But I have you guys to tell me about tell me about Gem stuff, Connie can explain what familiars are, Y/n tells me cool facts and news, and Dad tells me weird dad stuff," Steven said
"But nobody knows what these things are here to do," Pearl told
"Well... it probably does," Steven pointed to the robot
"What?" Pearl frowned
"We could follow it and see where it goes," Y/n followed Steven's line of reasoning
"Yeah!" Steven cheered, "That's what I was thinking!"
"Are you two nuts?!" Amethyst yelled
"Yes, definitely," Y/n said, "One hundred percent,"
"Who knows what could go wrong?" Pearl told
"We can't keep fighting these things forever. Well, we can....but I don't want to. Let's do it Steven and Y/n's way," Garnet said
"Yeah! Let's follow the funky flow," Steven said as he moved his arms around
"We're dead," Amethyst said bluntly
"Rad," Y/n laughed as they hopped on the robot, followed by everyone else.
"Alright, big guy. Mush!" Steven said as he patted the robot. The robot then began walking towards the warp pad. Once it stepped on, it warped to an odd, lifeless canyon place.
"Kindergarten..." Garnet muttered as the rest of the gems gasped
"Oh, why here? This site has been damaged enough by the Gems that were incubated here 6,000 years ago! That's it! It's confirmed. These things are up to no good!" Pearl said as she summoned her spear
"Wait! We don't even know what it's doing here?" Steven told
"Can't we just... see where it wants to go?" Y/n suggested
"Garnet?" Pearl asked
"Hmm... Steven and Y/n's way," Garnet said. Pearl sighed as she slowly put her spear back in her gem. The robot jumped down on the ground and continued walking
"What does it want here?" Pearl asked
"Maybe it wants to see where Amethyst was made," Steven suggested
"Maybe it should mind its own business," Amethyst pouted
"I don't like this at all..." Pearl murmured
"But..." Steven pouted
"I'm kinda with Pearl on this one," Amethyst told Y/n and Steven
"Aw, come on, can't you feel this guy's funky flow? He's a funk master," Steven told
"I can't believe we're doing this," Pearl said
"I can't believe I do a lot of things, but I still do 'em," Y/n commented
"Like what?" Amethyst asked
"Carry around a gun," Y/n laughed as the robot stopped
"Why'd you stop, li'l buddy?" Steven asked the robot
"Something's happening," Garnet said as she grabbed Y/n and Steven and jumped off, followed by the rests of the gems.
The robot opened a pyramid-shaped hole in the ground and changed shape to fit in, "Yes!" Steven cheered
"See? I knew we'd find something cool... Let's go!" Steven cheered as he grabbed Y/n's hand and jumped down onto the robot, the rest of the gems followed down, "Hey guys! Going down? ... Are you okay?"
"What is all of this?" Pearl frowned as she looked around at all the wiring. The elevator stopped at a control room. It then gave up a part of itself to form a hand that activated a pedestal and turn on a static monitor. A few seconds later, the monitor revealed Peridot. All the gems seemed to be startled as they jumped to hide, Garnet had grabbed Y/n and Steven who stood watching
"Established Gem Projection Link with control room. Plug Robonoid has successfully landed on Planet Earth and entered Prime Kindergarten Control Room in Facet Five. Will proceed to perform status check of Kindergarten," Peridot spoke
"It's Peridot," Amethyst whispered
"Is she trying to re-activate the Kindergarten? Doesn't she know it'll destroy all life on Earth?!" Pearl gasped
"We could ask her," Y/n suggested
"Good idea!" Steven nodded
"Shh, Y/n, Steven, we're facing an enemy we don't know with technology we don't understand. This isn't the time to be asking questions," Garnet told
"Really sounds like it is..." Steven murmured
"Ok, here's the plan: We can't let her see us, so we wait for an opening. When she's distracted, we destroy the power source on the far wall. Steven and Y/n stay here!" Garnet told
Pearl and Amethyst nodded to the plan, but Steven and Y/n nodded to each other and ran up to Peridot, "Steven! Y/n!" All the gem hissed in a whisper
"Now accounting for all operational Injectors. Checking for aberrations in perimeter," Peridot said as she formed two giant green hands, "Ugh, this Gem Tech is simply archaic,"
"I dunno, it looks pretty cool," Steven said
"I can imagine controlling to giant hands you can't see too well can be frustrating," Y/n commented. Suddenly, Peridot stopped what she was doing and faced the monitor towards Y/n and Steven
"Hi! I'm Steven," Steven greeted
"Y/n," Y/n waved
"There appears to be an infestation of "Stevens" and "Y/ns" in the Kindergarten," Peridot commented
"Daw, I'm not so bad once you get to know me!" Steven told
"I'm pretty bad even after you get to know me," Y/n joked
"And how many more Stevens and Y/ns are present in this area?" Peridot asked
"Oh, it's just us," Steven told
"Nee-ah, that's a relief. So tell me. Have Stevens and Y/ns replaced humans as the dominant species on Earth?" Peridot asked
"Nope, we're both humans," Y/n told
"There's lots of humans, there's my dad, Connie, Lars and Sadie, the mailman, Onion... I think... lots of people," Steven told
"Hmm..." Peridot pondered
"Now I get to ask a question, what are you doing?" Steven asked
"Hm, just picking up where we left off," Peridot said as she raised a fist above Steven
"Hey!" Y/n bent over to their leg holster, grabbed their gun and fired at the hand, shattering it.
"Agh! You primitive organic life form! Do you know how hard it is going to be to repair this place with only one hand?!" Peridot snapped
"Want me to destroy the other one?!" Y/n spat
"Not if I get you first!" Peridot said as she brought down the second fist, but Garnet sped forward and caught it, throwing it away, "A Gem!"
"Alright, let's do this," Y/n said as they Pearl approached and summoned a sword for Y/n, as well as her own weapon. Amethyst followed behind with her whip
"Ah! More? But the Red Eye didn't report the presence of any Gems on this planet!" Peridot spoke
"That's because we destroyed it," Pearl blushed
"You what? But the records say that Gems were wiped out on earth... wait a minute... you're the ones that have been destroying my Plug Robonoids... are you the reason the Homeworld Warp is down again? Is THIS your bizarre icon?" Peridot bombarded her questions as she showed the Crying Breakfast Friends sticker, "Why do you keep destroying my things?!"
"Because we are the Crystal Gems! We're still alive, and we're still the guardians of this planet and all its living creatures!" Pearl declared
"The Crystal Gems?" Peridot frowned. Suddenly, all the gems jumped and began fighting with Peridot hand and other technology, "Stop! How dare you? I'm doing this one way or another. You're just... making it... really... difficult!"
"Y/n, now!" Garnet called
Y/n nodded and threw their sword at the power source. The metal blade broke the source and caused it to short circuit, blasting the blade into pieces, "Whoops... Sorry, Pearl,"
"I'm reporting this!" Peridot warned as the screen went black
"Is it over?" Amethyst asked
"Okay... We, we might have gone a little too far this time," Steven said as he eyed Y/n
"Well, you two weren't completely wrong. We learned something new because of your decisions," Garnet said
"Alright!" Steven cheered
"But," Y/n chuckled a bit
"But yeah, this was a pretty bad idea," Garnet told
"Aw man," Steven frowned
"What happened to your sword?" Pearl asked Y/n
"It... kind of exploded when I threw it at the power thingy," Y/n told, "Sorry,"
"Why didn't you use your long rage human weapon?" Pearl frowned
"Well, all you guys are doing the hand to hand combat stuff... All up and personal, I feel weird using it!" Y/n told
"You did well, Y/n," Garnet said, "But use it to your advantage, we let you bring it for a reason,"
"Fine," Y/n pouted
