"Hey Theo," Stefan's hand brushed my forehead as I curled up in a fetal position on the bed.
I steadied my breaths, focusing on an anchor like Cam had taught me. I saw his face, Cam's, and I felt the panic leave me.
"Theo! Come on! Live a little!" Cam laughed. I raced after him, my lungs over exerting themselves as I tried to keep up with the other werewolf.
I tripped on a root and yelped as I tumbled down the rocky hills. Cam came to a halt and caught me. "Okay, we'll need to work on your coordination." He drawled, looking at me.
I glared up at him and got to my feet. "You're so mean." I groaned.
He grinned. "That's what I'm here for, Theo." we both laughed.
Cam's expression darkened as the wind shifted our way. "What is it?" I asked urgently. "Get down." He ordered. "I was down." I grumbled, but dropping and rolling into a thick of bushes.
He sniffed the air like a dog would and I held my breath as another wolf came into sight. "Aiden." Cam looked terrified. I growled lowly. "You really had us worried there, Cameron." Aiden drawled, smirking. "Running off with the new pup." Cam growled at him. "He's not a pup." He defended me. Aiden chuckled.
I felt cold. "Oh, have you been training him? Helping him?" Cam nodded stiffly at Aiden's words.
"Cameron, you have been sentenced for defying your alpha and helping a fugitive. Your punishment is execution. And if we find said fugitive, he will take the same punishment." Aiden announced.
Cam kept a straight face, and I saw him mouth 'go.'
I blinked back tears and crawled away, as the sound of claws being sharpened echoed through the woods, and I ran for my life.
And for Cam.
I tasted the salty tears in my mouth and Stefan looked down at me with sympathy.
"Your okay Theo." he told me. That was all I heard before passing out.
