After 3 weeks of continuous long days filming for Long Shot I finally had a few days off for my birthday. I was so excited to just have time off, my family was flying in from England to spend my birthday with me, I couldn't wait, I hadn't seen them since Janurary. It was 1pm and I've just come back from the gym, I need to be at the airport at 3:30 so I have time to shower and have some lunch. I quickly showered and threw on some jeans and a tshirt with a hat
I made myself a sandwich and sat on the counter eating it. Demi was in the studio today so called her just to talk,
"hey babygirl" I greeted her,
"hey beautiful, I miss you" she replied
"I miss you too, you're still coming for dinner tonight right?" I asked
"yeah ofc I wouldn't miss it babe, when are you picking your family up?" She replied
"I'm about to leave now just wanted to hear your voice"
"that's so cute! I can't wait to see you tonight, I love you" Demi said
I smiled "I love you too babe, 6pm my place" I said before hanging up.
I got straight in the car and left for the airport, it was 3:00 when I parked so I walked to the arrivals hall and waited for them. I pulled my hat down so nobody would recognise me and text my mom
"in the arrivals lounge, see you soon x"
My mom replied around 15 minutes later and my phone buzzed, it drew people's attention. A few people had recognised me, I could see them trying to take pictures of me. A group of girls came up to me asking for pictures and an autograph so I obliged keeping my eye on the door.
"Thank you so much Emma!" They said as they left
"you're welcome guys, have a great day" I said as another fan approached me
"hi Emma, could I please get a picture?" A young fan asked
"of course you can" I said before taking a few selfies
"thank you so much" she said
"you're very welcome, have a great day" I replied as I stood back up looking towards the door.
I saw my family come through the door and they all ran towards me, I was so happy to see them. I could hear the click of phone cameras and knew that they would be taking pictures of me and my family. I picked my sister up and gave her a piggy back to my car, she's only 5 so I miss her like crazy. We packed the car with all the luggage and all got in, I asked them about their flight as I drove to the hotel, it's a 14 hour flight so they must be exhausted but they need to get on la time so we are going to go for dinner and maybe to an arcade.
"Are you guys excited to be out here?" I asked
"I want to go to Disneyland!" My sister Amelia demanded and we all laughed
"I want to go meet celebrities" my brother James said
"I think I might be able to help you there, do you want to come to the teen choice awards?" I asked
"yeah that would be awesome!" He replied
"can I come?" Amelia asked
"of course you can its tomorrow"
I drove my family to their hotel to drop their luggage off and freshen up, they also picked up a car to rent, it was 4:30 when I dropped them off
"ok I'll meet you guys here at 6:30, we can eat in the restaurant" I said giving them all a hug.
I left to drive home, it took about 30 minutes so I had an hour to get ready once I got back. I quickly changed into a more appropriate outfit
Once I was ready I heard Demi come in
"hey babygirl" I said giving her a hug and kiss
"wow you look wow" she replied as I giggled.
"We need to leave soon babe, are you nervous?" I asked
"I am, I know how much your family means to you so I hope they like me", she replied
"babe how could anybody dislike you?? They loved you before we even met so don't worry" I reassured her as she hopped in the shower.
She was ready within half an hour and she looked amazing
"damn babygirl" I said looking her up and down pecking her lips
We hopped in Demi's car and drove to the hotel, as we walked inside I saw my family and walked over hand in hand with Demi, my family stood up and greeted us
"Demi this is my mum Liz, my dad David, my brother James and my sister Amelia, guys this is Demi" they all exchanged hugs and greetings as we sat down.
My parents asked about Demi's life, her family and career, things were going really well they loved her which made me insanely happy. After dinner my family were tired from the flight so they went back to their rooms and Demi and I went home.
It was the morning of the Teen Choice Awards, Demi was performing and we were both nominated, I was nominated for 3, best lead actress in a movie, best guest star in a tv show and best movie, so I was hyped and Demi was nominated for 3, choice summer song, choice female artist and choice collab.
We were taking my brother and my sister which should be fun. We had breakfast and went to pick up my siblings, I gave my mum and dad a spa day and a meal while they were alone today. Helena and Jill came over to get us all ready, my brother was really looking forward to today. I called Helena last night and told her that my brother and sister were coming with and needed outfits so she managed to get them both an outfit which was awesome. I introduced my siblings to the glam team and Helena handed J his outfit, he really liked it and headed off to get changed
Helena handed me Amelias dress and I got her changed, she looked so cute and the style was so perfect for her.
They both looked really cute in their blue detailed outfits, I had just got my makeup done and I was putting my dress on while my brother got his hair styled.
I went for a cream outfit, with a floral pattern which my sister was also sporting. We looked really cute next to each other which was awesome, I briefed my brother on the carpet as we waited on Demi. Our car was here and Demi came down the stairs looking stunning, she wore a yellow dress and looked like actual sunshine.
We all got into the car and we were on our way, we had been sitting in the back taking selfies and stuff for snapchat the whole way which made the journey so much faster. I got out of the car first followed by Demi, my sister and finally my brother. I walked with my brother and Demi held Amelia's hand as we walked towards the fans. I signed pictures, posters, magazines and body parts and took lots of selfies, my brother and sister remained at my side and my brother ended up getting some girls phone numbers which I thought was funny.
Demi and I had spoken to as many fans as we could so we made our way to the carpet, Amelia and James stood back as I posed for pictures with Demi and some alone, I called them over for some pictures with me also some with Demi too, and then we went to the interviews. Demi was ahead of me but Amelia followed her so she ended up in some interviews where she went all shy which was sweet.
My brother James stayed with me during my interviews, he got asked occasional questions which was funny.
"So James you're 18 right?" The interviewer asked
"Yeah I am" he simple replied
"Whats it like having a famous sister, do you get bugged a lot by people asking for things?"
"I mean people definitely try but I have always had a tight knit group around me" he replied
"You have a youtube channel right? It's pretty popular you have over a million subscribers"
"Yeah its been awesome, its just an insight into my life and when I'm with Emma she will film with me too. So definitely subscribe to that for some behind the scenes stuff guys! James Racer!" J said and I laughed
"Get that promo" I said as we ended the interview and headed to meet Demi and Amelia.
We actually ended up meeting Vin Diesel on the red carpet which was cool since my brother loved him, they talked for a bit and we got some pictures together. After we went inside meeting some of our friends sand others in the industry, my sister just wanted to meet Justin Bieber but my brother wanted to meet everybody, we met Justin and took some selfies, he thought Amelia was adorable and hung out with her for a few minutes which was incredibly sweet. Justin was a good friend of mine and had been since day one so seeing him was always fun. We took a selfie and both posted it on instagram, I captioned it 'my favourite boy' as a reference to his song and he laughed doing the same 'my favourite girl' we both put a laughing emoji after the caption so people didn't blow it up.
Demi was actually opening the show so she had to go and get changed, we said hi to a few more people and took our seats as the presenter took to the stage.
"So let's get this show on the road, please welcome DEMI LOVATO" and the crowd started the cheer and shout as she walked out, she looked sexy as hell.
Her performance got everybody hyped, me and my siblings were singing along and dancing I was so proud of her. She performed a medley of some of her biggest hits followed by the new single, the whole room was dancing and singing the energy was so amazing.
After she finished her performance they announced her as choice summer collab which was awesome! 5 minutes in and she's performed and won an award!
Demi got changed and sat with us during the awards, we both won all of our categories so we basically slayed the awards. I think we won the most awards which was really cool, my siblings loved the surfboards. We took selfies with our awards then the official pictures and it was just a really awesome time and having my siblings here just made it so much more special.
