"What you mean y'all hooked up?" Alonni looked at me.
"Exactly what I said, we hooked up." I smiled and sipped on my lemonade.
"So like what a kiss or sumn'?" She asked again.
"Girl, you is dumb. Set gave her the dick." Jaida laughed at her.
"OMG, don't be tellin my business." I threw a balled up napkin at her.
"Wait, when did this happen?" Alonni looked at me in complete shock.
"Girl, I only been out since yesterday morning. Tf you mean when did this happen?" I shook my head.
"Okay, what part of the day did this happen dumbass?" Jaida stuck her tongue out at me.
"After we left Compound last night." I stated.
"So you finally got piped by Set?" Jaida smirked.
"Girl yes I did." I could feel myself blushin.
"After all these damn years it took some more jail time and some liquor for him to dick you down." Alonni laughed to herself.
"Shit, I wasn't complaining though. We could do that again." I laughed then got serious while swirling my finger around the rim of my glass, "I'm scared though. I just don't want this one hookup to ruin our damn friendship."
"I don't think it will babe." Jaida looked at me with a small smile, "He's been feelin you for awhile now."
"I know he kinda hinted at it before we hooked up last night." I looked back at her, "But, how you know?"
"He started speakin on his feelins while you were gone." Jaida said smiling more, "But look at it, you and I been feelin Qua and Set for years. And I finally had the nerve to tell Qua's stupid ass while you was away, and now we're together." She sipped on her orange juice.
"I think you should talk to him." Alonni took a bite of her eggs.
"Y'all prolly right." I said while playing with the rest of the food on my plate.

I walked up to the door after Jai and Alonni dropped me off. I looked around the driveway noticing Ki's car was not here. I sighed due to the fact that I was ready to talk, but I just shrugged it off.
I stepped inside taking my shoes off by the door before turning around to close it. I went upstairs to my room to set my stuff down before changing into my one piece.
If I was gon' be alone I might as well swim so I could get some thinking done.

"Want some company?" I heard someone call out as I came up for air.
I turned around seeing Kiari standing at the edge of the pool watching me. I smiled a little bit before nodding my head.
He jumped in swimming right next to me as I hung on to the side.
"What you thinkin bout lil girl?" He asked.
"Ion know..." I looked at him, and looked back at the side of the pool, "Last night, and the fact you said you wanted to talk."
He nodded his head, "Oh, ian mean to let that happen Rum. I was fucked up."
"We were both fucked up, but it's obvious we were still in our right state of mind if we remember what happened." I shook my head. "If you didn't want it to happen you should've stopped."
"Nah, it's not like that." He got closer to me.
"Sure seems like it." I pulled myself up sitting on the side with my feet in the water. Ugh, time to just let my feelings out, "Do you know how long I've had feelings for you? How long I've wanted you to be mine? How long I've waited for that to happen?"
He looked at me as if not knowing what to say, so I continued, "Ki, I've had feelings for you before Jordan came along. I've wanted so long for you to want me in that same way, but it never happened. The reason I took that fall for you is because yes I didn't have shit to lose, but I was so tired of watching you fuck with this one and fuck with that one. So, I thought going in would help me lose all the feelings I had for you. In a sense I wanted to forget it all."
"Damn, forreal?" He looked up at me trying to block the sun.
"Yes, like I ride for you just so you fucking know, and I used to try throwin hints at you." I chuckled to myself, "But you've always been so fucking clueless to everything except the trouble."
"Okay, shut up Rum. Let me speak." He moved in between my legs facing away from me. "I know you been feelin me. I've known for the longest, shit mama even knew. I'm gon be real wit you, I've been feelin you too. Since the day, we first started hangin out."
I could tell he smilin, reminiscing on all the times he got rejected when we first started hangin out.

"Come on Rumi. Forget about Chris, and come be my girl." Kiari said as we sat on the phone that night.
He would call me every night during my second semester of freshman year, after we met at Lenox, and do this all the time beggin for me to breakup with my boyfriend. Before we met at Lenox, I've seen him around Atlanta before and knew he had dropped out. But, he was cute as fuck I wasn't gonna lie.
"No, Kiari I'm not doing that. You should know that I'm not gon just leave him for you." I laughed to myself.
"Whatever ma. You know you want me baby. Just let that nigga go." He begged again, "One time. For a real nigga."
"I said no." I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Whateva, you tryna come to the movies wit us Friday?" He changed the subject, "Yo, friend Jaida comin."
"I guess I can, but I gotta make sure I don't have plans wit Chris first." I told him.
"Man, fuck Chris and whateva fake plans you tryna make up." He semi yelled, "You comin wit us."
I got quiet while on the phone. I hated when he would do that, "Whateva Kiari."
"And you gon be my girl one day." He said makin me blush.
"Boy bye. That will never happen." I said, "I got school tomorrow. I gotta go."
"Aight bye babygirl." He steady pushin it.

But, in my defense for always sayin no is that he knew I had a boyfriend at the time, and I didn't think I was gon end up feelin him the way I do.
"You know how many 'no's' I took from yo ass? But, that shit kept me wanting more of your attention. That's why yo sophomore year I made sure to hang out wit you all the fuckin time. By the end of that year I knew you was feelin me." He shook his head, "You got sum special bout you that had me catch feelins, but I knew how I was and I didn't wanna hurt you or nun."
"What about now?" I quietly spoke up.
"Now? Just like you I've been waitin for that shit to happen." He turned around placing his hands on my thighs, "But, I want more than just that now. I'm ready to find someone I could settle wit, and share all this shit wit. It gets lonely as fuck out there."
It felt like he was trying to tell me he didn't want me anymore, but I know I was just being stupid. I studied his face seeing that he was in a deep thought, so I went for it instead being so fuckin scared...
I slid down into the water so that I could be face to face wit him. I wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist as he held on to the side. He smiled at me slightly, and that's when I just went for the kiss
It didn't take long for him to start kissin back, but there was something different about this kiss from last night's kiss. It was passionate and it just gave me the chills down my spine.
I didn't want to break the kiss, but I couldn't help it and started smiling at him.
"What is this?" I heard a female's voice.
"Get ittttt Rumi." That one I recognized as Jaida's, and laughed.
"The fuck y'all doin in my house?" Kiari called out to them, not letting me go.
"Well, first of all we're outside your house dumbass." Alonni stated rolling her eyes, "And secondly, Take n'em wanted to talk to yo ass."
"So much, for alone time." He said looking back me. Before he got out the pool he leaned and kissed me once again.
I was about to hear a moutful from these 3, and trying to avoid it I ducked underwater swimming to the other side.
"Don't even start." I yelled as I came up. "I'll tell y'all about it some otha time."
I was so happy, but was not ready for all of the questions. I wanted to be sure of what we were before talking about it.
