Musings of a Devout Christian Turned Werewolf

I've wondered how I'll die...
Not by illness, nor by accident.
It'll take a lot to kill me—
A lot more than is normal.

I've wondered what'll cause it...
Will a pack war do me in?
Will I get in a vampire's way?
Vampires don't like werewolves.

I've wondered how it'll hurt...
A lot, as a slow death?
Vice versa, either, both?
Not that it'll matter in the end.

I've wondered if I'll care...
Forever is too long to live.
"It is appointed unto men once to die,"
But the type of death is left open to possibility.

I've wondered who will greet me there—
Me, the werewolf, the supernatural freak.
He will—Christ, that is; I am His.
At least, I hope so.

inspired by conflict between John 10:28* and the premise that vampires and werewolves are eternally damned by definition

*KJV version of John 10:28: "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
