After I dropped my girl off and picked Justin up,the decision was already made in my mind! I fucking loved this woman with everything in me...
Justin had got in the car with the biggest grin on his face...
"Can't wait to see our girls faces when..." he says before I cut him off
"Am gunna ask amber to marry me" I blurt out
He looks at me shocked at first but then grins at me,smacking my back
"No fucking shit man,that's awesome news" he praises
"Thanks man,I need to ask a favour though" I ask him
"Anything" he says instantly and I grin brightly at the lad who has quickly became my best friend
"I wanna do it tonight,after we do our thing for the girls...I've got an idea of how I wanna do it" I tell him
"Am all ear's my man" he grins and i drive away from his house telling him all about my plan
I make a few stop's first... first being getting amber's mum and dad's blessing...
Justin stayed in the car as I went to amber's parent's house
Ringing the bell I wait...
Barb answers the door with a look of confusion
"Russ? Amber's not here...she" she tells me before I cut her off
"I know Barb,I've just dropped her at Eva's house...I came to see you and Brian,is he here too?" I ask nervously
Her eyes widen "Oh! Yeah he's in the living room" she says "brian!! It's Russ" she shouts and motions me in to the house
I follow Barb to the living room where Brian is only to find he's not alone... Paddy & Ava are here too
"Hey Russ" Ava waves as paddy does a chin lift
"Hey" I gulp nervously
"What can I do you for Russ?" Brian asks
"He's came to talk to us Brian" Barb says widening her eyes in meaning oh shit does she know?!?
"Oh we'll step into the kitchen then,Paddy come on" Ava says standing up
"Actually it would be better if you stayed,as your amber's family too" I say nervously
Brian and paddy's eyes narrow as Barb and Ava's smiles widen fuck I feel faint! Come on now Russ pick up your balls and tell them!
"I came here to tell you that I love your daughter so fucking much,and I wanna ask her to marry me...so I was hoping,that I'd get your blessing" I tell them all
Barb and Ava "Awwwww" together both putting their hands on their hearts
Paddy rolls his eyes at them while Brian stares at me with narrowed eyes
"You think your good enough for my little girl Russ?" He asks
Nope!
I take a deep breath in "Honestly? No....Nobody will ever be good enough for her,but for some reason she loves me and I love her...I love her with everything in me" I say bashing my chest "I will never hurt her,I will spend the rest of my life making sure she stays happy with me"
Brian stares at me trying to see if I'm lying...
Fucking hell!! Say something!!
"Fuck it..brian if your not gunna say anything,I will! You have my blessing Russ,just make my girl happy yeah?" Barb says with a warning glint in her eyes that reminds so much of amber's spitfire
I chuckle and Barb frowns but before she can question my laughter I answer for her
"Sorry" I apologise to her "it's just,I can see where amber get's her fiesty from...saw the little warning glint in your eyes,amber does that before she goes all Scrappy Doo on my arse" I chuckle
Brian scoffs "Try living with the two of them" he says from his chair
Barb looks at him with a raised eyebrow and he stutters "And it was the best years of my life having my two girls with me under one roof" he croons pulling her down to sit on his lap and kisses her
Paddy fake coughs "Suckarse" and grins at him
Ava glares at paddy and he fake coughs again "think am getting a cold or something you know baby" he croons with a pout
She shakes her head and rolls her eyes
"Has he got your blessing baby?" Barb asks Brian
Brian sighs heavily and pats Barb on the arse so she get's up,getting up Brian walks over to me and holds out his hand and I take it...
His hand shake is firm at first until he starts to squeeze harder "You have my blessing Russ,but make no mistake...you hurt my girl" he shakes my hand and grins wickedly "I'll kill ya" he warns and let's go of my hand,throbbing I look him in the eye to show he doesn't intimidate me...
Paddy chuckles "Look at Brian,going all Vinnie Jones lock stock two smoking barrels on his arse"
Brian smirks at Paddy with a knowing grin "Gotta admit you can get some pretty good ideas from that film" and then looks at me
"You seen that film Russ?" He asks me with raised eyebrows squaring his shoulders to me
I have seen that film... Vinnie jones is a crazy arse motherfucker in it
"Yeah" I nod lifting my chin
He grins and nods slowly "Good,so you know what ideas am thinking then eh? Might even bring Bertha out to play....so consider that a warning yeah?" He tells me
I shrug "Sure" take no shit! Show the man you mean business
"Am fucking serious Russ,don't fucking shrug your shoulders at me" he growls
"I know your serious man,and so am I! I WON'T HURT HER!! I love her for fucksake" I growl back
"Kids got balls" paddy mutters
"The kid won't have any fucking balls if he hurts my girl" Brian growls at Paddy
"Brian I understand,amber's your little girl...your protecting her" I tell him
He scoffs "Oh mate,you ain't got a fuck all clue until you have a daughter of your own"
"Ain't that the fucking truth" Paddy chimes in
"Okay that's enough now,Brian do you give your blessing for Russ to marry our daughter?" Barb snarls
"Yeah he has my blessing" he grumbles
"And you have mine" Barb smiles warmly
"And you have our's" Ava says from paddy's arms
Thank fuck for that!
"Thankyou everyone! It means a lot to me to have your blessing" I croak "I better leave coz I've gotta go pick up her ring and then get to the venue,so I'll get amber to ring you all later" as I turn to leave
"Your a good man Russ,look after my baby okay?" Barb says as she walks me out
"Always" I tell her honestly and run to my car,getting in I look to Justin and grin happily
"That's a good sign,your alive and walking...I take it they gave you their blessing?" He asks
"Yup" i tell him "I got paddy and Ava's blessing too" I smile
He grins at that
"That'll mean a lot to her man,their basically her second mum and dad" he smiles
"I know man!! All can hope now is that she says yes" I say nervously
"She'll say yes Russ...trust me" he promises "she loves you too much to say no"
I hope to fuck he's right?!?
"Right,I need to go home and get one of her rings so I can get her size" I tell him as I sped home
"Where you thinking of going?" Justin asks
Shit! I didn't think of that!
"Erm?!?" I guess
He grins "Don't even sweat it mate,I got you" he grins "We'll go to the one I got Eva's from" he tells me
I sigh in relief "Cheers man" I grin driving up to our apartment I grab her Christmas present from her mum and dad- a pandora ring and take it with me....
Now to go get my girl her ring!
