"matty?" i said through giggles, "can you stop i'm trying to make breakfast!"
he lifted his head from your neck, "why? we were having fun, y/n." his eyes turned a mock sad and he rested his head on your shoulder.
"you can do that when i'm not over a hot oven making food and could accidentally burn the house down."
he huffed and patted away to the counter and got all the other items out, "can you at least hurry so i can kiss you more?"
i giggled, turning around and accidentally hit my hand on the pan, burning it.
"shit!" i screamed and matty jumped from his seat over to me, "y/n? are you alright?"
i glared at him, "no matthew. you distracted me and i hurt myself, of course i'm not alright."
his eyes were soft as they stared into mine. "maybe i can make it better."
and his lips were on mine, then my face, then my neck, everywhere.
it was like he had this idea that his mouth could take away all the pain, which he wasn't wrong. if only it was momentarily.
"do you feel better yet?" he asked through a kiss
"maybe a little better." i smiled at him and he hugged me.
maybe all i needed was someone to kiss it better.
